This is just an idea I got for an exercise/game that I would like to practice more myself. With TTC, the TTW is stressful and when AF rears her ugly head, it is devastating. I feel like we all have been dealt so much negativity, and that it is up to us to brighten it up with some positive thinking! So here's the 'game', three questions for everybody on how to try to be positive when the test is negative. Alright here we go!
1. What is something that you have put on hold due to TTC, and can you change that?
2. What is a goal you might have for when/if AF shows up?
3. How do you celebrate your AF? How do you celebrate your body functioning normally or returning to normal?
These are my answers:
1. I have put off getting fit for a long time. I am not over weight, or unhealthy, but I would like to be strong and have good endurance one day! Lately I have taken up yoga and running, and I plan to stick with it!
2. This month I plan on buying one of those Thinx period panties! If you haven't heard about them, they are supposed to be the newest thing for staying clean and dry during AF. No more red stains!!!
3. I like to celebrate not being pregnant with a nice bowl of pot, and getting wrapped up in Fantasia.
Your Turn!
I'm new to gifs, but I have a huge arsenal of memes!
Wish I could make human babies like I make plant babies!
There's a gazillion of them!!

Re: GTKY: Dealing with AF
1. What is something that you have put on hold due to TTC, and can you change that? Really the only thing we've put on hold is our plans to travel to Paris. Not really sure I can change this while we're TTC only because our TTC efforts include frequent visits to the RE and giving myself injections.
2. What is a goal you might have for when/if AF shows up? I drink a lot of coffee during AF. At least I have that small pleasure
3. How do you celebrate your AF? How do you celebrate your body functioning normally or returning to normal? I've always had regular cycles so it's not something I'm *not* used to, but I usually just try to think forward to the next cycle and what we're going to do next for TTC.
Me: 34, DH: 38 ~ TTC since 2014
IUI #1-3 (Nov 2015, Feb 2016, May 2016) = BFNs

FET #2 (April 2019) = BFN
FET #3 (July 2019) = BFP! DS born 3/27/20
What is something you have put on hold due to ttc. - up until recently, I wasn't drinking any alcohol at all.....not one drip since my October 2014 wedding. That's when we officially started trying. Before that we were not trying but not preventing. But anyway. ..I've now decided to go ahead and have a drink every now and then " drink till I see pink" lol..... not that I'm a big drinker. I have never been a big drinker.
What goal do you have if af shows? - well then we count down to march 10.....my husband is having another SA done before we start the iui process.
During af I celebrate by not counting how many mg of coffee I'm taking In! I also refocus and look for other vitamins or herbs that might help with ttc. I'm already on a prenatal, b complex, b6, vitamin d and zinc, oh and baby aspirin. I read an article about using benadryl 4dpo until af or bfp for those of us with autoimmune antibodies. ...so I might try that because I have lupus. ..and I wonder if the lupus antibodies are preventing implantation.
Neat!
1. What is something that you have put on hold due to TTC, and can you change that? We put a lot of spending on hold. Going on any trips or out for a fancy dinner....but in the long run that has made us better off anyways. Our savings account appreciates it.
2. What is a goal you might have for when/if AF shows up? I'm like @wifeinraleigh28 and very much enjoy my coffee during AF. It is something that I can get excited about in the mornings!
3. How do you celebrate your AF? How do you celebrate your body functioning normally or returning to normal? Most times I get my DH to buy me an ice cream.

ive been putting off finding a new job. I know with my current job if I am pregnant and need to take time off, even if it's the full term plus a few weeks after delivery. I can do so and still have a job. And I know other jobs might not be to keen on keeping a job open for someone who is out for an extended time frame.
Im seriously thinking about finding another job regardless but I already have 4 months off starting in May so I have time to figure it out.
2. What is a goal you might have for when/if AF shows up?
currently AF. And trying to pack because we are moving in 3 days and have nothing packed. But this is the heaviest it has ever been so getting off the couch is a struggle.
3. How do you celebrate your AF? How do you celebrate your body functioning normally or returning to normal?
currently I'm cursing it because I don't have time to deal with these cramps. But I have also been indulging in coffee a lot more this week and had a Harry Potter movie marathon with my cat.
2. What is a goal you might have for when/if AF shows up? Oh I think I'll have a glass of wine, or three
3. How do you celebrate your AF? How do you celebrate your body functioning normally or returning to normal? Well I don't know that I will have one on my own or if it will be another provera induced cycle. I have maybe one period a year normally, sometimes every other. But, if my body did decide it wanted to start regulating itself I would be thrilled.

When we started trying last summer, I wanted to start horseback riding again, but figured I wouldn't have long before I was pregnant and couldn't ride.
Now I'm taking lessons again and loving every minute of riding. IF we get pregnant, I may even continue since my doctor says its ok to ride in early pregnancy.
2. What is a goal you might have for when/if AF shows up?
I'm not sure about goal, I guess I start planning our strategy for the next month. IE: this month is EPO supplements for me and EOD to ETD intercourse the whole cycle.
3. How do you celebrate your AF? How do you celebrate your body functioning normally or returning to normal?
I've been switching over to cloth pads, and I love the cute designs and how comfortable they are (not to mention better for the environment). Each month when I can tell AF is coming, I buy myself a few more cute ones, so I have almost enough for a full cycle now. They make AF a little more bearable, especially when paired with wine, chocolate, and sushi.
