Twatwaffle Tuesday!! 2/22

Starting a little earlier than normal because my TWATWAFFLE of a digestive system forced me to wake up. I miss my bed.

  • @mrszoess Wow, he needs to grow up.

The radio is a twatwaffle today.  I was feeling queezy and made myself some raisin toast to munch on while driving to work so it didn't get worse.  They started talking about how some local woman found a cut up mouse inside her loaf of bread...........while I was eating toast with raisins in it.  I almost threw up and obviously could not finish my toast.

  • I'm the twatwaffle today.  I spend the last few weeks griping about how I wish I had more symptoms and then when I awoke this morning feeling as if I was floating in a boat on a rolling sea... I drama-llama'd at my husband.  Frick.  I'm annoying.  Poor husband.

Is your brother 15? Because that's the only age it would be remotely understandable to react like that. I'm sorry you're dealing with that shittiness, but congrats on your rainbow baby!
Ummmm what? Seriously? I have no words for the level of selfishness! Come on, brother!

  • My mom is my big TW today. We usually have a get together around St. Patrick's day (it was my grandfather's birthday and we just continued the tradition after he passed) and it's super fun and a great excuse to get together and nobody likes to miss it.

Like a month ago my cousin said PLEASE DO NOT do it on March 19; her fiance's bachelor party is that day and it cannot be moved because of the work schedule of the groom's father. So what does my mom do? Convince herself that's not the day we said and scheduled it for 3/19 anyway. So now my cousin's fiance, my husband, and my cousin's dad will all be missing because they'll be at the bachelor party, plus DD is with her dad that day so she'll miss the party too, and now my aunt (who is our host for this party) has already called off work and everyone is scheduled to go for 3/19.

I'm super upset because out of my little family, I'm the only one not busy. I'm thinking about boycotting and taking the night for myself. I won't be in the mood for talking with anyone since DH and DD will be gone.

Part of me feels petty for feeling that way, the other part of me doesn't care if I'm being petty because I'm mad.

The guys I work with are Twatwaffles. Last week I gave paperwork to someone in order to get an order completed. 3 different people have asked me where that paperwork was since then.

Also, I ordered materials to finish another project, and those materials came in last week. Two people have now asked me to order the same materials today because they ran out. I had to tell both of them (professionally) to get their heads out of their asses and look on the materials shelf before asking me to order anything ever again.

And as I was typing this, I decided that there's another Twatwaffle at work that I wish would just shut. the. fuck. up. She keeps making up all of these "rules" and then trying to get everyone to follow them, and it's annoying, because now it takes like 20 steps to complete what should be a simple task.

Edit because # is when you press SHIFT+3, and I didn't need to press SHIFT.

  • The woman at the doctors office I work at is a TW. I'm conducting interviews today and she yelled at me in front of a candidate. Thanks for making me look important and respectful biotch.
  • I just love the word Twatwaffle! Is it wrong to call a 2 year old a twatwaffle? Lol He is really pushing my buttons today, and I'm praying he actually takes a nap today!

  • My friends are TwatWaffles.  This weekend is our girl's weekend at Joshua Tree that's been planned for, I dunno---4 months?

One girl backed out last minute and said it was because she had to work---and is expecting for us to find a replacement to take her place, so she can get the money back that she shelled out for the airbnb we are renting.  WTF friends?  What happened to commitment?
  • The OB office that I'm leaving gets weeks of TP and TW nominations. I and a beta a week ago and the results were back that night. I've called 3 times and they can't give me results because the nurse practitioner who ordered it never looked at them. The most I get is "It was a low number but positive. You'll be here the second week of March for an ultrasound so they can tell you the number then. I can't tell you anything unless it shows the person who ordered the work opened the file" That was strike 3 in the 2 weeks I've been dealing with them.

This! Yesterday morning, my birthday of all days, I woke up with this lovely cold sore. Its literally the only thing I see when I look in the mirror. I put lots of apple cider vinegar on it throughout the day to dry it out yesterday and it is much less noticeable today.

  • The guy on our team who sits on paperwork which has details of our projects until the last possible minute, and then gets all "oh, man, we gotta start this right now because it's due today" when he finally has time to get around to it. Meanwhile, the rest of us have had ample time to complete our portions, except we don't, actually, because this twatwaffle decided he had to be The Keeper of All Information for no apparent reason. He has no actual authority over anyone else on the team, so no reason why he should be keeping info from the rest of us or dictating our schedules/workflow. But yes, please do get defensive when I ask you why you were sitting on this info for 2 f'n weeks. That's real cool. You dumb, awful, twatwafflin' dick. Ugh.

Gah! That's so frustrating! My office is annoying because they never answer the phone except to just put you on hold immediately. I gave up and emailed them, and it worked out much better because then they called me.

I really hope you get all of that squared away soon!

I love coffee so much, I find myself at night, looking forward to my coffee in the AM. This morning, I just couldn't finish it. It just did not taste good at all. I don't know if it's because I switched to decaf and maybe it isn't as good or if it's the beginning of a new food aversion. Either way, it made me sad.

I hear you ladies!  Before I got my BFP, SO had just bought me a new burr grinder, beans from my favorite roaster, and a scale--so I can accurately weigh my bean to water ratio.  Lately, I haven't had the desire to drink coffee.  Makes me sad. :(
  • Ugh, I hear you @GingerGril, @MRSCORKER, and @annabenanna! I love coffee so much, but it has sounded completely disgusting to me for the last 2 weeks.  I haven't been able to drink regular or decaf.
  • My mom was being a TW this weekend. I told her what name we like for a girl and she literally cried because we weren't naming it after her?!? In what world do you assume someone is naming their baby after do and what makes you think you ave that right?

Weddings and babies bring out the CRAZY in otherwise completely normal people. It's like, all common sense goes out the window under both circumstances. Sorry you're dealing with it :(
Thanks! I told her to "get over it." Haha and that was it.

  • Someone stole my tapioca pudding out of the work fridge.  Who steals food from a pregnant woman?!?
  • My TW has gotten comeuppance! Someone at work who has been making everyone's life procedurally dumb got an upbraiding this morning and suddenly she's all solicitation. Fx it sticks.
  • My twatwaffle here is that it is still raining and that means a 2+ hour commute home today. Meaning I'll be too tired to cook a dinner when I get home. DH is having a bad week and he already made dinner yesterday, so I don't want to ask him. Why can't people learn to drive in bad weather? At this rate, I'll be home for an hour before I fall asleep.

    So done with my commute.

Noooo! Tapioca is the best! I would be interrogating everyone! The nerve of some people!

also I am off to the store to buy tapioca pudding because that sounds amazing and doesn't want to make me barf.

I don't know where you're commuting, but I completely feel your pain. I live in Phoenix, and any bit of weather brings things to a halt. It makes my already awful hour-to-drive-17-miles commute so much worse.

I was so ticked... it just made me so HANGRY after I had just had my salad.  It was the good KozyShack tapioca too.  Maybe I'll just go home and make myself a homemade big ole serving and eat that as my dinner.  I told my boss we needed our own "department" fridge so we didn't have to share with others.  Hope you enjoy your tapioca!
  • today my TW has to be the military health care. i just want to make sure i can go to an OB while i' in CA but what do they tell me oh we can't give you any info till u are there seriously WTF. i was really hoping to set up and app while hubs is there with me we are at 7 weeks and all we have had is a registration app. ugh so annoyed i need them to do something more then just ask me questions like idk and actual exam with a DR.  ok rant over i'll be calling back next week just before i leave maybe i can squeeze an app in white DH is still in the country.
