Strep throat and antibiotics

I was very sick and my dr diagnosed me with strep throat. ( didn't do a swab, which upset me)
i am allergic to penicillin so he did a z pack. After my meds were done symptoms came back. He put me on Clindamycin 300 -3 x's a day for 10 days. It says category B but it makes me nervous taking this at 5 weeks pregnant. This is my 4th child, I am not new to all this. Still find myself worried! TIA

I'd be worried too!  (I'm a worrier about everything    But just know that Clindamycin is one antibiotic like others that is generally considered safe during pregnancy.  The no swab wouldn't bother me personally.  There are quite a few people out there that only need a quick peek (and smell) at a throat to know it's strep.  That's why we go to doctors right?  Experience.   *hugs*  Sorry you're sick, feel better!
