**Lurking from July** I take Culturelle probiotics because my midwives instructed me to do so. They told me there is evidence that the strain in this brand can prevent Group B Strep infection. But I'd still ask your doctor, since everyone is different.
Nothing wrong with probiotics, they'll definitely help with constipation and can also help with yeast infection and UTI prevention. I take one specially formulated for women
Yes! My midwife advised me to take femdophilus throughout my pregnancy. This one is formulated specifically with cultures for women. It totally can't hurt to ask though!

Stuck in quotebox. This is the one I use. It's also refrigerated so it's got a high count
I've been taking them daily since right after I had my son 5 years ago and his pediatrician recommended then for him, us, and anyone else he could talk into taking them. He said they should just be put into the water supply in his opinion! My ob had no problem with me staying on them and I've had WAY less tummy issues this pregnancy, that's for sure.
I started a gut health focused supplement combination including a probiotic to help me get pregnant. My doctor checked out the ingredients on all and encouraged me to keep taking them throughout my pregnancy and into breastfeeding. He was most enthusiastic about the probiotic.
Yes! I take renew life 30billion & I have for the last 2 years. My doctor said they were great & to continue to take them. I love how they make me feel!
Yes, I take one nightly. Make sure and get a refrigerated kind. I had a pharmacist tell me once to not waste my money on the kind you buy warm on the shelf. She told me to go to a health food store. This is the kind I take.
@arteduc8 - How recently did you speak with the pharmacist about it? Years ago that was the general consensus but now there are a lot of great probiotics that are stable at room temp.

Hmm, I think it was around 2010? Interesting that things are different now. I hadn't heard that yet!
My Obgyn suggested that I start taking a probiotic at my first app. She said it was shown to decrease allergies in babies and all the other benefits you ladies suggested.
I'm on my fifth, yes fifth, vaginal infection this pregnancy. I asked her what I can do other than eating yogurt, wearing cotton undies, and being clean, and she suggested an OTC probiotic. She said they're safe.
