tugging at ear

Baby has been tugging at his ear a lot the past few days. I just had a cold recently and was wondering if he could be getting an ear infection but I also read some where that it could be a sign of teething. he will be 4 months on the 27th. Anyone else's LO do this?

I forgot to add it doesn't look like he is in any pain when I look at his ear or when he touches it.

I know this is the obvious answer but I'd take him to get checked just in case

Is is he showing other signs of teething? I'd still take him just to be sure

Same here! We had the pedi check his ears a month ago when he first started doing it and she said they looked good. He's been doing it since then and we actually just today noticed a little tooth poking through!

Yes he chews on his hands constantly. and I can tell when he's breast feeding he chomps down harder! I have an appointment in a few days!

My girl does this when she's really tired or when she's having a bad teething day

my 4 month old baby girl does this too...we thought maybe she had a cold, but I think it's due to the start of the teething process

Same thing here. Pedi said no infection probably just because he is teething!
