My RE recommended a support group the last time I broke down in his office, and I've been lurking here for quite a while - so here goes!
I'm 34, Hubby is 39 and we have been TTC for 14 months this March. After much blood work and multiple ultrasounds a Prolactinoma discovered in an MRI this past September. I've been on Cabergoline since then, but that stopped my O. My dosage was just lowered this week as my Prolactin levels are maintaining a 1.5 - 1.9 average. Doing OPKs again this cycle, hoping for the second line.
Obviously frustrated with the wait and the constant disappointment, but also specifically with the "Try this and come back in 2 months, we'll re-test your blood and go from there"... I don't want to wait and see, lets assume the worst, that I won't O - give me the next step now. And I know this is just the process and it's a long one with no guarantees, but I still feel crushed at each appointment. Anyways, reaching out to say hello and share my journey.

Telling someone they can't be sad because others have it worse is like saying someone can't be happy because others have it better.
Re: Introduction, prolactinoma
Im sorry to hear that you have to join us, even though we are all lovely women I rather have met you at a more fun board.
Its an exhausting journey and involves so much fuss appointments, that I sometimes wonder how Im still standing.
And I think it is because of these ladies (and men) that I still am.
So hope you'll find the same support I did.
I don't have any tips/way of increasing your odds medically, as I don't struggle with the same.
Do wish you GL on your journey and I hope with your next appointment you will get a plan, a hold on from your doctor.
Do you have to wait two months from now?

We did 3 Clomid and trigger shot IUI cycles in 4 months, all BFN's but my body did all the right things, we have MFI issues(count, morphology and anti sperm antibodies). I am now off the parlodel, just because I ran out and am waiting for my appointment with my gynecologist. I will ask her to run more bloodwork before going back on it since I temped last cycle and did ovulate.
I really hope the meds work for you and you can get back to treatment. This board is full of wonderful ladies and great support. Good luck.
I totally get the frustration of "let's try this and see what happens next month with your cycle" as that was me this time last year. It stinks that the way our bodies work we don't get the immediate results and have to wait and see if our next cycle becomes "normal".
