"Flame free" Friday Confessions!

mine: I dropped my bagel on the floor this morning. I'm ashamed to say that I rinsed it and ate it anyway.

White Knights don't bother me even when I totally disagree with them/the OP.  A lot of times I feel bad for them because I think they're just trying to share their opinion and agree with the OP. 

You guys cant flame me too much because I'm giving you an adorable GIF of a tiny duckling falling asleep!

All the itchy threads on the second trimester board drive me crazy. I don't understand how there needs to be a separate one for itchy arms or itchy legs or arms and legs.

I  feel like those who post new threads on the same topic on the 2nd tri etc board are just there for themselves generally. They don't care about your problem, they just want theirs to be known or fixed

I feel like that for the 1st and 2nd tri (haven't ventured to 3rd tri yet).  It just feels like those boards are less of a close community than the BMBs or TTGP.  I just like to laugh at the crazy sometimes.

@chafna @megstervt Oh totally. It just doesn't make sense to me. There isn't that community feel and it is largely individuals looking for answers to their problems (because their itchy thighs are not the same as someone else's itchy legs). It just clogs up the works for things that could actually be interesting

FFFC: pretty mild, but I brought my comforter into the living room and I'm laying on the floor while playing with DD. she's caught a nasty cold from MIL a few days ago and I'm so tired. Thankfully tomorrow is Saturday and DH can help tag team!

This week I used my husband's electric razor to trim my mustache. It worked fabulously.

My FFFC is that I've been avoiding negative people. I totally understand if someone is going through something like a job loss, a family member dying, a break up etc. but I'm kinda over the day to day Debbie Downer. Sometimes I feel like an asshole for not answering texts and calls but I just don't have the energy for it. I've also been avoiding the people who pretend I'm not pregnant and are in complete denial that we're having a baby. Nobody's got time for that.

FFFC: I only venture to 1st and 2nd tri for the juicy threads. If a thread looks reasonable, I usually don't open it... Only opening the ones with popcorn potential! Sorry not sorry. If your topic was reasonable and you aren't being an AW, why not post in your BMB?

Ran off all the crazy? Want to argue over vaccines some more? I never did get that flu shot... Circumcision? I still get really mad when people are smoking (even outside). Quick somebody post a pregnant undie pic! Or something political! Oh we can argue about godparents! Are god parents just for catholics or can agnostics assign god parents? Is it AW-y or legit? Who's throwing their own shower??? CONFESS!

Part of me was relieved that I'm having a girl because now, I won't have a dog in the circumcision fights that will inevitably go down soon.

You should know by now that other people make your parenting decisions THEIR business. 

And I would think penis is acceptable. It's the proper name for your child's genitalia.

I dont like when people teach kids cutesy names for their genitalia. I get that pee pee and stuff like that happens. but I had a case (social worker for victims of violent crime) where the girl was trying to disclose sexual abuse but it took forever for someone to ask the right questions when she was talking about someone touching her little frog. umm im sorry little frog does not = vagina. 

I will admit that I still giggle when people teach their kids to call their vagina a front butt, my inner 7 year old comes out to giggle, but I still dont like it and find it weird.

Yep @mckcak23 I feel the same way. My aunt still calls a penis a "peanut" and "down there" for vagina. She hates it when I look at her straight in the face and use the correct words lol. I am 30+yrs old let's be adults here.

I hate the county workers I have to deal with. Oh you had a 9:30am meeting with our mutual client but have decided not to show up until my session at 12 which is the same time every week making it so I can't see him after I drove 30 minutes to have that session.

worst part is they get precedence over me grrr screw you and your lack of ability to keep appointments I find that unacceptable!

@chafna I think we did have a sex disappointment thread earlier. It made me ragey because I was a disappointment to one of my grandmothers and she let me know ALL the time.

My birthday was last month. My mom got me a gift card to Bed Bath and Beyond with a note that I could use it at Buy Buy Baby too. She also got "me" an outfit for the new baby.

The ILs got me a gift card for Babies R Us.

Dh's birthday is this weekend. Guess how many presents he's gotten for the new baby? ZERO. He got a gift card to Home Depot and Bass Pro.

I know, I'm a grown adult. A gift is a gift, be grateful, etc. But WTF? Why would I want things for the baby, but DH wants things for himself? I hate this double standard.

About that disappointment: I admit I will be slightly disappointed if we're having a boy, but mostly because I just don't feel like DH's parents will love him as much. There are already 4 boy grandchildren AND we're a biracial intrafaith couple so...my baby needs a little edge lol COME ON GIRL!!!!!

...can you tell these next 3.5 weeks will be THE LONGEST ever?!?!?!

@BostonBaby1 yes!!!! Oh man! I was semi freaking out about what to do with a penis (circumcision or not), so I am pretty relieved this one doesn't have one. 

My FFFC is I got married in October and still haven't sent out thank you notes for my bridal shower or wedding. I feel like an ass!
