Freddie's arrival!

Our sweet boy entered the world at 8:47am today weighing in at 7lbs 9oz and 20 inches.

Last night I started to have back pain around 9:30 but have been having it on and off for the past two weeks. Around 10 it turned into full blown back labor and by 11:30 I was admitted at 5cm- I had been 3 at my appt a few days before. I had originally planned on a med free birth but that went right out the window. Around 2am I received the epidural and it mostly took, I had one spot that was still very uncomfortable but 100x better than what it had been. I was able to rest a bit and even get in about an hours worth of cat naps before pushing starting around 7:30 am, an hour and two small stitches later I was holding our little boy bawling my eyes out. The flood of emotions I never expected given my mental health history were incredibly overwhelming. I've been mesmerized with every inch of him
