First Time Grandparents - Gift Ideas?

Hello ladies!
  I have been looking into getting a cute little gift for our parents, since they will be first time grandparents (on both sides). My parents are military and do not live close, so theirs would have to be able to be mailed. I just wanted to show them how excited we are that they are in this with us! 

Any ideas or suggestions?

Since we found out the sex of our last baby right before Christmas we did ornaments for the grandparents. You could loop it around St. Patrick's day, Easter, Spring if that is something you would like to do. I use Google and Pinterest and they have tons of cute suggestions.

Check out etsy. There are SO many cute ones that you can personalize. I plan on getting something for my mom for Mother's Day from there.

I got my parents and in-laws a grandparents journal and an ornament with the ultrasound picture.

You could also do a grandparents frame. I'm sure etsy would have great options. Or, even one of the "love at first site" ultrasound frames.

I'm assuming that they already know? You could send a little nuk or a onesie and say something like for 'you to keep until we meet!' I personally do like the 'best parents get promoted to grandparents' saying. You could have a print made with that and mail it to them. I believe Etsy has some.

We got my parents a grandparents' book to fill out for the baby and we made DH's parents coffee mugs on Snapfish or Shutterfly with some pictures and the message, "Only the best moms/dads get promoted to grandma/grandpa." They are big coffee drinkers

I got my Dad a frame that said "Four Generations" and framed a family picture we took at Christmas, the night we told them. My grandfather, my dad, me and ... baby to be! (My Dad's birthday is next week)

For my mom, I got her a "grandparents journal"

I gave them a grandchild.  

That first Christmas, we made Shutterfly photo albums filled with pictures of DS's first year. We made sure to have full spreads with each grandparent, and we included pictures of DS's "artwork" from daycare. It's now an annual tradition.

We found out DDs gender right before Christmas and we had just gotten married in August so I made scrapbooks with wedding pictures and put pink paper at the end with ultrasound pictures and then filled in more pages for them to continue them when she was born.
