Yeast infection

so went to the gyno for my yearly and she said I had a yeast infection. I wonder if it was from the endometrium since it makes you moist and you always need to wear a pad. Anyone else's have this happen? And also is it safe to take the meds. I assume it is cause my gyno knows all about my meds

Re: Yeast infection

  • Hi! I was actually wondering the same and thought I would check with my clinic today..after all the meds I'm a little off-balanse down there and wondered what they would recommend I do.
I'll keep you posted when I know more. (but I do believe your gyno knows if it is ok, as (s)he knows about the meds)

  • Just talked to my clinic.
Completely normal and no worries about treating it with the regular capsules that balance the hormones again.
So you should feel safe with what your gyno prescribed :)

  • Thanks @tvh1982 I appreciate you looking into that for me. I figured it was from the meds I mean we take so many. I also talked to my friend whose a nurse and she said you would want your yeast infection cleared up before u get pregnant anyway
  • No worries, I had to find out anyway
They said its most likely the medication and the change in hormones.
I never have been taking this much in my entire life!

  • I had a (asymptomatic) bacterial infection when I started all this, and the antibiotic gave me a yeast infection.  I just used the monistat one-dose to cure it (with RE's direction).

My RE has had me on over-the-counter probiotics since then, which can help avoid recurrence of both bacterial and yeast infections.  You might ask your doctor if they recommend them?
