2 Months Left - Girl Name Help!

Hello All
I am 29 weeks into my pregnancy with my second child!!!  DH and I have one son named Elliot. We are team green!  Our boy name has been picked out for years: Miles. Our girls name continues to be a difficult decision for us. We'd love your help. Middle and last name are Teresa Anderson (will not change.)

Our list:
Josephine (Josie) Anderson
Meredith Anderson
Iris Anderson
Abigail Anderson
Marla Anderson
Ivy Anderson

What is your favourite from our list?  Or if you have some suggestions for Elliot's sister I'd love to hear them!!!

  • Iris is my favorite name, so easy choice for me!! Sounds great with middle and last as well :-)

  • I like Josephine and Meredith best.
  • I like Marla... And Marly could be a cute nn or name option.

  • Meredith or Ivy.

I like them all besides Marla.
    DD: Ophelia 5/18/15
  • Meredith or Ivy
  • Meredith or Josephine
  • Thanks for all of the input everyone!!  Meredith is currently our front runner. I think it's a beautiful name for a woman. My only hesitation is I wonder if it's too big of a name for a little girl?

She will be an adult for most of her life. Give her a name that suits an adult.
This. Also, you could give her a NN to go by. I know a Merey. Not sure if it's actually short for Meredith but it works.

Meredith is totally fine for a child!  It's a great name.  I've heard the NN "Mer" but I don't think you need to have one.
  • Iris or Meredith.

Besides, having the same initials as "I totally agree!" could be fun.
  • I like Iris the best and Josephine next.
  • I like Iris the best, followed by Abigail. Ivy is okay but I'm not a fan of the rest.
  • Meredith

  • Josephine is my favourite, love Josie. And Meredith is really nice and unexpected. But I'm kind of loving Elliot and Abigail together. You've got good options!

I love how Ivy Anderson sounds! It also sounds great with Elliot.  Definitely not a fan of Marla or Josephine. I'd stick with just Josie if you go that route. We have a lot of Amish near us and everytime I hear the name Josephine I think of an Amish person. Not that it's a bad thing, that's just the association I have.

  • Love love love Josephine.

I grew up with a friend named Meredith Lynn (she goes by both all the time) so I don't think Meredith is too much of a name for a little girl.

  • as a Meredith,  I personally don't like it.  it was always too sophisticated and lacks good nicknames.  but if you like it.. go for it...
  • I like Josephine and Meredith best.

  • Meredith! This was the other name we went to the hospital with for my first DD. We still love it and would use it for DD2 if it wasn't so close to DD1's name. I think it's such a beautifully classic and underused name.

    My second favorite is Josephine.

I really like Meredith and think it's fine for a little girl (or nn Mer). Also like Josie!
  • Josephine and Meredith are my faves, NAF of Ivy. I also don't like Josie as a given name. Full disclosure, DD is Josephine nn Jojo, so I'm biased.

Thanks for all of your input!  It is so wonderful to be able to bounce ideas off of all of you!  With your help, we are down to three:

    Meredith
    Josephine (nn Josie)
    and Iris

I think it'll be a wait and meet the baby final decision.
