Reflux moms

has anyone found anything that helps your baby with their reflux. My son has tried 5 different formulas, 4 different medications and nothing is working. We've tried feeding him less, we've tried burping more often, sitting him up. WE HAVE TRIED EVERY THING. Nothing is working. I'm wondering if anyone else has the same problem as me and if they have found anything that helps?

My cousin would let her girl sleep in her exersaucer, just to keep her upright. Her advice was to keep baby as upright as possible.

Is is your baby old enough to try solids?

Eta- I hate this glitchy app!!!! Also, I found that my baby's mamaroo exacerbated his reflux, so we don't use it anymore.

Is it reflux in the sense that it seems to be bothering him? Or just excessive spit up. My girl definitely has reflux but shes gaining weight fine. We just had her 4 mo check and and the dr still didnt want to try meds but did give the okay to start introducing solids if shes interested.
She also said that if baby is starting to teethe shes swallowing more saliva and that makes the spit up worse. I think it bothers me more than it bothers LO.

    Good luck mama!!

Eta: she literally spits up alllllll day long! Not just after eating and even if i keep her upright...
  • Our LO has been on medication since 1 month old. He spits up a ton, and the medication won't stop that. Especially now that he is trying to use his stomach muscles to sit up more. Between 4 and 6 months is actually the peak. Nothing will stop the spitting up, but the medication can only make them more comfortable.
  • Only thing that has lessened our spit up is Dr Brown bottles. We tried different formula but the enfamil AR made him scream bloody murder like it burned or something so we went back to normal enfamil. We go through so many bibs and burp cloths it's awful but he's gaining weight and always smiling so he doesn't seem bothered. We are on Zantac and that has helped him to not scream during feedings when we go to burp him so it's definitely reducing the amount of acid. Hoping only two more months of this spit up situation!!!
