@PugsandKisses sounds like I should be shopping at your target!!! I did not know Sears carried motherhood. I'm going to try to go there. Hopefully, I'll have more luck!
Pink Blush had some cute stuff. I'm plus sized, have enormous boobs, and am short. I got a couple sun dress and maxi dress types that fit pretty well. I had to get them tailored so they don't drag on the floor. One thing about the light colored tops is they are pretty sheer because they aren't double lined so you need to wear a white bra or a tank under. I usually wear an XL, but with the cut of these dresses I got a large. I haven't really checked targets selection because Everytime I go it is such a mess and I hate picking through things. And rarely do they have my size. I always tell myself it's because more and more women are buying those sizes. I feel like the fashion industry is really missing out on a huge market by not having good plus sized clothes. The average size is something like a 12? Sooo maybe they should start taking that into consideration.
I had great luck at the motherhood maternity that I went to, but maybe they just have a better selection than some other locations. My one complaint there was they have a lot of sale deals but they are super confusing. Trying to figure that all out took for-fucking-ever.
Old Navy has maternity online size 0- 18 I think? Not a huge selection in store - but I've found good things from them!
I tried to buy maternity jeans and pants from them online but they only had them in small sizes (0,2,4) and the one they had in my size was on back order until June 29th! I'm hoping they will restock soon as they are my last hope for maternity work pants
I'm extremely plus size and I'm loving JC Penney Plus Maternity tops. I haven't found any bottoms I've been willing to order online, I hear they all run small and it makes me nervous. So I've been wearing big dressy type knit pants in place of.
I am plus sized and was able to find some pants at old navy. I found that they run extremely big (but with old navy it can depend on the pant, they appear to have no consistency). I normally wear a 20 and ended up in a 16 maternity. I am also 5'11 and generally wear a 36' inseam and their long seems to work for me. Their maternity shirts tend to run a short for me, but then again I have a long torso.
@mckcak23 good to know their maternity sizes run a bit differently. I'm normally a 20-22 in pants, so I thought I would not be able to do pants from there. I will now check it out!
I set up a house meeting with my roommates for this evening to talk about some changes that need to start happening with the impending baby situation. They didn't show up, and then one of them came home. Drunk. With a friend. And then asked my husband when the meeting was. Like I'm going to discuss anything with you and your drunk friends. WHAT? Gah I'm so frustrated and I'm trying to meditate through it and I am not being very zen right now.
I don't know what sizes everywhere carries, but I went to Morherhood Maternity because MIL is amazing and sent a gift card- holy clothing! So far I'd only gotten hand me downs or new stuff from the 1 rack at Target. Wow! Clothing made for pregnant people exists! I spent way more than the gift card but it was worth it. Definitely check Pea in the Pod and Motherhood Maternity (same company)- the selection is nuts!
I think I'm going to check out H&M's stuff, they seemed to have really cute things on their website for a good price. My younger sister works there, I'm thinking telling her what I want and then giving her money to take advantage of her discount.
I bought things from old navy, but some items that didn't fit. The receipt mentioned twice that I couldn't return maternity clothing at the store and would have to ship it back. BUT went to the store anyway and they had no problem taking the returns. Just a random FYI
Having worked at an Old Navy for longer than I care to admit..you definitely CAN return maternity in store. That being said, some stores don't carry maternity and have to mark them 50% off instead of selling them full price. So if your local ON doesn't sell maternity, check through the clearance!! Anything online only or maternity will be marked with a red "damage discount" tag and can be anywhere from 50-75%off the original price. Helpful hint
My mother in law is a godsend! She took me to motherhood for a crazy shopping spree yesterday. I have tons and tons of dress pants. So comfortable!!!! They had the greatest variety of professional clothing. Finally. They get me!
