Re: Weekly Check In 2/12
How are you feeling? Pretty darn good, it feels like my hormones are balancing out and my breast tenderness is fading and I don't really have any symptoms any more except for bloating and a big big belly by the end of the day. I just pray that it doesn't mean that the pregnancy is disappearing as well. But by now the placenta is taking over so all I can do is hope and pray everything is ok.
Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?) I finally have my first appointment on wednesday! I have no idea if I will get a little peek at my LO, but I should have the NT u/s shortly after so that is exciting and terrifying all at the same time.
Rants/Raves/Questions: My rave is that because of my craptastic insurance if I wanted to do genetic heritage testing it would have cost us thousands of dollars (boo.) But I found this service online called Jscreen that tests for everything that needs to be tested for only $99. Truly an amazing service and I am so grateful for it. DH and I sent our samples off today (they use saliva.) We both have ashkenazi jewish heritage and so we are at a higher risk for certain genetic diseases. You can sill use the service if you don't have jewish heritage and they are heavily subsidized by donors making it possible for anyone who wants to get tested to do so. It really is amazing what they can do these days!
GTKY: Let's hear some pregnancy related confessions! The more embarrassing the better, because let's face it pregnancy makes us do strange things.
So I might have eaten a whole (smallish) bag of sour cream and onion kettle chips over the past 2 days all by myself and..... a bag of organic cheese puffs too (DH helped a little with those- but that doesn't make it any better.) I have been avoiding cooking or preparing food because I have been kind of lazy and eating chips instead. And this is why I never bring bags of chips home, I will eat them all! So ashamed!
How are you feeling? Still exhausted. Still bloated/gassy/constipated. Still getting evening nausea. Still some boob soreness. But all of it is relatively manageable and I'm still able to function pretty well during normal waking hours (which last, for me, until about 8:30pm. haha).
Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?) Almost halfway to my next appointment! Anxious for the 29th to get here so I can hear baby's heartbeat and be ready to close out the first tri (though I know some say 12w, some say 13w, and some say 14w is the end of the first tri, this time I'm choosing the earliest possible date!)
Rants/Raves/Questions: Not really. Other than that I was so excited to get a molten mocha latte on my way to work this morning. And then I forgot to order it decaf. And so I looked up the caffeine content and it's 185mg and I KNOW that is technically allowable during pregnancy. BUT I have been so vigilant about being caffeine free even while TTC (a personal choice, not one I think everyone needs to make), that I totally can't enjoy it. So my ridiculously expensive fancy drink is sitting on my desk mostly full, taunting me. Oh well.
GTKY: Let's hear some pregnancy related confessions! The more embarrassing the better, because let's face it pregnancy makes us do strange things. Well, let's see. I'm sure I have loads of these... I have totally farted gross farts at work that I could not control and had to scoot away in a hurry in hopes that no one would notice. I have an insatiable appetite for ice cream, that I'm trying to put a cap on, but it's hard. Even when nothing else sounds good, I can ALWAYS eat ice cream. Oh, here's a good one: About 8 months after I gave birth to my son, I totally peed my pants while sitting on the couch. It freaked me out--it felt like my water had broken but I was not pregnant. I'd never ever had bladder control issues, so I really didn't think it was pee. But I called the OB and talked with the nurse and she told me that probably my bladder had just freaked out for some reason and not to worry. It was "normal." Haha. Pregnancy weirdness is the gift that just keeps on giving, I guess.
How are you feeling? Really good, actually! Sometimes I even forget I'm pregnant. I didn't have any heartburn last night either, which is pretty much a miracle.
Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?) Not much going on here, have a 34 week appointment on Monday. Little mister is up in my ribs ALL the time, which is a bit uncomfortable!!
Rants/Raves/Questions I can't think of any rants this morning aside from feeing mildly annoyed with my 15 year old son for not cleaning out his thermos after telling him he could have hot chocolate. I asked him twice. He is going to do all the dishes when he gets home from school this afternoon! My husband's grandmother bought us a Britax convertible carseat, which is awesome because that is $300 we don't have to spend on baby gear. I'm getting my hair cut tomorrow I will be able to start motherhood X3 at least looking like I have my sh*t together. The last two times I cut my hair I had DH do it. I'm so high maintenance.
GTKY: Let's hear some pregnancy related confessions! The more embarrassing the better, because let's face it pregnancy makes us do strange things. So last night, after eating a very healthy homemade veggie burrito, I ate a Haagen Daz bar, and then asked DH to bring me a Five Guy's burger with fries. I. Regret. Nothing. Then I called him again and asked him to bring me a Coke. I never drink soda, I think the stuff is the devil, but I reeeeealy enjoyed that coke last night! I also got myself a sausage breakfast sandwich from Starbucks yesterday morning because I had to get up at the crack of dawn to take my son to the orthodontist. Wow. I was out of control yesterday.
@sporty1216 When I was about 14 weeks pregnant, I was on a walk about 2 miles away from my house when I began having severe gastrointestinal distress. There was no way I was going to be able to make it back home to use the bathroom-- i could barely walk-- and I didn't have my phone with me so I couldn't call DH to come rescue me. Luckily there was a thickly wooded area on that part of the trail...
@createillumination I hope you get an ultrasound at your visit!
still feel great, had my checkup on Tuesday, trying to keep my weight 5-10 less then last time as my sciatica at the end was unbearable, like got stuck on the toilet and couldn't move, had to 'fall' onto the floor to try and get up.
Baby news/rant: for some reason in TN, ob's don't allow children, seems a bit contradictory, but it's starting to lists me off. I have a few people to watch DS, but my dr's office has called to change 3 out of my last 4 appointments...like the day before. So I made a stink when I went in on Tuesday. This never happened at my last practice in NC, they were a well oiled machine. On top of this, I need to get a level 2 US at Vanderbilt, about 45 minutes from me, and can't bring my son, and the appointment is at least 2 hours. I don't have anyone to watch Him all day. My mother is flying in from Boston to the rescue, so I made 4 appointments for the same week in March over the 3 days my mom is here. Thank goodness for awesome mothers. So I guess it's a rant and rave:)
embarrassing pregnancy stuff: discharge discharge discharge, I don't miss this part, it's just all the time, hate wearing pantry liners 24/7, grrrr.
@mthoomom, love your food diary yesterday, all of it sounds amazing, need a burger today!
@sporty1216, I wish I could give up caffeine, definitely no way I could have it sitting on my desk like that! Way to go self control!
How are you feeling? Pretty good. Still SO TIRED, heartburn pretty much every day and I have yet to pinpoint a trigger food, so I think it's just random, breast tenderness is improving. Otherwise feeling great.
Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?) I meet the genetic counselor on Tuesday. I'm hoping they'll just do whatever testing we decide on that day. Then I'll see my OB two weeks after that with another ultrasound. I scheduled my level II ultrasound which was exciting. So, on April 6th, we'll definitively know the sexes.
Rant: I feel like I'm seriously losing my mind. I can't remember ANYTHING! I remember this from my first pregnancy, but it seems WAY worse and way earlier. I forgot to take my daughter to ECFE class on Tuesday night. Didn't even cross my mind until I got up on Wednesday morning. Mind you, we've been going every Tuesday night for a few months!!! At this rate, I just wonder if I'll be catatonic by the time I deliver...
GTKY: Let's hear some pregnancy related confessions! The more embarrassing the better, because let's face it pregnancy makes us do strange things.
Well, besides all the already mentioned gross bodily functions... I am currently sitting on the couch "bumping" having just consumed a bag of potato chips (plain, which is so odd for me) that says it has 3 servings, a can of Sprite and a pack of Now and Laters. And I don't even feel bad about it.
Also, I love Fridays because, well, Friday. But also because it's so great to hear how everyone is doing. A highlight of my week.
ETA: I just realized my phone changed junky to kinky! Ack! I'm leaving it because it is funny, but I meant junky. NOT kinky. Haha.
@createillumination - I'm so excited about your upcoming appt! Can't wait to hear more next week.
How far along are you? 6w5d
How are you feeling? Today, I'm feeling pretty great. Since Tuesday, my symptoms have gone down tremendously, but I honestly think that is because I now have half the hormones, etc. going through me (that's how i'm rationalizing it even if that isn't logical).
Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?) I think I've been lumped in to being high-risk, because when I went to the ob/gyn this morning for my rh- shot, she insisted that she see me as close to 8w as possible. She wants to get a bunch of other appts (nipt, etc.) lined up then as well. I'm all for being proactive. I have an ultrasound and initial ob/gyn appt on the 22nd (8w1d) and then a follow-up ultrasound with my RE on the 26th (8w5d).
Rants/Raves/Questions: I'm raving about the support I've received from this forum.. It means a lot to not only have people listen to me, but also to be able to read and understand what others are going through. Makes me feel a lot more normal. Rant: I'm tired of being tired, but I don't think that's going to change.
GTKY: Let's hear some pregnancy related confessions! The more embarrassing the better, because let's face it pregnancy makes us do strange things. I've totally cropdusted my husband more than a few times, and I admit to feeling a bit gleeful when I do it. I've already started a registry on Amazon so I don't forget things I might want.
How far along are you? 12w1d
How are you feeling? I've been feeling pretty good other than non-stop ravenous hunger and slightly sore boobs.
Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?) Just got back from a scan, and I am elated that baby looks great and has a strong hb despite some recent spotting. I also just got the cell-free DNA blood draw and should have the results back in 10-days. Fx it comes back negative and we can share the news far & wide! We just told DP's parents today and will tell my parents this weekend, but waiting for the all clear on the genetic testing before letting the world know.
Rants/Raves/Questions My rave this week is for my partner. All I can say is that I don't know what I would do without him. Whenever I've had a scare in this pregnancy, he is literally willing to do anything and everything he can to make me feel better. He already does all of the cooking for our family but he steps it up and completely caters to me while taking care of our toddler so that I can rest. I can also see how attached he already is to the idea of this LO and even though he's not effusive about his emotions, it's sweet to see how much he cares and worries when I'm worried. It's just a good feeling to know you picked the right person to share this crazy journey with.
GTKY: Let's hear some pregnancy related confessions! The more embarrassing the better, because let's face it pregnancy makes us do strange things.
Ok, if we're talking food...I had three separate breakfasts this morning between 6am and 10:30. Then, when I met up with DP for my appt., he had his lunch with him and I ate half of that. Then, after my scan we went down to the hospital cafeteria and I had a burger. At this rate, I will have had no fewer than 7 meals by the time this day is over! Oh, and did I mention I'm hungry AGAIN!!!
Feeling a bit better. Nausea is slowly subsiding, although I often still feel that slightly barfy feeling. Got some bloat going on, mild headaches, cramps here and there, tiredness, etc. But other than that, I'm doing pretty good.
No baby check-ups until March 5th. Seems so far away...
Life has been a bit nonstop lately. DH and I are going on a little trip next weekend. Can't wait for some time away! I bought some new maternity hiking pants so we can get some good hiking in. YAY!
Talking about peeing...I was at the studio where I teach, finished up, wiped and stood up. But then was shocked that things were still dribbling and wouldn't stop! It was like I was still peeing but couldn't even feel it (except it dripping down my leg). It got on my pants and the floor. Ugh. Luckily I was done with class and could go home and change (and it wasn't like my pants were soaked or anything) but man I was concerned! It only happened that once but I'm still afraid to stand up too soon.
The eating is starting to get a bit out of control but I've avoided chips at all costs because I wouldn't stop at just one bag. I'm still overeating on healthy foods at this stage so I guess it's not that bad??? Although I stuff myself silly and then have to lay on the couch moaning for awhile because I'm "too full" and then once that full feeling passes, I'm back to eating again.
NTNP since 11/12, actively trying since 8/14

I have definitely already had "3 breakfasts" and I'm onto 2nd lunch as we speak, luckily I stop by about 5-6pm so I can be in bed by 8pm
@sporty1216 I love fridays too and hearing everyone's update! I also love that there is a board that is a perfect fit for me (and all you guys
@jilligan14 it is time to start pregnancy squats! They help with the exact situation you are talking about. I posted a video on another post with a semi good explanation of pregnancy squats, not sure if you remember seeing it? Just remember legs wider than hip distance, toes face forward. Inhale down, stick the bootie way back (knees don't go over toes) push through the big toe as you come up to tone the pelvic floor. The pelvic floor is where it is at for bladder health! It could be something else, but you might be surprised how effective they are. Do as many per day as years you are old.
@Mamafesto that is great you had a good scan!!!
@wyattnash00 sorry about the mismanagement at your Ob's office, that is lame!
ETA: I forgot the most important part! My prenatal teacher trainer taught me these next 2 things and it changed my life. Ladies this will save you from many many pee problems later on in life....
1. Never go pee "just because" ...your are going out the door, you might not be near a bathroom soon, ect... The bladder is a muscle that if only filled a little, and then emptied starts to atrophy and get weak. It must fill to capacity in order for it to stay strong. Wait for the 2nd urge to pee as you "rehab" your bladder (if you are like me and use to pee all the time "just in case")
2. Never "push" your pee out. Even though we are in a rush never push the pee out. It irritates the urethra and damages the pelvic floor. Let the pee flow naturally ladies.
These 2 steps can change your life if you are anything like me. I totally did both of these ALL the time. I am still "rehabbing" my pee habits and sometimes I go without the bladder filling, but it is a work in progress.
@jilligan14 where did you find the maternity hiking pants?
@mamafesto You are not alone! I've been eating 2 breakfasts this week! On the bus ride to work I start to feel ill and think that a plain bagel w/cream cheese will help me feel better. It does! I'll probably buy bagels and cream cheese at the store this weekend to save money. Of course I may find them disgusting by next week
@Sporty1216 your ice cream comment reminded me of the pregnancy day by day book you recommended (which I love). There's a part that talks about cravings and says something like "instead of eating the whole container just eat a couple of spoonfuls". A couple of spoonfuls? Ok, book. Whatever!
How are you feeling? Still so tired and boobs very sore. My mood has improved a bit this week The irritability has been replaced with a wonky appetite/intermittent mild nausea. I've been eating hummus/greens/swiss cheese sandwiches for weeks. This week I had to switch to PB&J. What sounds good to eat is all of a sudden not the healthiest stuff.
Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?) My final RE appointment/ultrasound is scheduled for February 29th.
Rants/Raves/Questions I got chosen to co-teach in a new classroom next year! I already knew, but it was just announced to the whole staff. People are saying "congratulations!" to me about the job and that freaked me out the first time I heard it since this pregnancy is more on my mind than the job (and they don't know about the pregnancy). And I feel a little like a phony because I really hope NOT to take the job and instead have a baby in September and take the whole year off. I just say that I am excited for a change and that the fall seems like a long ways off
GTKY: My sex drive has been pretty nonexistent since finding out I'm pregnant....unless I'm dreaming. I've had a couple pretty vivid sex dreams! One time I even woke up feeling like I was having an O! I'm not sure either of these things are pregnancy related, but hey, there it is...
@BernieRae -- I laughed at that spoonful suggestion! Yeah. Right! In fact, I have a pint of cherry Garcia waiting for me once LO goes to bed since it is DH's monthly poker night. Couch. Cherry Garcia. Trash tv. Can't wait!
How are you feeling? Pretty good, if I'm able to stay awake. So. Tired.
Any baby news? I had an US on Monday and have my 12 week scan scheduled for March 1. I will also do a cell free DNA test (whichever one is approved for twins). This will be the longest I've gone in between USs, so I'm a little nervous.
Rave: I went to Babies R Us to trade in a couple of expired car seats and to get infant carriers for the babies. The lovely customer service lady gave me 25% off for the trade-ins, 10% off for the multiples discount and an extra 15% off to be nice...so I saved $220 on infant carriers and two bases. Good deals put me in a great mood!!!
GTKY: Don't even know where to start with this, so I'll just recount this week...one day I left work early just to go to Sam's Club and get one of those giant jugs of cheese balls. Then I ate them in the car on the way home; I fell asleep during a staff meeting and did that embarrassing head bob thing; and I threw up for the second time from morning sickness and peed my pants at the same time. I'm so proud.
How far along are you? 19 weeks 3 days
How are you feeling? Great! I started back on my morning latte which is 1T espresso, 6-8oz of warm milk and 1T coconut oil. Honestly, the best thing I have done for myself this pregnancy. My energy is up, I have more focus at work, I am less anxious. Go go gadget caffeine! And coconut oil.
Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?) I started feeling the flutters late last week and this week, Baby Girl is definitely moving around. She seems to be most active first thing in the morning, around dinner time and whenever I am at rest or sleeping. The flutters woke me up for the first time last night. Other than that, no new news. The anatomy scan is at the end of Feb when I'll be 22 weeks. Can't wait to see her again!
Rants/Raves/Questions I won't rant this week. My rave is the house cleaning service I hired. I will never go back to cleaning the house by myself again, particularly because my idea of cleaning is to do the bare minimum. The fact that house is clean gives me an incentive to really keep up with it. This leads me to my question: can anyone recommend some good mostly earth-friendly cleaning wipes? I looked at 7th Generation but the reviews complained about the smell. I assume it's the citronella because many reviewers said they smelled like bug spray. I also looked at GreenWorks and Shaklee H2. Do any of you use cleaning wipes? Right now I'm working through the Clorox/Lysol and I may just stick to those. I keep a container next to the kitchen sink and on the back of the toilet. Now if I could only get DH to use them....
GTKY: Let's hear some pregnancy related confessions! The more embarrassing the better, because let's face it pregnancy makes us do strange things. Hmmm.... let's see... where do I start.
1) The first time I went baby shopping I saw the cutest Newborn Yellow Sundress and I started bawling in the middle of Target. I couldn't stop crying and had to leave. Of course, I bought the dress and hope that she'll be able to wear it at least one time!
2) Once I projectile vomited quite suddenly all over the inside of driver's side window of my car (I was around 11 weeks then and thought for sure I was done with MS). A bunch of people saw me do that.
3) I am SO GASSY ALL THE TIME. I work at an assisted living facility and have often blamed my rancid gas on one of the residents. People fall for it all the time.
4) I regularly change the water cooler bottle at work. It's ~45#. So far, no one has caught me doing that.
5) All of the boogers! I am so snotty and boogery! Usually the winter increases nasal mucus production but this year is the worst! So much mucus and the dry, cold air makes them stick to my nose hairs. I constantly want to pick my nose and forget the tissue because I know a finger nail will get that sh*t better than a tissue could. I use tissues because I don't need another reason to be a social pariah.
6) I am working on a letter to my unborn child. So far it's about 4 pages and does not shy away from anything. I talk about morning sickness, my thoughts and emotions, the things DH and I have done since I've been pregnant, how I want to raise her, where DH and I want to take her for trips, how we told our families, everything. I will eventually give this to her when she is old enough to appreciate and understand it. Perhaps if she decides to have kids of her own. The whole exercise is mainly self-serving right now, but it feels good to log my experience and read it so I can see just how much has changed in 5 months.
7) I have really come to depend on daily texts from my sisters and from my 2 besties of 20 years (who are my sisters from other misters). I am so thankful that they are part of my support network and I wish I could express in words just how much their texts, FB messages, Snaps, phone calls, and visits mean to me. There I go! I'm verklempt again!
Edit: WIPES not wives...
How far along are you? 16w2d
How are you feeling? I've had a terrible cold for 6 days. I'm so miserable.
Any baby news? I have an appt to hear the heartbeat on Wednesday. I thought I'd be fully confident for the rest of the pregnancy, but I confess I'm still a little nervous that they won't hear anything.
Rant: This is supposed to be my happy second trimester. I want to feel good!
GTKY: pregnancy related confessions! I have a hemorrhoid.
I feel like this post was written by Eeyore.

@CarrieandRoy I have one, too.
And now for the other end....
@CarrieandRoy I have had a prolapsed one for YEARS. It occasionally bleeds ALOT. I switched toilet paper from the el cheapo 1 ply to Cottonelle which helped tremendously. I use an over the counter cortisone hemerrhoid cream and/or Anusol suppositories that I have an Rx for when I have a flare up.
I have had fewer issues with it during this here pregnancy than I did before... I am kind of waiting to see what the 3rd tri and birth bring... I expect it will wicked flare up again. Roids are no fun! When I asked the midwife what I could do if I had a flare up she said, "Tucks pads and use your finger to stick it back in." Sooo.... there's that. Hope you feel better!
How are you feeling? Nausea continues to wave, not quite able to forgo the diclectin yet but slowly able to decrease the amount. Also my aversion to coffee is gone.. Yay I love coffee, not quite back to my usual cup a day habit but two or three times last week on very cold or tired days I enjoyed a cup.
Any baby news? Routine appt Wednesday, but should get by IPS results then. Also broke out the maternity clothes this weekend... It gets earlier each time...
Rants/raves/questions......So my sinus infection finally cleared up... And I woke up the next morning with a scratchy throat and a new strain of cold.... My daughter has had both strep and a wicked gastrointestinal bug in the last ten days, so fingers crossed I don't get anything else...
Pregnancy related confessions... Embarrassing moments galore...
I work in home health care and have had to routinely vomit in a baggie outside my car at one clients house, and am sure I was seen puking outside in the gutter at another.
My gas is horrendous. Last weekend my daughter's illness got progressively worse, and by noon Saturday she wouldn't swallow at all, by 2 am with no liquids going in including anything for her fever, she was very feverish and lethargic so I took her into emerg. .. She was miserable and sat curled up on my lap in the waiting soon until I farted at which point she scrambled off my lap and dissolved into a shreiking puddle on the floor two feet away shouting " ewww mommy I don't like that smell you made I don't like that smell you made. ...".I wanted to fall through the floor...
The weekly pregnancy updates for 16 weeks say that I'm supposed to be getting that pregnancy glow that everyone talks about. Also, I'm supposed to be feeling fabulous and energetic and want to go on a babymoon. Nope! Carrie gets a cold and a bleeding hemorrhoid. ...And round ligament pain, I think. Either that or my left ovary is inflamed or something. I'll ask the doctor about that tomorrow.
@bgf1, omg I can't even imagine getting a cold right after a sinus infection. And the threat of strep and a GI bug. Oy. Perhaps after my daughter is born, I'll cover her bedroom doorway with clear plastic when she's sick and quarantine her. Is that bad parenting? I'd slip meals and medicine under it, of course. I wonder if I could get my hands on a hazmat suit...

How are you feeling? Same old- tired, sore boobs, etc. glad to have symptoms though!
Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?) Was supposed to have my cell free DNA test last Wednesday but because insurance required a pre authorization, the doc couldn't do it. Guess I'll have to find out the gender the old fashioned way!
Rants/Raves/Questions - I hate insurance! I called ahead of my appointment and they said the materniT21 test was covered and I didn't need to do anything else! Grrrrr

How far along are you? 24 weeks even
How are you feeling? I feel good. I've been getting much more consistent and strong kicks the past few days, which makes me happy because it gives me peace of mind knowing that little guy is alive in there. 2nd tri has been a bit of a mindtrip because I go for days or weeks with no symptoms other than an expanding waistline.
Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?) It's been over a month since my last appointment. I had one last week that I had to reschedule because of my vacation, and now my OB is on vacation this week. So I have an appointment next week.
Rants/Raves/Questions Just an AW: I'm so thrilled that I was able to hike all week last week during our little babymoon in Big Bend National Park. I did 10+ miles nearly every day. We did one hike that was 15 miles and 3000 ft of elevation gain and I survived with little more than a few BH contractions and a purple toenail.
GTKY: Speaking of junk food, I ate a cheeseburger and fries or pizza or Texas BBQ with ice cream for dessert every single day last week. I actually got home with an insatiable craving for vegetables. I ate salad for breakfast today. Otherwise I have all the delightful bodily fluid stories as the rest of you. Sometimes I think my nose and my vagina are in a direct competition over who can produce the larger volume of fluid in a given hour.
@jilligan14 Where are you going? I also want to know where you get maternity hiking pants! I (amazingly) still fit into two pairs of non-maternity hiking pants I own so I've been wearing those. I saw another pregnant hiker during my trip last week and I totally wanted to ask her where she got her pants because she looked further along than me and there is no way she was wearing regular pants, but I didn't want to be that creepy random stranger asking her questions (especially because I'm not that obviously pregnant myself right now).
@Piperella I just want to give you a giant internet hug after reading your post from last week. I'm glad you're feeling a bit better and I'm wishing you nothing but the best for your follow-up appointments.
@createillumination Your pee tips are great! I've noticed that my bladder control is way better the less I let myself go. Because let's be honest, when you're pregnant you ALWAYS feel like you need to pee. It doesn't help that my baby has taken to using my bladder as a punching bag every moment he's awake (I think he's currently breech - kicks are ALL down low). Despite this I don't actually think I've been peeing more frequently than I did before I was pregnant. I've also trained myself to NOT get up in the middle of the night to pee, which was hard but it has definitely improved my sleep quality.
@CarrieandRoy Feel better! And don't worry, you have plenty of time for a second trimester energy boost and babymoon. We just took one at 23-24 weeks. I totally recommend it! As for the pregnancy "glow", I've certainly not been gifted with that yet, and I'm doubtful that I ever will...

How far along are you? 30 weeks today
How are you feeling? I feel great, some days I don't even feel pregnant others I feel large and in charge. Heartburn is pretty constant and this little guy is now causing me to regurgitate my food. F.U.N. If I eat more than a little at a time its not pretty.
Any baby news (tests results/scans/upcoming appointments?) 3D/4D sonogram along with my 30 week appt today. Excited because I'm taking my mom who has never seen a 3D sonogram and my MIL who has never seen a sonogram at all.

GTKY: Let's hear some pregnancy related confessions! The more embarrassing the better, because let's face it pregnancy makes us do strange things. I think you ladies nailed most of them but I will say my libido, like my appetite, is through the roof. 1st and 2nd trimester not so much but I can't seem to have enough sex these days. DH is pretty damn happy lately. It helps he's not as nervous as he was when I was pregnant with DS#1.
@BernieRae and @redheadbride15 - I was shopping at a consignment store so they had a mixed range of items. The pants aren't really official hiking pants, they are the khaki type pants (that can snap up into capri length) that I find comfortable for hiking in. They are the Motherhood Maternity brand and have the full band waist, although at this stage I don't need to fully belly support so I'm just rolling that part down. They are pretty comfy and I like that I'll be able to convert them to capris once the weather turns nicer.
@CarrieandRoy I keep waiting for the 2nd trimester energy boost to happen but it seems to be going in the opposite direction. I haven't taken this many naps since I was like 3-years-old!

@createillumination Thank you for the tips! I have to say I am one of those who is guilty of peeing "just because." I used to have a job where I would sometimes have to hold it for hours due to driving long distances, no bathroom, and patient needs, so I've been abusing the luxury of having a toilet available since I'm home all the time.

RE says the low egg count is likely causing my recurrent pregnancy loss. Less eggs results in more aneuploidy.
