So, as some of you may recall, I had a little bleeding/spotting a couple weeks ago when I was a little over 10 weeks. The ER doc gave me misinformation and freaked me out into thinking a miscarriage was likely. The spotting stopped within a day and I followed up with the OB a couple days later. An u/s showed a perfect LO with strong heartbeat. Doc couldn't tell the cause of the bleeding.
Fast forward to yesterday morning, 12 weeks pregnant and preparing for a 4-hour deposition for work and I started spotting pink again(could the timing be any crappier?). Tiniest bit of pressure/cramping, but not bad. I made it through the deposition, went home (spotting brown by now) and called the doc. She said she's reassured by the good recent u/s and thinks it's probably just one of those things. I've been resting ever since and still have the slightest bit of brown spotting.
I have an appt with the geneticist today to do the blood draw for the harmony test and hopefully they can do my NT scan today to reassure me baby is doing well. I am just so ready for this pregnancy to be uneventful. Every time I let my guard down and start to think things are going well, I have a new scare. I know I'm not alone and that some of you have also had your bumps in the road on the way to your thb. Just needed to share my feelings and hope you'll send positive thoughts my way!
Re: More bumps in the road; ready for things to get boring with this pregnancy
We did facetime with DP's parents right after the scan to share the news. They were over the moon. DP's mom who pretty much talks non-stop was teary and speechless. It was a great moment!
I'm still spotting a tiny bit, but I'm trying to not let it stress me out since I know all is well. I can already tell that this LO is going to give me hell when s/he makes its entrance in the world!
And, yes! If this roller coaster of your early pregnancy is any indication, this little person is definitely going to keep your life interesting!
