My DS3 is like that. We just put him in thin pjs and he's got 2 blankets on his bed. A comforter and a thin fleece so he can use the one he's more comfortable snuggling. He almost always kicks the comforter off his bed and ends up sleeping on top of his fleece blanket.Switching to pjs that weren't fleece or flannel and that didn't have feet helped some with the sweating.
Does your son also snore (not a sweet soft snore but a "man snore" as I called it)? My son snored like crazy and was a super sweaty sleeper turned out he was experiencing sleep apnea and had to have his tonsils and adnoids removed. Now he does not snore at all and is never sweaty when he sleeps. Not trying to freak you out at all just wanted to share why my son was a sweaty sleeper, if he's just sweaty with out any other problems then I'm sure he's fine

Great perspective that I never even would have thought of
