EBF to Bottle Vent!

I have read and searched the other posts similar to this, I just want to complain. My son will be 6 weeks on Saturday. I've been EBF since he was born but last week started trying to introduce the bottle for a couple of reasons. One, I go back to work on the 29th. Two, I would really, really love a break now and then. I have a 2 year old daughter that I'd like to play with more instead of being tied to the couch, and I'd like to get out of the house without the baby for more than a couple of hours at a time and maybe have a drink! The issue is that sometimes he will refuse the bottle altogether (doesn't matter who is giving it to him, if I'm out of the house, etc.), and won't eat until I get home. This makes me nervous for going back to work. When he does take the bottle he'll only drink about one ounce, 2 at most, and he'll be super fussy about it the whole time. I've tried several bottles, nipples, different nipple levels, temperatures or milk, all of that stuff that's always suggested... We've found a bottle and nipple that seems to work the best, but it still is hit or miss and fussy feed. I know he eats more than 1-2 oz when I breastfeed him because he'll go 2-3 hours until the next feed, whereas with the bottle and his fussy feeding he'll be hungry again an hour later. I need to be able rely on the bottle sometimes without worrying if he'll refuse to eat and freak out all day while I'm at work. Has anyone else had this happen and your lo just figured it out eventually? I guess I just needed to vent my worries. Thanks!

Have you tried paced feeding with the bottle? There's lots of info out there about how to do it.
