NIPT vs. NT screenings

okay so I feel stupid for not knowing this, but my doctor hasn't gone into any specifics about the genetic screening I am getting tomorrow. With my last pregnancy I got the NT test but at that time I was just past the 12 week mark... This time I will be just 10 wks and 4 days. I'm assuming that this means I will be getting the NIPT screening tomorrow. My doctor didn't discuss any options because I have to get the screening results back before my surgery scheduled two weeks from now, but I was hoping someone can shed some light on the actual differences of these tests???
