Went in for my 40 week check up at 9:30am and Doctor noticed that I had no amnioc fluid. After hooking me up to the fetal monitor for 15 min noticed baby breathing was very shallow. Told me that she wanted to induce me, she received a second opinion from another doctor in the practice before making the final decision. I headed to the hospital for induction at 12:00pm. Once I was admitted and hooked up to iv and penicillin the doctors monitored me for a few hours. Around 4:00pm doctors came in I was only 2 cm dilated, they inserted a balloon catheter along with cytotec. Every four hours I was to recieve more penicillin and cytotec. At 8:00pm they came to check and see I how far along I was, and give more cytotec, once they gave me the cytotec the babies heart rate dropped for 5 min, I was given a decatheter and oxygen. Babies heart rate continued to drop after every contraction. Doctor decided to do a csection, at 10:50 baby boy Ebisan Okorodudu was born. Wisked off to the NICU he was not crying when he came out he was sleeping. He was not breathing properly so they hooked him up to an IV and gave him antibiotics for infections. Baby boy is still currently in NICU but breathing stronger.
