I just finished my first round of Letrozole this cycle. I start OPKs tomorrow morning and will call the RE office as soon as I get a positive one so I can schedule my Progesterone lab. Other than that, there's not much to report. My FW starts tomorrow and I'm excited to get this cycle started!! I was dreading making an RE appointment but I'm so glad I did. I'm so glad to be receiving tx and hopefully have a positive outcome.
**Question for those who have done Letrozole/Femara + TI** Did you have to go in for a mid-cycle u/s or did you just have labs done to make sure you ovulate? I know a lot of women go in around CD12 for an u/s, however my RE does not have me coming in for one. I wasn't sure if it was maybe because we're only doing TI and not a trigger or IUI or if it's just the way my RE does things...does this sound wrong? Should I question not getting a u/s before I O?

Hello all, I am from the infertility board and would like to join this group !
~ I have been through 1 cycle of IUI clomid days 5-9 + trigger but ended up as BFN. I have my baseline ultrasound for IUI#2 tomorrow and meds could change or dosages will depending on what RE will suggest. I responded sloooooow to clomid but I did respond thankfully. We will be doing a total of 3 IUIs before moving on to IVF (hopefully not needed of course!)

@GoldenKeys can you take me off the BFP hall of fame as I had a loss?
Hi all, I did a re-intro on the board but haven't joined this thread again yet. I have gotten confirmation of O by temping, so I'm 4 DPO now and we successfully avoided this cycle. We were benched for only one cycle, and my doctor said we could start TTC again after one cycle off.
1. How long have you been TTC? 21 months. We have had two losses, one just under 6 weeks and the most recent one at 12+1 (baby died at 8 weeks).
2. What is your diagnosis? Unknown, starting testing
3. What is your current treatment plan? Acupuncture, Chinese medicine food therapy and just starting testing with a naturopath doctor. Our consult appointment is next Thursday.
Nervous for our appointment next week, but looking forward to getting some answers (hopefully). Apprehensive about TTC again but it took us 15 months last time so I don't want to wait if it is going to take that long again.
GTKY: I don't eat very many good sandwiches anymore since I was diagnosed with celiac disease 6 years ago...gluten free bread just falls apart so good sandwiches are few and far between!
me 30; DH 35 TTC since May 2014. Aug 2014 BFP, EDD April 22, 2015. Low progesterone, started suppositories. Loss at 5w6d. Nov 19, 2015 BFP at 13 dpo, EDD July 29, 2016. MMC discovered 12/29 (9+4). Natural miscarriage 1/16 (12+1). AMH results 0.42, 1.2; FSH 12.1, AFC 10, dx DOR. RPL testing results normal. Nurse recommended progesterone suppositories in TWW. Clomid + trigger + TI cycle August 2016 - failed. Thin lining. Femara + trigger + TI cycle December 2016 - failed. Thin lining. Short LP (8 days). Acupuncture & Chinese herbs starting January 2017, lengthened LP to 10 days
I didnt end up Oing from Femara. Going to the RE tomorrow to discuss our next plan of attack. She mentioned monitored cycles now. I hit a low point this past week but I think after tomorrow I will be better having a new course of action.

2. What is your diagnosis? PCOS
3. What is your current treatment plan? Right now we're treating my elevated prolactin and TSH for 4 weeks - more bloodwork - adjust. Once that is under control we're doing Femara + IUI for 1-2 cycles, then moving to injectables.

Hey all, sorry it's been awhile since I've checked in; life has gotten kinda crazy. Since starting the Metformin I've lost about 15 pounds and had one complete cycle on my own (O & AF). Unfortunately we didn't get KU but my body doing what it is supposed to do was good news. Still having long cycles though. Had an updated appt with my OB and she wants me to consider Clomid. I'll be having an HSG first next cycle if we're not KU yet. I requested a copy of DH's SA from my OB who reported that it was normal - most #s look great but morphology is only 1%. I'm calling to make an appt with an RE to see if they would agree with the current plan my OB has laid out.
So sorry for your loss @AL_TwinCities! I'm sorry you have to be back here

He's keeping me on follistim for 2 more nights and adding in ganirelix starting tonight so I don't ovulate early. Going back on Thursday for another ultrasound.
And because I forgot to answer the QOTW: this is really hard but I love an Italian trio!

Hello all! I'm not sure if I should be posting over here or not, as the trouble I've run into TTC has been a bit different than the "regular TTC trouble"... Whatever that means lol. I don't want to be disrespectful by posting in the incorrect place , so please let me know if I'm "borrowing trouble" by putting myself in the trouble TTC category.
We decided to get serious about starting our family on thanksgiving 2014. We had been ntnp before, after we got married in may 2014 DX: hypothyroidism, hashimotos and thyroid cancer and now medically induced hyperthyroidism (tsh .15), very large ovarian cyst Tx: thyroidectomy, synthroid and close monitoring for ideal t4 for ttc, cutting gluten to help put hashimotos in remission. Ovarian cystectomy.
Since being officially cancer free I'm really struggling with being kept hyperthyroid (they keep me this way to keep cancer less likely to come back). I feel like this is keeping me from getting pregnant but endo says my t4 looks good and she doesn't want to encourage cancer cells with raising my tsh. I'm starting to have thoughts such as 'I'll take the cancer and fight it later, just give me the baby'
Im only on cycle 3 of being "healthy"/thyroid meds and cyst taken care of. my obgyn will not refer me to an RE until its been a year that my thyroid and cyst has been corrected. She says that since I can't take fertility drugs BC of the cancer, I should not be rushing to an re anyway, which makes mW feel pretty hopeless.
Anyway, I think I swung by when I first got DX but haven't been active (I've been more on ttc board). So I thought I should give a little re intro. Nice to meet you all and I'm sorry that we are all here.
Married May 2014 TTC Nov 2014-Aug 2016 Aug 2015 Dx: Thyroid Cancer and Hashimotos Total Thyroidectomy October 2015 Ovarian Cystectomy Nov 2015 CANCER FREE and resumed TTC Dec 2015.
Update: Saw my new doctor yesterday. the first was a little judgy because we are TTC and not married (can't get married until after FI gets approved for a mortgage because I have student loans) so I'm on my 2nd new doctor.
new doctor took a bunch of blood and will call me in a few days with the results. Advised me to find a weight loss plan but focus on eating heathy and being active not so much on the numbers on the scale, and wants me on folic acid for 3 months before we move further in the process. I had already been taking a prenatal vitamin for over a month to get my hair to grow so in April provided nothing is off on my blood work I will be starting provera/clomid in 9 weeks at my next appointment.
As for favorite sandwhich: grilled cheese with pickles and tomatoes
Update: had baseline ultrasound CD3 today everything looks good..follow up follicle scan next thursday 2/18 hope all goes well and there is nice growth
Last shot at TI with stimulation, then IUI. Good follicular report today, one is 19 mm. Endometrial thickness is low though. FW from tomorrow...fingers crossed!
Married for 4 years, TTC for 1.5 years Unexplained infertility
History: Hypothyroid, under control Low ovarian reserve 2 IUIs IVF #1 no luck IVF #2 ongoing
I hope everyone is good! I will be calling my RE Dr tomorrow to see if i can find out what my options are for getting pregnant again and for managing my PCOS. I'm nervous... i don't really know why...but i am..
Hello ladies. I'm back. 3 failed rounds of clomid and 1 unmedicated cycle later. Currently cd 13 and waiting to o. Got bad news about dh SA so we are patiently waiting for some things to settle down before we take the next step, likely iui. I'm still using opks and timing bd just in case but I've pretty much given up on temping, it's just not doing anything at this point QOTW: I like Reubens and any thing that combines turkey/bacon/swiss cheese. Best combo ever.
Well I finally tested and got a BFP! Thank you all so much for helping me through this journey! It was so nice reading your stories and knowing I was not alone. I will continue to see how you are all are doing. Baby dust!
2. What is your diagnosis? I have ovulatory dysfunction uterine bleeding. Basically, I O regularly but from O until AF arrives I have bleeding every day. The past 2 cycles I've also had random days of bleeding before O. The bleeding is too heavy for a panty liner to be sufficient, but not enough to fill a pad. My ultrasound, HSG, 7DPO progesterone, and all other tests are normal so my doctors can't figure out why I'm bleeding. DH has MFI morphology.
3. What is your current treatment plan? We were referred to the RE in November. They had a 3 month waiting list. First appointment is one week from today.

We decided to get serious about starting our family on thanksgiving 2014. We had been ntnp before, after we got married in may 2014
DX: hypothyroidism, hashimotos and thyroid cancer and now medically induced hyperthyroidism (tsh .15), very large ovarian cyst
Tx: thyroidectomy, synthroid and close monitoring for ideal t4 for ttc, cutting gluten to help put hashimotos in remission.
Nice to meet you all and I'm sorry that we are all here.

new doctor took a bunch of blood and will call me in a few days with the results.

2 Clomid IUI's + 4 injectable IUI's= 5 BFNs and 1 mc
QOTW: I like Reubens and any thing that combines turkey/bacon/swiss cheese. Best combo ever.
1. How long have you been TTC? 13 cycles
Welcome all the newbies!! And Congrats to the BFPs!! Hoping to see more this month
