Weekend Plans?

What's everyone up to this weekend?

I'm heading up north to have a lunch with my mom, sister, MIL, SIL and aunt to hash out details of the baby shower. DH and I are going to meet up with some friends to watch the Super bowl tomorrow. Otherwise it's time to relax and be lazy!

I'm currently drinking my coffee & watching Fixer Upper before I head out for some errands...Target has buy 2 economy plus packs of diapers & get a free $30 gift card!  Dinner at the in-laws tonight then tomorrow I have to work for a few hours...drug testing clients at their Superbowl party.  Pretty uneventful weekend.

Lazzzyyy weekend. Went to the gym this morning. Plan on running a vacuum at some point. And that's it. Catching up on our shows, and have my feet up resting. Exactly how I pictured spending this weekend!

Last night, DH and I went to Hard Rock Cafe for a Battle of the Bands show since a local band we like was playing. It was fantastic, but now I'm sufficiently exhausted and just want toddler cuddles all day. The house is a wreck though, so most of the weekend will be spent alternating between playing amd cleaning. I had my glucose test and iron draw this morning, and we'll head to the grocery store at some point too.

We just got back from buying paint so we will be painting the nursery! And napping, of course.

We were going to go walking/hiking at the park by our house today, but it's a really crappy rainy day outside so that was postponed. Got up late, had some breakfast/brunch, now I'm watching stuff on Netflix and doing some laundry while DH is in the office doing music stuff and building the website for his new business. Currently waiting on MIL to show up... She's in the area right now and she has to drop something off here. I'm in the process of falling asleep again while waiting.

Tomorrow hopefully we will get to go on our walk early, go to Hobby Lobby and Home Depot, get some snacks, and then just chill the rest of the day. I plan on starting the baby blanket for Clara tomorrow so we'll see how that goes...

DH is at the office today and leaving for a trip tomorrow so I bought all of the organizing stuff I could carry from the Container Store. I can't wait to organize while DS sleeps! Not the most exciting weekend, but I have an intense need to purge and organize. Maybe then I'll be able to find some space in this apartment for another tiny human.

It's already Saturday evening for us and we are about to go to bed! But, we went out today and bought a lot of baby stuff, had lunch and binged on Orange is the new Black.

Tomorrow we are not leaving the house. Will be cuddles, series and food! Our type of Sunday!

Here are the things I would like most:
Sushi (cooked), a nap or two, long warm shower, to sit around and read or watch Its Always Sunny, write in the baby belly book.  Nap again. 

Here is my reality:
Try really hard to finish the baby room completely while taking care of my toddler.  This will take all weekend.  It has already taken weeks, if not months?  I am making progress but at a snails pace.  Most of it at the early hours in the morning after my toddler is fully asleep. 

As for the superbowl party, it is over 45 minutes away (our friends just moved) and I don't want to spend up to an hour and a half + on the road tomorrow, but the food coma spread of foods for these types of events is very tempting!

I just spent the day walking around and shopping. Trying to get ready for Valentine's Day and always picking up stuff for my baby boy. Right now I'm laying by the pool with the intent to read. Tonight we're having dinner with friends. My fiancé is working during the day tomorrow. I'll probably go to church, nap, and prepare for my crazy Monday at work.

Ugh. Yes. I just realized this after I posted. We do have a Michaels and Joanns kinda near us too but Hobby Lobby is a lot closer... At least I can make the argument to DH that the Joanns is right next to a Home Depot and he won't mind the extra trip time.

Today we took our dog, Molly, to the dog park. Now I'm going to work on my dissertation for a few hours. Tomorrow we'll probably go back to the dog park and then DH will watch the superbowl while I work on the taxes (lucky me!) Between all this we want to start talking about paint colors for the nursery and several other rooms in the house that need painting. Oh and I want to watch the puppy bowl!

We had a date night last night (me and DD), today me and DD went to Sam's and bought food for our cookout tomorrow. After all this running around I intend to stay off my feet tomorrow. DH said he would do all the cooking so I'm happy to just eat.

DH and I went into the city to get some last minute things he needed for his trip to LA and had a really yummy lunch on the lower east side. We came home and did some cleaning/laundry and now we're off to the grocery store to get provisions for my week alone. After that we are going to chill and watch a movie. Tomorrow he leaves at 9am and I plan on spending most of the day with my feet up.

Decided I was tired of sitting around today so I went out to Target to walk around a little bit. Of course could not stay away from the baby clothes and got Clara a new outfit which unless I get anything cuter at the shower I plan on using for her 'take home' outfit. Looked at the rug I want for her room... Of course the size I want is only online, but at least I could confirm it will work in terms of softness/color. Got anniversary/valentines/birthday stuff for DH. And to compensate for the hour of walking some ice cream for me. 

Now I think I want to skip my previous walking plans for tomorrow.
