@alicedavid2013 I have had 2 losses around 6 weeks and we just NTNP after the bleeding stopped before the first period both times. Did you have a natural MC? I did & the RE put me right back on the horse as soon as I had AF after the last one. I did have a natural MC. Honestly, it was just like a normal period, except that it was 10 days late, and I had +HPTs. I am not temping yet. I just couldn't accept that I had to start all over, so I'm allowing myself to see what happens this cycle, and then next cycle start temping again. I have been using OPK's, and CB Fertility monitor. I got a "Peak" reading today, and we'll see this afternoon if my OPK turns positive. I'm on CD 14, if I count the first day of MC bleeding as CD 1. I won't know for sure if I O'd because I'm not temping, but so far it's like a completely normal cycle... Like nothing ever happened. Ugh.
I know the main reason they tell you to wait is because of dating the pregnancy, which I get. Except... many, MANY women have "irregular" cycles and get KTFU. Their dating system assumes a 28-day cycle, so what about all those other women who don't ovulate until later in their cycle? I just feel like dating issues are so, so common, and it's not a strong enough reason for me to feel like I need to wait. But you're right. I know they will side-eye me so hard if it happens.

GTKU: What is your favorite movie and why? The Never ending Story, I loved it as a child and watched it over and over.
R/R/CS: Going to buy a sperm-friendly lubricant, I think. Maybe it's because I'm a little anxious about TTC, but I have felt a lot of natural lubrication going on down there this cycle, even with EPO! Blah. This is the first cycle I've taken EPO, so maybe (hopefully!) it will kick in soon and help me get more EWCM than usual. Also, I need to find a way to break it kindly to DH that oral stimulation isn't going to be the best idea at this point in the cycle...
GTKU: What is your favorite movie and why? No spoilers I was exactly the perfect age to love each Harry Potter book when it came out, and so I love the movies as well even though they're not as good as the books. So I'm going to say HP movies 7-8.
R/R/CS: Ok guys. It's my first month charting and it's the ugliest chart ever! My temps are just all over the place. Any ideas or suggestions? No spoilers All the Jane Austen books turned movies. I could watch them over and over again (when my husband is out of town).
WAYDTGKTFU: Anything we can. Taking vitamins, checking cm, going to start temping this week.
R/R/CS: Starting to go a little crazy finally. DH saw me looking at fertility microscopes and was completely confused. Mother in Law just went to her friend's daughters (20yr old) baby shower so I got a ton of fb posts with MIL and babies tagging me... Worst part is I've worked 40+ hours a weeks my whole life and DH and I have agreed I can quit workings when we finally pull it off. So somehow I'm mad because I'm working too lol. Haven't really told everyone we're trying so all of the dropped hints about grandchildren are starting to get me down.
GTKU: Hmm fav movie really depends on my mood... I can always do Harry Potter, the first movie when he finds out about the wizard world is amazing. Anything fantasty! I also love 90's action/comedies like Demolition Man, they make me feel better

*****QUESTION*****
I was lurking in TWW yesterday and I saw that someone was talking about Advanced vs. FAM in FF. They mentioned that Advanced had been wonky since an update to the algorithm, and that FAM is currently the best method to use in FF. I played around with the methods a little bit and got some really different interpretations (specifically, FAM says that I was anovulatory both cycles so far, which wouldn't shock me). I am not a math-y type and I don't really understand how this type of data is best interpreted, but I was wondering if any of you had any insight to share on how FF works or why various methods might be better than others.
GTKU: What is your favorite movie and why? I have a running joke with my students that my favorite movie is "Mean Girls." They say that I'm basically Regina George.
WAYDTGKTFU: Just temping, sex whenever we feel like it
R/R/CS: My temps have been nonsense so far this cycle, likely because DD has decided to start her 8 month sleep regession at 7 months, and wake up for middle of the night feeds again...so i rarely have a solid enough stretch of sleep to temp after. Hopefully this won't last long...since i'm still breastfeeding it's also possible i won't O until i go back to not nursing/pumping for a 10-12 hour overnight stretch.
GTKU: What is your favorite movie and why? No spoilers
There are many but #1 is always Anchorman, which makes me LOL even though I've seen it thousand times.
@schwee25 This doesn't matter too much, but the standard is that if your period arrives in the evening (like after 5 PM), then you actually count the next day as CD 1, which would put you at 1 instead of 2.
@LINDSEYRVA I hope someone has a good answer for that! I've been wondering the same thing...I can't even see where I can switch it from advanced to FAM. I'm obviously new here.
@LINDSEYRVA I just switched my last chart to FAM and, lo and behold, it gives me the O date I considered my "alternative" date from last cycle. This would mean I'm only 7 or so DPO now (what I called CD 1 could have been spotting). Gah. Who the heck knows.
My understanding is that FAM focuses just or mostly on temp while Advanced takes CM, CP, and other signs into account and learns your patterns. Since I can never find CM, maybe FAM would work better for me, too.
@Kate08Young I just use rubbing alcohol to clean it.
@LINDSEYRV I just recently switched from advanced to FAM. I can't explain it all. I started playing around with it because I disagreed with all 3 of my temping cycles. It also seemed to detect O 2 days or so before I would. And one time 2 weeks before. Advanced seems to consider dips as well as weighs heavily on cm data. FAM seems to weigh em heavily on temps. Specifically the 3 sustained higher than the previous 6. That's my understanding of it at least.

@LINDSEYRVA I hope someone has a good answer for that! I've been wondering the same thing...I can't even see where I can switch it from advanced to FAM. I'm obviously new here.
I just looked. On the webpage, if you scroll down past your chart it says Ovulation Detector. In that box it tells you what method is used. If you click on the tuning/override button you can change what method is used.
@LINDSEYRVA I just messed with my chart last cycle. FAM had my O on CD 16, which would have given me a ~50 day LP. So, for me personally, I'll stick with Advanced.

R/R/CS: I was all geared up for O this weekend after I got a peak reading with my CBAD OPK on Friday, but no temp spike to back that up so far. Lots of EWCM through yesterday so I'm thinking I've got to be close, and I'm not entirely trusting of my BBT, but we'll see what temps the next few days bring. I'm so cynical of everything right now that I'm kind of in "who the hell knows lets just HIO if fertility is plausible" mode.

Such a fun convo to have over and over again (especially when someone follows up with, "Oh was it because you were working too much?" FML, really?! You're a nurse! Thanks for making me feel like shit).
I had to spill the beans to get my assignment changed one day because my patient had to go for a test that involved me accompanying her for a bunch of X-rays, which obviously was not going to work. So two people had confirmation, and others knew that I'd come back up from the test and switched with another nurse so somehow that's now spread around the unit...

R/R/CS: *****QUESTION*********
if you temp vaginally, do you use probe covers, or just clean it really good?
GTKU: What is your favorite movie and why? No spoilers
I ADORE movies. I have a case that has over 800 DVDs in it, not counting Special Effects/Disc 2s.
My go to is Secretariat. I bawl through the entire movie. Something about being able to do what you were made to, loving it, and succeeding just rips a huge hole in my heart each time.
Hobbit Trilogy is a close 2nd. I love me some singing dwarves.

Month/Cycle: 3/3
CD: 8
WAYDTGKTFU: PNV, BBT, CM, CP, will OPK
R/R/CS: @anj27 My brand new Mabis gave me the same temp as yesterday too. Fluke I guess? Nothing much to R/R/CS, I have long cycles, so O doesn't happen for a few more weeks. I'm hoping to go long though, as my Husband will be out of town for a week starting the 9th (CD 15-22).
GTKU: What is your favorite movie and why? The Never ending Story, I loved it as a child and watched it over and over.
CD: 11
WAYDTGKTFU: PNV, EPO, OPK, EOD
R/R/CS: Going to buy a sperm-friendly lubricant, I think. Maybe it's because I'm a little anxious about TTC, but I have felt a lot of natural lubrication going on down there this cycle, even with EPO! Blah. This is the first cycle I've taken EPO, so maybe (hopefully!) it will kick in soon and help me get more EWCM than usual. Also, I need to find a way to break it kindly to DH that oral stimulation isn't going to be the best idea at this point in the cycle...
GTKU: What is your favorite movie and why? No spoilers
I was exactly the perfect age to love each Harry Potter book when it came out, and so I love the movies as well even though they're not as good as the books. So I'm going to say HP movies 7-8.
Edited because grammar.
Month/Cycle: 4/3
CD: 15
WAYDTGKTFU: Errrything.
R/R/CS: Ok guys. It's my first month charting and it's the ugliest chart ever! My temps are just all over the place.
Any ideas or suggestions? I'm waking up at 5am to temp and going back to sleep...I'm thinking maybe some nights I'm mouth breathing? Ugh.
GTKU: What is your favorite movie and why? No spoilers
All the Jane Austen books turned movies. I could watch them over and over again (when my husband is out of town).
CD: 4
My Personal, Frequently Changing Gif Party>>>
Month/Cycle: 3/3
CD: 5
WAYDTGKTFU: PNV, OPK, charting, HIO starting tonight
R/R/CS: Last little bit of spotting seems to have ended, so we're gonna get this train moving ASAP. We had such a sweet little conversation last night about how weird this process can be. My husband is just the sweetest and I can't wait to see what a great dad he's going to be.

Month/Cycle: 2 (NTNP)

CD: 4
My understanding is that FAM focuses just or mostly on temp while Advanced takes CM, CP, and other signs into account and learns your patterns. Since I can never find CM, maybe FAM would work better for me, too.

WAYDTGKTFU: waiting for AF to leave
R/R/CS: Snow day!! There's a blizzard and it's my day off! Going to get some things done around the house.
GTKU: What is your favorite movie and why?
Inception, Star Wars, PS I Love You, Lion King.
@LINDSEYRVA I just messed with my chart last cycle. FAM had my O on CD 16, which would have given me a ~50 day LP. So, for me personally, I'll stick with Advanced.

WAYDTGKTFU: everything
R/R/CS: I had been hopeful that this cycle was going to be shorter than my last based on positive OPKs, but based on CM, CP, and cramping, I think it's happening now instead of last week. I won't know for sure until I get my progesterone tests done next week. I was pretty bummed at first, but the timing is better now than last week, so I hope this ends up being a blessing. I am going to head to the TWW after today:)

R/R/CS: I got a pos OPK yesterday afternoon, then another one this morning with still more EWCM. I typically O on the day after my first positive, so I am hoping today is O day!
GTKU: What is your favorite movie and why? Either Les Miserables (2012) or Scary Movie 3. I can watch either one a million times and each time it feels like the first time. lol
BFP on 7/2/2013

R/R/CS: Just hoping to move on from this cycle at some point...kind of given up on this one. I wanted to temp - but the last couple of weeks being sick and having sick kids have meant that hasn't happened...will make a MUCH greater effort next cycle (if I ever get there!)
GTKU: What is your favorite movie and why? No spoilers
@alicedavid2013 thank you, me too!
@Lecool and, @mrsdee15 thank you both! I'm glad too. I was worried they wouldn't.
@Kate08Young, I hope so too... unfortunately, his history makes me worry otherwise. It would be great if all of this was for nothing though. (I mean, I would hate to worry, but glad not to have to repeat things that happened years ago.)

WAYDTGKTFU: Temping, charting, EOD
R/R/CS: I tried Evening Primrose Oil last month (we weren't TTC last month, but I wanted to see if it would increase my CM), and it delayed ovulation by more than a week, and I think it may have contributed to a shorter than normal LP too. It was only 10 days, which is 2 days shorter than usual. It also didn't help with CM at all. I stopped taking it around CD 12 last month, so I'm hoping it won't affect this cycle at all.
GTKU: What is your favorite movie and why? No spoilers. I love Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Don't judge me!
Work is insane today; will try and reply to everyone later.
Month/Cycle: 6/6 (TTCAL)
CD: 19
WAYDTGKTFU: PNV, BBT, CM, OPKs, HIO EOD
R/R/CS: I was all geared up for O this weekend after I got a peak reading with my CBAD OPK on Friday, but no temp spike to back that up so far. Lots of EWCM through yesterday so I'm thinking I've got to be close, and I'm not entirely trusting of my BBT, but we'll see what temps the next few days bring. I'm so cynical of everything right now that I'm kind of in "who the hell knows lets just HIO if fertility is plausible" mode.
GTKU: What is your favorite movie and why? I love The Sound of Music, The Wizard of Oz, and the Princess Bride as classics. More recently Pitch Perfect and Mean Girls can always make me laugh. Slumdog Millionaire and Midnight in Paris are also two of my recent favorites. I realize that's like 7, but it was a struggle to get it down even to that few for me -- I have trouble picking favorites.

BFP #2 2/18/16
Hi everyone! I have been lurking for a while and I am going to be brave and join in. We have been ttc since Jan 15, but I had a mc with complications that put me out of trying from march-october. And now we are back at it! Looking forward to the support of the group.

WAYDTGKTFU: PNV, HIO, CM, trying patience but not my strong suit.
R/R/CS: I am worried that my H is having a busy/stressful week this week which I am hoping will not affect us getting good numbers during my FW.
GTKU: What is your favorite movie and why? No spoilers
I have too many to pick! Football season is almost done which we always watch Radio, Remember the Titans, The Replacements, The longest yard etc to fill the gap of what to do on Sunday night
CD: 6
WAYDTGKTFU: looks like it's AF's last day today. Yaassss!
R/R/CS: Took B6 at night last night and couldn't sleep. Didn't find much about it so maybe it's a coincidence. Won't be doing that again, though.
GTKU: What is your favorite movie and why?
I can never figure out my answer to this question. So I'll say it's tied between the Breakfast Club, Finding Nemo, Butterfly Effect and The Departed...
Dx: Both tubes blocked, PCOS, DOR, RPL
IVF Cycle #1 Dec. 2016 - 11R·11M·5F - Transferred 2 - BFP - Miscarriage - 0 Embryos Left

CD: 5
WAYDTGKTFU: EPO, increase my calcium back to 1300mg 3x/day, pnv, temping, charting, attempting CP/CM monitoring, SMEP, PreSeed (so almost everything?)
R/R/CS: No one can keep a secret at my work and so even though only a few people knew I was KU in the fall, I'm now starting to get questions about being pregnant.
GTKU: What is your favorite movie and why? No spoilers
Dirty Dancing! That's my go-to answer, but I love tons of movies....it's so hard to pick a favourite.
I hope you don't mind if I jump in! I've been lurking for a bit, but would love to join this supportive community as I'm starting to go a bit crazy!
A bit about me: I am 26 and my husband is 29...we are trying for our first!
WAYDTGKTFU: PNV, BBT, Preseed, Baby Aspirin, BD EOD, OPK
