Any other DIY Mommies?!

Started to work on our little boy's 0-3 month bandana bibs this week...

What crafty things are you up to in preparation for your little ones to arrive??

Any great projects/ideas that you'd like to share?

  • Ooooh, do you have a pattern/tutorial for that? I love the look of bandana bibs, but they're so expensive! I'd love to make a few for this little one. :)
    It's a boy! Born 42 weeks, 2 days.

  • I'm DIYing almost everything! Our nursery is Yosemite themed, so my mom made these cute curtains and I sewed little stuffed animals to hold them back. I forgot about one small thing...

  • I did almost everything in DS's room and now baby Wavy's room. I just finished repainting an old dresser and am starting on the curtains tomorrow. LOVE making bandana bibs! I have an etsy shop and just made a TON of headbands. So busy!

  • I'm doing more diy this time than any other (baby #5) mainly because I feel I've done the commercial stuff enough already ;)

  • Oh my god those bibs are awesome!! Great patterns! Baby clothes can be cute and all, but I really prefer more elegant and rustic patterns. Wish baby clothes came in cooler fabrics. You've so got the right idea! Those look great!

Thanks! I really like "plain" onesies, nothing with words or crazy colors.... But I looked for prints that his daddy would put on him and ones that I would choose too. Figured since I'm having a little boy I can still make him things to wear, although it'll be pretty limited!
  • Loving those prints!!! I feel like our nursery is a never ending project, but it's coming together & well worth the work! My mother in law and I have made the crib sheets, crib skirt, and changing pad covers. I've refurbished a 40 year old crib used in our family for about 8 babies (don't worry we made sure it's up to code with construction)! Also refurbishing a night stand thing and removing drawers to put in vintage chicken wire baskets instead. It's been fun, but I'm ready for it to be done!

Good job on those bibs, super cute!

  • Crocheted a blanket and some hats for baby. I love knowing it's something I made just for this baby.
