@murray1030 I did the same with EPO last month, took it for 4 days then realised it could delay O so stopped. My O wasnt delayed after the 4 days but my CM improved so no idea if it was related. @therealdavy Dont worry, I didnt ovulate in my first month off BCP pill either. You're body will just be figuring things out. Hopefully this month it will happen for you. Althought just read your reply about not temping so maybe you did O!! Even better. I would recommend MABIS thermometer and Fertility Friend to track.
@severmilli12 and @khbear my parents live outside gatlinburg on a hilltop (mountaintop)? And we love visiting the area. It is true (as someone said) that it can be like a myrtle beach type area with all the kitschy traps but there is also the whole other relaxing/ porch sitting/awesome hiking part and that's super fun to visit. We have visited a lot of the tourist traps as well as the more outdoorsy things. One tourist trap that is really fun are the hillside rollercoasters. You are in your own little car with brakes so you can slow down if you get scared.
@therealvday sorry you're feeling discouraged. I can't speak for everyone but I can tell you that most of us have been there. I've been there multiple times. Some months it's easier and some months it's harder. Just keep trying and try not to let yourself get too discouraged because it takes lots of us many months to get a BFP and that's still a variation of normal in most cases. Hang in there!

Hey y'all - i'm not going to do a whole AW re-intro post, i'd rather just start posting here again if that's cool. I was active on this board when TTC June - October 2014 and have been active on my BMB (June 2015) and various other boards ever since. I don't need special individualized hellos...I just want to jump on into the community again, provided that's not against protocol these days. :-)
Quick and dirty intro: 33 years old with a 7 month old DD; we're hoping for one more and want to start sooner rather than later due to age (and the fact that i'll technically be AMA in 16 months). We are planning to NTNP until June and then reassess, but are targeting full on trying starting sometime between June and September. My cycles before were a bit irregular...usually i ovulated day 19-22, however the month i got pregnant i ovulated day 31. Without temping i would have been VERY CONFUSED that cycle, so i am a major devotee of temping. I usually don't bother with OPKs or anything else - i figure if i have EOD sex, a simple confirmation of ovulation is all i need to know i have a shot. I am still breastfeeding, but my cycles returned at 6 months PP (basically about 4 weeks after i stopped nursing and/or pumping between 7pm and 5am my ute decided it was back in business).
Month/Cycle: cycle 2 (NTNP)
CD: 3
WAYDTGKTFU: I had great success with temping, monitoring CM, and EOD sex the first time around. Right now I've just gone back to temping, mostly to track when my period will start. The past two cycles brought at least 3 separate batches of fertile CM before i ovulated, so i don't even bother with that right now. Though we're technically NTNP this month, i may abstain around the 3-4 days that i think i will ovulate (won't know for certain until afterwards, obviously) because i'll be on vacation during what i think will be my TWW and i would like to drink without worrying about potentially being pregnant (i'm on team Drink Til It's Pink, but if i think i might be KU i don't know if i'd be comfortable with hard alcohol. Wine, yes. But vodka? I don't know).
R/R/CS: Waiting on AF to end. My first PP period was pretty much what i was normally used to (but without cramps) and this one also didn't involve cramps but has been heavier than is normal for me, so i don't know how long it will last. Really everything is a guessing game because of the breastfeeding. My temp shift was not as clear as it used to be back in the day either, but based on when my period started, i think FF was correct on my ovulation date.

R/R/CS: Haven't posted in a while after anovulatory cycle. Got test results back from Doc and I have two "simple" ovarian cysts. Apparently it's nothing to worry about, they should go away on their own but we will monitor. I eventually got my normal period so Doc isn't confused and says to continue with business as usual. Therefore, I'm still open for business this month and hoping like hell I O in the next couple days! EWCM yesterday and this morning and a positive OPK this morning so FX!

R/R/CS: I was really annoyed this morning. I was hoping for my temp to spike today as it would give me -5,-2 timing. I slept like crap, woke up well over an hour before my temp time, and stayed awake for an hour, then slept really lightly. I took 3 temps, I'm sure none of them are accurate. I'm bummed. I'm going to chart the next 3 days to confirm O but I think this month BBT chart is a bust. I don't want to see the fall and be depressed over impending AF so I think I'm going to stop after that and just resume after this coming AF. Better yet, hopefully I still o'ed yesterday and I just couldn't see it on my chart or today and my temp will be up tomorrow which isn't terrible timing -3. I did get almost positive OPK yesterday and today so who knows.

GTKY: I lost my job a year before our wedding, so money was tight. It was like a month before and I realized we weren't going on a honeymoon! I complained about it on facebook (vented really, but I'm always whining.) And my dad stepped up. He got us a hotel room down town for 4 days. Not what I had dreamed of, but it was an amazing time! I got to explore my city with my new husband and the room came with champagne and chocolate covered strawberries. We had a lot of fun, and I remember it fondly. One of these anniversaries we want to go on a cruise.

@atcwag You can move to TWW whenever you feel comfortable. Typically I move to the TWW when I am pretty confident that I have ovulated, regardless of my timing. It might be more appropriate for you to stick around WTO until you are more sure you have ovulated, but it's totally up to you and where you see yourself in your cycle.
@businesswife Is your usual time to temp 5:30? If it is I would stick to that one since it would be more accurate. Solely based on personal experience, a .5 temp fluctuation is possible with a 2 hr time difference and also without a 3 hr block of sleep. When you are awake and temp later in the day, your temp rises, so I would stick to the earlier temp. If you really did ovulate, it will probably be clear to you tomorrow. CM changes not only daily, but throughout the day. I know the SS struggle is so real even in WTO (trust me, I do it all the time!), but stick to what we know works and you will keep yourself from going crazy over analyzing every sensation

I feel badly starting the thread then running; I didn't realize the time and was going to be late for work. Sorry! sldp123 yes it was I who had horrible side effects from EPO. I bought the Walmart brand and it came in 1000mg and said to take 3 a day. I took the first dose around 6pm. By 8pm I was horribly sick.

R/R/CS: We hired an additional person for our department today. My boss called me into a conference room to talk mostly about her position (she's getting some of my work while I get someone else's). She also wanted to know how I was doing (she knows about my MC and there has been a lot of baby talk with my other boss having his baby Friday and my coworker KU). That really impressed me!

@khbear I am not sure about during the TWW. I avoid it in general because I was reading about how women with a significant family history of breast cancer should avoid it. (I read this two years ago, so I forget why...maybe something simulates estrogen? Whatever it is, the ingredient that causes your uterus to grow stronger also can increase risk of breast cancer for those already at higher risk.)
Thanks for the sympathy for my SIL. I am just so far away from her, and it is breaking my heart not be be able to support her more practically. The news from her doc is that she can start trying again in 2 months--an eternity when you have already been trying and have experienced more than one loss.

I start with the OPKs around CD 12 and usually O on CD 15. It's starts as a pretty faint line on CD 12 and gets progressively darker each day until the test line is darker than the control line which usually happens for me the day before O. I use the FR OPKs instead of wondfos but I have a picture of the progression so that I can go back and reference each cycle. If you want to see it for reference or just to see what I classify as a positive, PM me!

@Megzb510 I have never tried vaginal temping, but to me it makes sense if your charts consistently look a certain way, that the temping method shouldn't really change the overall pattern of how your temps fall. Is the problem that you just feel like it makes them harder to interpret?

I guess DH was starting to have second thoughts about the white, bc I guess a lot of GSD enthusiasts don't even recognize them? There's very few in Schutzhund, not that I want to necessarily go that far with his training, but the idea is definitely to have a good family dog that would at least be a deterrent. We also have the maltipoo, and my previous big dog was a Pyr/Kuvascz so I guess I wanted to stick with the white dog thing for now. Do you know of any differences or problems with the white ones?
@Xstatic3333We honeymooned in Maine, too! We had been driving back and forth across the country moving from Nevada back to NJ so the money or time away from the moving process for our dream transatlantic cruise was just not happening. It was a relatively short drive (for us) and we stayed in an adorable little private cottage on a cove with rowboats and bikes and that. We didn't go on any bike-rides, but we did row our little boats out for a lovely day on the water, and then we took a daytrip to Portland for whalewatching. DH wants to go back when it's cooler, so we'll see if we can find a way to sneak away this spring. Oh, and I also love your hot sauce subscription! I feel like I need this in my life. lol I don't have an answer for your question, but I had a similar weird-temp thing this morning. (see r/r/cs)

May HIO one more time today, maybe tomorrow too, just until we see the spike and can be sure we've maxed out our fertile window. Peak smiley yesterday, so we are still in that 48 hour window.
R/R/CS: Pretty sure I ovulated after dinner last night around 640PM. I know, I know, I don't want to be that girl, but I was cleaning up the kitchen and ***TMI*** I felt a sudden burst of moisture that suddenly wet my panties just a little. I wonder if that could have been a follicle burst?? lol For people who "feel" their ovulation happen, is that a possible indicator?
My temp this morning at 5:30 was EXACTLY the same as yesterday, and with all the talk of wonky thermometers, I was like, oh brother. So I temped again at 7:20 and there was a HUGE rise, from 97.39 up to 97.90, so at least I confirmed my thermometer's not broken! I think what may have happened is if I hadn't O'd all day, my temp WOULD HAVE been lower, but since then I believe I did O late in the day, the temp rise was only enough at that time to bring the temp up to level with the previous day. I think a .5 rise in less than two hours is maybe a bit more than normal time-related fluctuations, no? I know we will have to wait and see if tomorrow's temp is much higher, but I'm pretty sure yesterday was O day. Oh, and this morning the EWCM was gone, too.

I don't know of any problems with white GSDs, but I've read something about them not being to "breed standard," or something, if that matters to you. It wouldn't matter to me! You know what's funny? R/R/CS: I was really annoyed this morning. I was hoping for my temp to spike today as it would give me -5,-2 timing. I slept like crap, woke up well over an hour before my temp time, and stayed awake for an hour, then slept really lightly. I took 3 temps, I'm sure none of them are accurate. I'm bummed. I'm going to chart the next 3 days to confirm O but I think this month BBT chart is a bust. I don't want to see the fall and be depressed over impending AF so I think I'm going to stop after that and just resume after this coming AF. Better yet, hopefully I still o'ed yesterday and I just couldn't see it on my chart or today and my temp will be up tomorrow which isn't terrible timing -3. I did get almost positive OPK yesterday and today so who knows.

*ETA* @momstahp <span>Oh ya, I definitely used my regularly-timed temp. That was not the question. I only made a point to re-temp later, (after sleeping an extra couple hours), in order to make sure my thermometer wasn't going cuckoo, because the reading was EXACTLY THE SAME as the day before! lol (...and there's been a lot of talk lately of thermometer's "favouring" temps or just acting wonky.) My question was really just a hypothetical about the .5 degree rise potentially being an indicator that I will see my spike tomorrow... which is really neither here nor there. We'll see what happens tomorrow!

Starting EPO this month so these conversations are great (@murray1030@MissAmeliaPond@atcwag @Lecool). My amazon shipment gets here Wednesday and I haven't done the amount of researching I usually do, thank goodness for the dosage recommendations here... otherwise I would have made myself stomach sick. Anything other info you have about EPO, let me know!
R/R/CS: Just wishing I wasn't a late ovulator (ovulater?). This WTO thing takes forever. Plus DH is always out of town 3/4 weeks of the month for work so timing is nearly impossible, but we've been making it work. I don't know how many more months we'll get lucky on that front though.

We stayed at The Reserve at Paradisus Palma Real. Such an amazing resort. I've recommended it to so many people. The food was great, the atmosphere was great, it was fun. Can I go back?

GTKY: I lost my job a year before our wedding, so money was tight. It was like a month before and I realized we weren't going on a honeymoon! I complained about it on facebook (vented really, but I'm always whining.) And my dad stepped up. He got us a hotel room down town for 4 days. Not what I had dreamed of, but it was an amazing time! I got to explore my city with my new husband and the room came with champagne and chocolate covered strawberries. We had a lot of fun, and I remember it fondly.

sldp123 yes it was I who had horrible side effects from EPO. I bought the Walmart brand and it came in 1000mg and said to take 3 a day. I took the first dose around 6pm. By 8pm I was horribly sick.

WAYDTGKTFU: Prenatals, Mucinex, HIO EOD, OPKs I took a digital OPK this am it was negative, Wondo this afternoon looked positive. FF doesn't predict O until Friday. I'll be really sad if I do O today or tomorrow because we haven't been HIO as we planned/and did start
R/R/CS: We hired an additional person for our department today. My boss called me into a conference room to talk mostly about her position (she's getting some of my work while I get someone else's). She also wanted to know how I was doing (she knows about my MC and there has been a lot of baby talk with my other boss having his baby Friday and my coworker KU). That really impressed me!

We also went to a resort in PA but DH didn't get his brakes changed before the trip and they were sounding horrible so we basically parked and walked everywhere. A lot of things I had planned involved driving so we didn't do a lot of it. I wanted to go on a cruise or something on a tropical resort. He wanted to "save" money. I don't think it would have been that much more:(

@khbear I am not sure about during the TWW. I avoid it in general because I was reading about how women with a significant family history of breast cancer should avoid it. (I read this two years ago, so I forget why...maybe something simulates estrogen? Whatever it is, the ingredient that causes your uterus to grow stronger also can increase risk of breast cancer for those already at higher risk.)
Thanks for the sympathy for my SIL. I am just so far away from her, and it is breaking my heart not be be able to support her more practically.

R/R/CS: I'm back!! I took a break over the weekend, I missed you guys! I'm cd13 and my opk is the squinterist of squinters... Wtf body don't you hold out on me until cd33 again or I will totally subject you to cold showers. Idk how fast I should expect to see a line.. Does it start showing up more than a week before O for most people? I know I heard some people can't turn them at all, I hope I can it sure would help with these crazy cycles!

Sorry for my delay! I got so caught up yesterday with work boo. I don't know of any problems with white GSDs, but I've read something about them not being to "breed standard," or something, if that matters to you. It wouldn't matter to me! You know what's funny?
