Saw this on another board. You tell us what (if any) good shows, books, movies you've seen lately. Anyone?
Books
Ive started Ms Perigrine's Home For Peculiar Children and I really like it so far. The movie is coming out in December! I also started Happiest Baby On The Block which hasn't really told me anything I didn't know but the refresher is nice.
Shows
So excited for The People vs OJ Simpson on Tuesday!

Books: I recently finished "Secret Sisters" by Jayne Ann Krentz, and I liked it a lot. I haven't read any of her books before, and now I am looking up others - it's a murder mystery thriller romance type. I'm also trying to finish "The Passage"/"The Twelve" by Justin Cronin before the movie gets made ... which may be next year or so? It's compelling, but so ... so. ... long. And my SO just finished "Seveneves" by Neil Stephenson and kept raving about it, so I'll probably read that one soon (he rarely raves about books). And next I will read the new JK Rowling (writing as Robert Galbraith) detective one "Career of Evil".
TV: Obviously stuck to my tv for the new X-Files episodes (I feel like I'm 10 again ...), and Lucifer (with Tom Ellis who I adore, and based on the comics by Neil Gaiman) which just started last week on FOX. Other than that, I'm mostly a Jane the Virgin/The Blacklist/How to Get Away with Murder person. PBS is going to have a documentary on forced sterlization of Latina women on Tuesday that I will be crying and raging over called No Mas Bebes.
Movies: Yeah ... I got nothing. I haven't been to the theater since Star Wars in Dec. But I am looking forward to Deathpool and Pride, Prejudice and Zombies in February!
Mama to Three Girls:
Twins born March 2014 at 26 weeks due to preterm labor
and our 37weeker born May 9th, 2016!
Books: Yesterday I finished Winter by Marissa Meyer, which is the fourth book in her Lunar Chronicles series (technically it's the final book in the series, but there is a short story collection based on it that's coming out in a few days). The whole series is a sci-fi retelling of fairy tales. For example, the first book in the series (Cinder) is about a cyborg with a mechanical foot instead of a glass slipper. The second features a Red Riding Hood who delivers goods to her grandmother via a sort of hover/space ship, the third has Rapunzel trapped in a satellite far above the Earth, and the one I just finished features a main character who is basically Snow White (who is definitely not white as snow) and lives on the moon. Any more that I can say would be venturing into spoiler territory, so just believe me when I say this series is awesome. 10/10, would read again.
The books I'm picking to read right now are based on a challenge my friends and I are participating in, and I'm not sure what my February pick is going to be yet. Probably one of the short story anthologies Neil Gaiman edited.
Shows: Just finished The Mysteries of Laura on Netflix, and love it. And thanks to a few of you who have posted on this BMB, I recently started watching the Great British Bake-Off. I don't even like reality tv in general, but I'm finding myself really invested in this one, haha.
Movies: The last thing I saw in theaters was the new Star Wars, which I really enjoyed. I have no clue what's out now, though, because I've been kind of hermitting it up lately. Watched The English Patient on Netflix last week, which is still giving me all the feeeeeeels. Other than that I've mostly just been watching a lot of historical/travel documentaries.
Shows: Vikings season 4 is starting now Feb and I am super excited. We also started Marvel's Jessica Jones over the weekend and we've enjoyed it so far. Still enjoying Shameless, but Fiona's character is getting so boring. We are Team Lip all the way!
Movies: Saw the Hateful Eight on Saturday and it was okay - but 3 hours long. Waiting for Deadpool on the 13th. That's going to be fun!
Reading The Book Theif
Shows
Been watching Downton Abbey, American Idol, and Bachelor.
Movies
Just saw Joy this weekend and it was SO inspiring!! Very well done, too.
Books: I am currently reading my way through what to expect when you're expecting. I've also been reading The Guardian. I wonder if I will ever finish it, I haven't even picked it up in forever.
Shows: I don't watch current TV. DH and I have been watching Banshee on Amazon Prime and I watch Arrow on Netflix while I am at the gym.
Movies: My brother gave me Joy and The Reverant on a USB drive so DH and I will watch those. We are supposed to go see Deadpool with friends of ours this month, that looks good.

I love it so much. The information is great and the writing style is laid-back. He came out with a toddler discipline book that's on my list of things to read as well.
TV
I love comedies while pregnant, so DH and I have been watching Brooklyn 99 on Hulu. It's silly, but very funny. We also tend to watch SNL and Jimmy Fallon on there after they air.
Movies
DH and I saw Star Wars VII in theaters, but I don't foresee getting out to the theaters for anything else until it's drive-in season. We're planning to watch Inside Out with DS sometime this week finally.
Currently reading Living with Kids and Dogs (someone on this board recommended it). Just finished Still Alice (amazing!). Still reeling from the Throne of Glass series - 5 of the books are out, and they are all amazing.
TV
Amazon's "Mad Dogs" - DH and I have knocked out almost the entire season in the past week and a half. I just have Netflix and Amazon Prime so I finished Parenthood, but much later than everyone else.
Movies
I can't remember the last movie I saw - Maybe Hunger Games? I'm excited to see 5th Wave later this week, but can't wait until the Secret Life of Pets comes out!
I need to recharge my Kindle. I was in the middle of re-reading the Sherilyn Kenyon Dark Hunters series. I also am planning on re-reading Kim Harrison's The Hollows series.
Shows
Can't wait to see Rattled on TLC on Tuesday, and My 600lb Life on TLC. Other than that since we just got our satellite tv back (after a few years of only having antenna and picking up two channels) I'm trying to figure out what else I like. I know I watched some shows on Hulu after they aired on channels I can't get. Once Upon A Time, and the new The Muppets.
Movies
I have not been to the movie theatre in forever.

Shows: Right now I'm watching Downton Abbey... so sad for this to end!!, The X-Files, and Colony. We still have a bunch of Ash vs Evil Dead to finish as well. I'm super excited for 11.22.63 to start on Hulu -- that show based on the Steven King book.
Movies:
The last few I've seen and enjoyed were Brooklyn, Star Wars, and the Hunger Games movie. I don't even know what is out in theaters right now

Movies: We have seen most movies that have come out, but the best one I've seen lately is The Big Short. Smart and funny.
Movies: I just watched The Martian and a couple weeks ago saw Daddy's Home. Both were good, Daddy's home wasn't as funny as I thought it would be but good none the less. Wednesday I'm going to see Revenant and am so so excited
TV: I watch MasterChef which the MC jr just ended. @LadySamLady I also watch Top Chef! I'm a huge Criminal Minds fan and am glad Reid is finally back! The newest show I'm into now is Blindspot and I can't wait for it to start up again this spring
Eta: I have no idea why it says "moo" before your name haha
@yogahh I have not heard about the Hulu series on the Stephen King book but I will definitely be adding that to my list to watch

Books: My brother gave me Miss Perigrine's Home for Peculiar Children and now I'm really excited to read it. I'm currently reading "Bittersweet" which I think will be a bit of a Gothic thriller. I just finished reading the "Devil's Star" by Jo Nesbo which was pretty good though certainly not the best mystery I've read.
TV: I have been watching Veep on HBO Go--- that show always puts a smile on my face. My husband and I just finished watching "Orphan Black" which is an interesting sci-fi show about clones. I can't wait to dive into the X-Files either.... And I just started thinking about the second season of Outlander... I think we have a few more months for that. The Man in the High Castle was cool too... as was the comedy "Catastrophe" on Amazon Prime which is about an American guy who knocks up his one-night stand in the UK and then moves there.
Movies--- The only ones I've seen recently were The Martian, Sicario and Inside Out (which I loved)... I'd love to see the Big Short , Spotlight and Bridge of Spies...
