Bottle holding?

Hi ladies, long time lurker here. Anyone's lo holding their own bottle to feed themselves? My lo is 6 1/2 months old and he will grab his bottle from my hands and bring it up to his mouth but still has trouble holding it up for more then a minute. 
I'm not sure if the bottle is too heavy. We use Dr browns options bottles, 8oz each feeding. Or if he just likes momma and dada to hold it for him. Either way I'm curious to know how you're lo's are doing with this and if anyone has any suggestions on how I can get him to hold it himself.

    My LO can only hold it if it's near the end and lighter. And she's perfectly happy letting us hold it. When my son was a baby he didn't hold it until he was 11 months and it was just purely that he had no interest.

    Yea I think lo is happy with us holding it and I don't mind holding it for him. Soon he won't want me to. He's growing so quickly! 
    I forgot to mention that I did try a sippy cup with handles and he held it up to his mouth but he just didn't like that he had to sip instead of suck like with his bottle nipple. Wish his bottle had handles...

    My daughter doesn't hold it either :) she plays with it, smacks it and tries to bring it to her mouth.

    Mine holds it pretty well, but still drops it once or twice a feeding. Or when she's tired, like at the last feeding of the day.

    Our DD tries to hold it but we use glass bottles so I think the added heaviness makes it harder

    LO has been holding his bottle since about 4.5 months, I started out holding my hands over his while feeding him and now he will take the bottle from me and hold it himself. Although when he gets full he tends to drop it so we usually have a slight hold on the end.

    LO has been holding it since 5 1/2 months he's on 6 oz

    LO will hold it sometimes but usually can't figure out that she needs to tip it to get anything lol. I don't mind though, I like holding her and feeding her :)

    So my little guy decided to hold his own bottle today. It was about 4-5oz. He was just tipping it back like a little pro. Proud momma moment  :blush:
