How are you feeling? Ugh, who knows. Just went through the worst weekend of my life. I started taking Diclectin on Friday and the side effects over this weekend were brutal. I have never felt so sleepy any useless in my life. I would basically come out of the bedroom for an hour or two, get a little bit done, try to play with my son and end up curled up half asleep on his play mat. I was sleeping about two hours for every hour I was actually up and doing anything. It was horrible and I can't keep on like that. Haven't taken any today. At least with the nausea I was still present. I was crabby and felt terrible most of the time, but I was there. This weekend I just slept my life away. I'll take the nausea over the debilitating fatigue for now
Doing anything baby related today? Nope
Raves/Rants/Randoms: Nothing new. Except maybe that it's after 9 and I'm still not nauseous!! I took my last two Diclectin at 7 last night and so far I'm still feeling good today. I know the drug takes a while to build up so I guess it probably takes a while to wear off. But for now I'm here, I'm at work, I'm functioning and I feel pretty good so yay!
Questions?
I'm putting in a call to my midwife today but when she prescribed the Diclectin for me on Thursday, she mentioned that "it might make me drowsy for the first few days while my body gets used to it." Has anyone experienced the drowsiness actually easing up after a few days of taking it? I obviously can't go on the way I was last weekend, but if there is real hope of it getting better I will try and tough it out.
GTKY: Has the pee fairy visited you? How often are you running to the bathroom these days? Is it more, less, the same?
How far along are you? EDD? About 8 weeks, EDD 9/6 for now
How are you feeling? Having a "I feel too good" kinda day... nausea isn't around, breasts still heavier but not too tender. Will see as the day goes on - appointment later this week and hopefully schedule a scan to start making this feel more real
Doing anything baby related today? Just peeking in on here during work
Raves/Rants/Randoms: Rant: Brought my 13 monther to a 1 year party yesterday. Everyone there would ask "how old is he?! is he walking yet??" Which no, he is not. He crawls like a mad man, walks on his knees without hands, and pulls to stand - but doesn't stay balanced for more than a few seconds without. When I'd say "Nope, not quite yet!" They'd say "oooh, he will!! Don't worry!" ...I wasn't worrying, you're just being nosy. And yes, I totally get that I'm being overly sensitive, it's just annoying. End rant.
Questions?
GTKY: Has the pee fairy visited you? How often are you running to the bathroom these days? Is it more, less, the same? I've always been a huge water drinker and a pretty frequent peer. I haven't woken up to pee during the night (actually never did during last pregnancy) but when I wake up in the morning I feel like I might burst!
@AnnaS930 you never had to pee in the night with your last pregnancy!! I hate you a bit right now. That was my most annoying symptom past the first trimester! I've never been one to get up in the night to pee and so adjusting to getting up several times a night was hard. I found it really disruptive. I would totally consider an adult diaper, just so I could enjoy a full night's rest if I wasn't afraid I'd get too used to it and then have to "potty train" myself after
@0SeaMonkey0- I wet the bed for a long time as a kid.. maybe I just have a really stretchy bladder - or my body never taught itself to wake up when it's time to go! hahaha
How are you feeling? I forgot what it feels like to just feel normal. I think pregnancy symptoms have started to ease up but it's hard to tell with the miserable cold I've had the past week. Waiting at my doctor's walk-in clinic now, hoping for some antibiotics (possible sinus \ ear infection.)
Doing anything baby related today? Calling to schedule bloodwork for genetic testing.
Raves/Rants/Randoms: DH keeps hinting at how rough it is for him when I'm sick. I know it affects him, too, but seriously? I'm tired but can't sleep, nauseous, have so much sinus pressure I can barely think, the list goes on. Wanna trade places? Yeah, that's what I thought. Sorry. End rant.
Questions? Nope
GTKY: Has the pee fairy visited you? How often are you running to the bathroom these days? Is it more, less, the same? The same, so far!
How are you feeling? Exhausted, nauseas, the usual. Plus now I have a sore throat probably because of my extra stuffy nose lately that I'm sure is draining and making my throat raw.
Doing anything baby related today? Probably not.
Raves/Rants/Randoms: I feel like absolute shit today and all I want to do is go back to sleep. Probably not going to happen tho.
Questions? None
GTKY: Has the pee fairy visited you? How often are you running to the bathroom these days? Is it more, less, the same? Yes! Have only had to get up in the night a couple times so far but I pee much more frequently during the day.
How are you feeling? No MS. Last night my BBs must have heard I was talking crap about them so they decided to be super sore (which actually makes me happy) and slowly starting Sat till today I have so much extra saliva.
Doing anything baby related today? I POAS this morning, the dark line makes me feel better.
Raves/Rants/Randoms: I have signed up for way too many pregnancy by week places, but I LOVE this one, Alpha Mom! She is hysterical and sounds more like a really smart and funny friend talking to you. She has calmed me down pretty well. This about sore BBs "So if you’re pregnant and your boobs hurt yesterday but don’t hurt today, don’t panic, and don’t mash them into lumpy potatoes while trying to get reassurance that you’re still pregnant." and this about cramps "A full, pressing bladder is infinitely more preferable to the sensation that my uterus is about to expel its precious cargo."
Questions?
GTKY: Has the pee fairy visited you? How often are you running to the bathroom these days? Is it more, less, the same? YES! I used to be a pro at holding my bladder like 3 glasses, now it feels like I need to go for every 2/3 of a glass (I am twice as thirsty so lots of trips). I have always used the restroom once at night but now it's already twice, what is going to happen in the third tri?
@AnnaS930 it's the most annoying thing when people make comments about walking. DD didn't walk till 15-16 months and that's all anyone ever asked me.
How far along are you? EDD? 7w 5d; 9/7
How are you feeling? Disgusting. Threw up again last night before bed. Up to 4 times so far this pregnancy. Still trying to stay away from meds cause I can deal with it as long as it's not multiple times a day.
Doing anything baby related today? Nope
Raves/Rants/Randoms: 1 more week till my 1st doctor's appointment and u/s.
Questions? Nope
GTKY: Has the pee fairy visited you? How often are you running to the bathroom these days? Is it more, less, the same? About the same for now. I don't remember going more till my 3rd tri last time.
How far along are you? EDD? -8weeks today! SEPT 5.
How are you feeling? -I had horrible night last night but woke up feeling much better. I'm actually able to get some stuff done around the house too!!
Doing anything baby related today? -nope.
Raves/Rants/Randoms: -After our ultrasound on Friday we announced at our church. Everyone was so excited but I got a very insensitive comment. After having a loss this past September, a lady had the guts to say "well at least if you miscarry this one, you are able to get pregnant again. Seems like you guys have no problem in that area. Some women would love to just be able to get pregnant even if that meant only carrying it for 8 weeks." Umm, excuse me?!?
Questions?
GTKY: Has the pee fairy visited you? How often are you running to the bathroom these days? Is it more, less, the same? -I don't really feel like I am peeing any more than normal... Yet.
How are you feeling? Exhausted. I used to be a night owl but now I have to be in bed by 10 or I feel like crap the next day. Also sore boobs, and more thirsty/hungry than usual.
Doing anything baby related today? Jus waiting for my first appt on Friday. Hoping this week won't go by too slow.
Raves/Rants/Randoms: Rave: Zulily maternity sales! Even though it's early I went ahead and bought a purple maxi dress for summer, leggings, and jeans.
Questions?
GTKY: Has the pee fairy visited you? How often are you running to the bathroom these days? Is it more, less, the same? The same during the day but once I wake up in the morning I have to go immediately or I feel like an overfilled water balloon.
@backoffunicorn- Thanks for the solidarity on this! People have certain questions they ask at each age, I'm not sure why - maybe just conversation. As a newborn it was always "does he sleep?" and when I'd say that yes, we were lucky he's a great sleeper "Wow, what a good baby!" It made me cranky. Babies are all inherently good, whether they can sleep, crawl, walk, whatever - they aren't doing anything with an intent to be "bad" People are silly.
And @reesaXdenPeople are apparently incredibly insensitive. I'm so sorry she said this to you. I agree with her that you are fortunate that you don't appear to have a lot of trouble conceiving, but everything else she said is just WAY out there and uncalled for. Again, I'm sorry. No one would choose to go through what you did, and to think that is really uninformed.
How far along are you? EDD? Eight weeks today! EDD 9/5
How are you feeling? I feel okay-ish. We'll see how the day goes. I am feeling particularly puffy today, though.
Doing anything baby related today? I am shopping for a good body pillow. I have not been sleeping well at all and I think it will help.
Raves/Rants/Randoms: I FINALLY get to see the doctor this week! I can't wait. I know it will be long and boring and uncomfortable (hello pap smear) but I am really looking forward to it. Also, I finally broke yesterday and bought my first maternity clothes for an upcoming business trip. I know it's a little early, but I got them from a great secondhand store for a steal. Might as well get them while they're there!
Questions? Nope.
GTKY: Has the pee fairy visited you? How often are you running to the bathroom these days? Is it more, less, the same? Pre-pregnancy, I drink a lot of water + morning coffee. That combined with our family history of small bladders made me a pretty frequent peer, so it's nothing new (except now without the coffee ).
@reeseXden - Holy F*cking... Really?! Some bitch had the nerve to say that? Sorry for the harsh language but that makes me really, really angry! I'm sorry someone said that to you!
How far along are you? EDD? 7 weeks/Sept 12
How are you feeling? I'm alright, super tired, a little nauseous, but nothing really worth complaining
Doing anything baby related today? I don't plan on it, but I'll probably get bored around 2 and start comparing the prose and cons cloth diapers brands (or baby bottles, or car seats, or something else baby-related). I think I'm going to tackle the large baby book/packet my nurse gave me last week! It's a lot of info, and I want to make sure I read it all!
Raves/Rants/Randoms: Spend the day on the couch yesterday crushing some Gilmore Girls. I fully had the intention to get stuff done, but each time I tried my body was like "HAHAHAHA NOPE!" It felt great to have a full on rest day!
Questions? Nope.
GTKY: I'm drinking more water, so I'm peeing a bit more, but otherwise, no, not really.
How are you feeling? Pretty decent. Instead of nausea these past few days, I've been having aversions to food. Last night we went to my parent's for a birthday dinner for my sister. The only thing I could manage was a roll with some butter. I felt bad, but I just couldn't bear to eat anything else.
Doing anything baby related today? Not today
Raves/Rants/Randoms: My older daughter randomly threw up twice yesterday out of no where. No other symptoms or fever. She's tired today, but otherwise fine. I'm praying it's a fluke and not a stomach bug. We just got over these stupid colds! I hate winter germs!
Questions? No
GTKY: Has the pee fairy visited you? How often are you running to the bathroom these days? Is it more, less, the same? During the day, I don't notice much of a change. At night, I have to get up at least 2-3 times after I lay down.
How far along are you? EDD? 8 weeks today. EDD 9/5
How are you feeling? Pretty good. Mild nausea but only occasionally. Can't complain.
Doing anything baby related today? Nope.
Raves/Rants/Randoms: Not much going on here. Just hoping this week goes by quickly! I have my second u/s on Friday and then we are flying to Vegas early Saturday morning! Can't wait!
GTKY: Has the pee fairy visited you? How often are you running to the bathroom these days? Is it more, less, the same? I've never really noticed a change in how often I go. For some reason I've never experienced frequent urination. Even at the end of pregnancy I've never really had to wake up in the middle of the night to pee. Weird!

Raves/Rants/Randoms: The weird dreams have started! Sheeesh... I had a dream last night I was texting and driving, lost control, and a huge semi truck crashed into me but somehow I walked away without a scratch?? Maybe my bodies way of telling me although it feels like a mack truck (nausea, fatigue, hormones) is about to crush me I'll be just fine, at least in the second tri hopefully
Questions? Should we start a scan thread? It looks like a lot of ppl are seeing thier OBs this week
GTKY: Has the pee fairy visited you? How often are you running to the bathroom these days? Is it more, less, the same? The pee fairy just signed a lease in my bladder. And she is the worst roommate ever! Waking me up all hours of the night, has her own agenda and gives no thoughts to when or what is inconvenient to others, takes up SO much space like a giant ballon, and has taken all of my favorite pants away.
How are you feeling? Pretty good. Continue to feel tired all the time, some boob soreness, and intermittent flashes of nausea. I also feel like my c-section scar is tender. Probably in part from all of the coughing I have been doing.
Doing anything baby related today? POAS because that has become my Monday ritual. And it's fun to see a dark line pop up instantly.
Raves/Rants/Randoms: just really really excited that my first appointment is finally just a week away! I just hope time passes quickly. I so desperately want to see this little bean and have confirmation that all is well.

GTKY: Has the pee fairy visited you? How often are you running to the bathroom these days? Is it more, less, the same? A little more--usually wake up a few hours after falling asleep to go. And then HAVE to go first thing in the morning. I seem to go through weird frequency spurts during the day.
Questions? Should we start a scan thread? It looks like a lot of ppl are seeing thier OBs this week
I thought about this too. Somewhere to share the news and an ultrasound pic if you want.

@reesaXden that is so rude and insensitive. I hope you said something back to put her in her place, although prob difficult to get snarky at church I haven't experienced a loss of difficulty getting pregnant but I can't imagine either scenario is any more/less heartbreaking.
@AnnaS930 that is super annoying and I don't think your are being overly sensitive. All babies grow and reach milestones at their own pace and no one should be telling you to "not worry" when there is absolutely nothing to worry about. Our LO started walking around 14months and then started running around 15! I would have kept him immobile longer if I could
@AnnaS930 how annoying! DD never hit the physical milestones "on time" as a baby, and I didn't care. She didn't roll over until 6 or 7 months, crawled at 9 months and walked at 14 months. It's weird how people want kids to start everything right away. None of it matters. Now she's 5 and no one asks me when she started walking.
How far along are you? EDD? 5w1d, 9/25
How are you feeling? pretty good. still wary of the ache on my right side, but it was hardly noticeable yesterday.
Doing anything baby related today? Just TB. Yesterday, I spent way too much time looking up Easter preggo reveals so hopefully I won't do that again today.
Raves/Rants/Randoms: Still have 4 weeks until I get my first scan. I need a countdown calendar.

GTKY: Has the pee fairy visited you? How often are you running to the bathroom these days? Is it more, less, the same? I'm already a frequent pee-er honestly. I drink tons of water (which made it hard to do OPKs when I was TTC) and I swear I've never stopped going so much since my last pregnancy. DH used to tell me something was wrong with me, but I would just laugh it off. It's not like I can't control it or I feel weird. I just go when I need to!
p.s. I'm really attached to my December14 group, but you ladies are making me see that I could grow close to another BMB too. Thanks for the words of encouragement to my rant!
How far along are you? EDD? 6ish weeks. Never remember without looking at my ticker. Due 9/14.
How are you feeling? Fine! Still no symptoms, other than the missed period.

GTKY: Has the pee fairy visited you? How often are you running to the bathroom these days? Is it more, less, the same? I drink a ton of water and always get up during the night so I run the bathroom a lot even when I'm not pregnant.
@AnnaS930@backoffunicorn my DD was a late walker also. I thought it would never happen, but she finally did at 16 months. She's always been a little behind in her gross motor skills, but she is just a very cautious child. I also got frustrated with all the comments/advice.
How far along are you? EDD? 8w5d
How are you feeling? Nauseated, tired, grumpy, bloated. Just getting through each day as well as I can. I usually have 3-4 hours where I feel okay so I try to get as much done as I can during that time. Some days are better than others, but today is not. I didn't sleep well last night so I think that might be why. DD is laying on top of me whining and trying to get me off the couch and the bump. I need a vacation.

Raves/Rants/Randoms: I am putting on weight because all I can eat is carbs, and I am struggling to find the energy to exercise. Honestly this trimester is making me a little depressed. Questions? Is anyone else getting the blues due to 1st tri misery?
GTKY: Has the pee fairy visited you? How often are you running to the bathroom these days? Is it more, less, the same? I am starting to notice it more, but nothing crazy. I usually have to get up and go once during the night.
How are you feeling? Ultimately I feel great. Slightly more hungry than normal, but no MS or anything yet.

Doing anything baby related today? First OB Appointment Today!!! I'm already back and have all of my "goodies." And a very nice prescription for diclegis and phenergan.
Raves/Rants/Randoms: I didn't know I'd be getting an U/S today. If I had known, I would have made sure DH could come. I'm so bummed that he missed out. But we have pictures. Bragging over.
Questions? Nope.
GTKY: Has the pee fairy visited you? How often are you running to the bathroom these days? Is it more, less, the same? Yes. The pee fairy has taken up residence in my bladder. I don't know if it's because I'm drinking more water, but I have to pee every time I stand up. So annoying.
@reesaXden How unbelievable! Why would anyone say that! I'm so sorry!

Doing anything baby related today? If physical therapy counts, getting myself stronger so my back doesn't give out when this tadpole gets really big!
Raves/Rants/Randoms: I'm obsessively checking my email to see if my midwife's office has sent me the details of what my insurance covers. I want to see if I can get an ultrasound at my appointment on Thursday, but if insurance doesn't cover it at the birth center I'll have to go somewhere else. I'm very impatient to seeee that I'm actually growing something in there.
Questions? Nurses and other people who are on your feet all day long rushing around with minimal break opportunities, how are you handling the fatigue, nausea, peeing a lot, etc at work? I'm getting really nervous about going back to work soon..
GTKY: Has the pee fairy visited you? How often are you running to the bathroom these days? Is it more, less, the same? I've been drinking a lot more water because of exercise and constipation so it's hard to tell whether it's the pee fairy or just way more water intake than usual, but during physical therapy I'm peeing about every 30-60 minutes. At home I'm more of a sloth so it's not as often, but I think I can hold it longer sitting down.
@0SeaMonkey0 I don't have any experience with that med, but I'm sorry you're feeling so miserable
@AnnaS930 I think we have the same bladder. I wet the bed too when I was a kid, and I never get up to pee in the night unless I'm woken up for some other reason, and then I feel like I'm going to explode when I wake up. Maybe that's a benefit of all those annoying years of bed wetting as a child?

GTKY: Has the pee fairy visited you? How often are you running to the bathroom these days? Is it more, less, the same? No change yet.
How are you feeling? A little nauseous but overall great.
Doing anything baby related today? YES! I had my first ultrasound today. The baby is in the right place and we heard the heartbeat. It was amazing! I started to cry!!! Best day so far!! )

GTKY: Has the pee fairy visited you? How often are you running to the bathroom these days? Is it more, less, the same? Oh yes! I pee every 20 minutes!!!
How are you feeling? Extremely tired, but I am pretty proud of myself for getting my ass on the treadmill this morning. I walked so it was nothing intense, but more than I have done in weeks!
Doing anything baby related today? Nope
Raves/Rants/Randoms: I locked the keys in the house this morning only for my husband to come home and find that the patio door was unlocked. Glad the kids and I stood out in the cold for 20 mins. Also, I feel like I am only thinking with half of my brain all the time.
Questions? Anyone else with pregnancy brain? Mine is so bad right. Home. Work. Socializing. I can't do any of it.
GTKY: Has the pee fairy visited you? How often are you running to the bathroom these days? Is it more, less, the same? I have been trying to drink a ton more water so I don't know if it is that or pregnancy, but when I got to go I got to go now!
How far along are you? EDD? 4w5d september 28 but still haven't seen a dr
How are you feeling? I felt so tired all day. I keep waking up an hour earlier than my alarm so I don't know if it's the pregnancy. I still got sore nipples and occasional dizzines but sometimes I don't feel pregnant at all..I hope is not a bad thing....
Doing anything baby related today? Nope
Raves/Rants/Randoms: I should be more active. But In this cold even going for a walk seems like a bad idea
Questions?
GTKY: Has the pee fairy visited you? How often are you running to the bathroom these days? Is it more, less, the same? I'm trying to drink more water so I think is normal I go more often.
Re: Monday Check-In (1/25)
How are you feeling?
How far along are you? EDD? 7w 5d; 9/7
How are you feeling? Disgusting. Threw up again last night before bed. Up to 4 times so far this pregnancy. Still trying to stay away from meds cause I can deal with it as long as it's not multiple times a day.

-8weeks today! SEPT 5.
How are you feeling?
-I had horrible night last night but woke up feeling much better. I'm actually able to get some stuff done around the house too!!
Doing anything baby related today?
-nope.
Raves/Rants/Randoms:
-After our ultrasound on Friday we announced at our church.
Yet.
8 weeks, EDD 9/5
How are you feeling?
Exhausted. I used to be a night owl but now I have to be in bed by 10 or I feel like crap the next day. Also sore boobs, and more thirsty/hungry than usual.
Doing anything baby related today?
Jus waiting for my first appt on Friday. Hoping this week won't go by too slow.
Raves/Rants/Randoms:
Rave: Zulily maternity sales!
And @reesaXden People are apparently incredibly insensitive. I'm so sorry she said this to you. I agree with her that you are fortunate that you don't appear to have a lot of trouble conceiving, but everything else she said is just WAY out there and uncalled for. Again, I'm sorry. No one would choose to go through what you did, and to think that is really uninformed.
That combined with our family history of small bladders made me a pretty frequent peer, so it's nothing new (except now without the coffee
Weird!

@AnnaS930 that is super annoying and I don't think your are being overly sensitive. All babies grow and reach milestones at their own pace and no one should be telling you to "not worry" when there is absolutely nothing to worry about. Our LO started walking around 14months and then started running around 15! I would have kept him immobile longer if I could
How far along are you? EDD?
Questions? None

GTKY: Has the pee fairy visited you? How often are you running to the bathroom these days? Is it more, less, the same? I drink a ton of water and always get up during the night so I run the bathroom a lot even when I'm not pregnant.

Doing anything baby related today? no
Raves/Rants/Randoms: I am putting on weight because all I can eat is carbs, and I am struggling to find the energy to exercise. Honestly this trimester is making me a little depressed. My stomach is sucking the joy out of everything, and the nasty winter weather isn't helping my mood. The thought of dealing with this for another month is agonizing.
Questions? Is anyone else getting the blues due to 1st tri misery?
GTKY: Has the pee fairy visited you? How often are you running to the bathroom these days? Is it more, less, the same? I am starting to notice it more, but nothing crazy. I usually have to get up and go once during the night.

So I guess I'm now "officially" pregnant. And just to brag a bit, baby is looking great, measuring 7w1d, just a day less than my estimated due date from charting, and has a heartbeat of 137.

If physical therapy counts, getting myself stronger so my back doesn't give out when this tadpole gets really big!
Raves/Rants/Randoms:
I'm obsessively checking my email to see if my midwife's office has sent me the details of what my insurance covers.
@JennM205 and @tigerfish227 I hope your illnesses go away soon!
@jhems776 Alpha Mom sounds fantastic! I'm going to get it. Thanks for the suggestion!
@backoffunicorn Sorry you're throwing up. Ugh
