Ellis Michael is finally here! I woke up this morning at 6:30 to pee and get my DS1 out of his crib and my water broke! I thought I had hemmoragged because there was a lot of blood, which I was not expecting, but is apparently normal. I had no contractions for the first 30 minutes and then they started up. They weren't like super intense but they started off really close together. Every 4 minutes or so lasting about 45 seconds. The midwife called me back to time a contraction over the phone and immediately told us to get on the car and get there. We live about 40 minutes away from the birthing center so we jumped in the car to head that way. When we were about 15 minutes away from the center I got the sudden urge to push and freaked out thinking that I was going to have this baby in the car (my worst fear!). After much urging by the midwife to not push under any circumstances we finally made it to the center where I bailed out of the practically moving car, ran into the birthing center and gave birth to my beautiful baby boy, med free and with only two pushes. Ellis Michael was born at 9:19 AM and weighed in at 8 lbs 8 oz and 21.5 inches long. He is super bruised from the extremely quick labor and birth, but other than a black a blue head he is perfect! We were released to go home at about 2 PM and have been snugly tucked in bed ever since!
