Flagyl & side effects (12 weeks)

Just wondering if any one else has had mild cramping & brown spotting after starting a regimen of Flagyl for BV? I am 12 & 1/2 weeks, and I've had no spotting or cramping so far. Started 500 mg 2x/day, first dose Wed evening. Started spotting & mild cramping Friday afternoon. Hasn't been enough to make me call OB, and I have ultrasound Tuesday, but just looking for any similar experiences. Thanks in advance!

    Thanks- I plan on calling in the morning, but it is not enough volume or painful, so I don't think it warrants an ER visit.

    I took it but didn't have those side effects. Obviously it is considered safe in pregnancy but I'd call asap to be sure. Your doctor should have an after hours line. Best of luck with the appointment and ultrasound!
