Sorry if this post is all over the place. I'm just so frustrated and furious with my clinic.

This is my 4th monitored cycle with them. Every other cycle I have had my IUI on either CD14 or 15. Their protocol was to start monitoring on CD10 every other day and once you have a follicle that's 15mm you come back daily until you trigger.

Well, yesterday on CD14 I had an 18mm follicle and 2 other 14mm ones. The doctor told me not to worry about coming on Sunday, just come back Monday at 8am and I may trigger Monday or Tuesday. He told me to do an OPK on Sunday and call ASAP if it's positive.

I reminded him that last cycle from CD 11-12 I went from 15mm to 22mm in less than 24 hours. He didn't seem concerned.

Of course today I do an OPK and it's a blazing positive. I called the clinic and they're closed. They close at 11 on Sundays.

So now what? Do I have TI today or wait to speak with someone at my appt at 8am tomorrow?

The reason I'm so annoyed is because in my province (I'm Canadian) IVF just became publicly funded. So to offset the money the clinic is now losing from IVF they're now cutting back on U/Ss and bloodwork. Essentially because my clinic is cheap (even though I'm paying privately!) they cut back on my monitoring this cycle which resulted in this mess.

UGH! What would you do if you were me? Have sex this afternoon or wait until my appointment tomorrow morning?

Does hubby have a strong sperm count? I'd go for it and go in on Monday! So sorry! How frustrating for you. I am so sorry! I hate when our clinics don't listen. It's their job! Good LUCK!

Yes but my clinic requests that men "hold" for 3 days prior to IUI. Last time he held for 5 days and his post-wash was 67mil.

Whoa! So jealous! My hubbies sperm pretty much suck on 5 different levels. Go for it girl! He will be fine! Even if it was lower then they could have him provide two samples!! Get busy!!!! You don't want to waste the opportunity.

I would go for it now!! That'll give him 24 hrs to resupply. Good luck!! And yes SO FRUSTRATING about your clinic!!

I would go for it to.
I understand the 'wanting to scream part' this is so important for us.
But put the frustration aside, get busy with DH so he can recover to do his bit again.

I'm guessing you're a fellow Ontarian I agree with you that they should have seen you today, and IUI may have been for tomorrow morning. On my lucky cycle, they thought I had an extra day or two, but when they checked my bloodwork that afternoon, they called in a panic for me to trigger that night and come for IUI the next morning. I didn't realize the new IVF funding would have an impact on monitoring, especially if you're paying OOP for IUI (which really, should be covered up to a certain number of trials; Quebec cut their IVF program, but IUIs are still covered).

I hope you got busy already, and FX for you this is it!

Thanks everyone. I went back this morning and I haven't ovulated yet. They were very apologetic though. I'm going back at 10 a.m. for IUI... at least I saved $100 by not getting the trigger this month!

I'm sorry! This is a chronic problem we infertile gals deal with. I hope it gets easier. Sucks it's a relative though. They of all people should know better!
