Advice please - come up in a really itchy rash on my face.

I am currently 6+5 weeks pregnant. I have woken up this morning with a really itchy rash on my face. Not sure what has brought it on? Could this be related to pregnancy? Is it safe to take antihistamines in early pregnancy? Have you ladies got any advice on how I may be able to soothe it? Thanks in advance x

Call your nurse line or the dr. They will be able to tell you what is safe to take but try not to take anything until you can talk to them due to still being early in your pregnancy. Most ob's have an on call line you can get ahold of.

Try using a warm or cool cloth to help soothe your face avoid using lotions, soaps and moisturizers until you find out what is causing the rash, as different chemicals can make rashes worse or hurt more.

It is hard to say if it is brought on my pregnancy or something else. You could also swing by an urgent care as they would be able to help you as well.

I got something like this in my last pregnancy and it is starting again - like itchy raised welts that become eczema-y. It's a reaction to the hormones I believe and there's not a huge amount you can do except apply cool soothing creams.

Benadryl is on the "okay" list from my dr. Sometimes pregnancy can change your existing allergies, make them better or worse.
