Ok so I breastfed for 1 1/2 months and decided it was not best for me I've been on birth control pills for 1 1/2 months. How easy is it to get pregnant from being on birth control? Does anyone know?

    Do I need to be on birth control for a certain amount of time for it to be fully in effect?

    They say the pill takes a week to be effective and to use a backup method during that time. If you aren't taking it at the same time daily is still use backup

    Are you taking the regular pill or the mini pill? I think the same time everyday thing is really most important with the mini pill.

    The combo pill is like 99%+ effective when used correctly. I've known women who have said they've gotten pregnant while on the pill so it is possible but the odds are low.

    I was on Ocella for 6-7 years. Only missed a day or two here and there (after marriage). When I was young, single and in college you best believe I took that sucker same time everyday haha. We got pregnant with DD1 3 weeks after stopping the pill. DD2 was 6 months after I stopped taking the pill, though neither time were we actively "trying". Before completely stopping the pill, I never had a pregnancy scare or anything like that. The little manual tells you how to finish/restart a pack if you've missed a certain number of pills.
