How are you guys feeling, physically?

Hi everyone, my husband and I are new to this, and we are excited but also very scared. We had a miscarriage back in November of 2015 and now we're thankful to have gotten pregnant again, and so soon! I'm not sure how many of you have had similar experiences, but it's been tough trying to be happy and not scared at every new feeling my body gets. Today I started experiencing some minor back cramping, and I started panicking thinking I was going to miscarry again. Does anyone else feel any minor back cramping, and/or can relate to the mixture of happy/scared feelings?

  • So sorry to hear about your loss. I'm having similar symptoms and am too PGAL. We have a thread each week, talking about our worries and struggles. Feel free to join, we'd love to have you!

  • Also a PGAL mom here. I have heard that it is very normal to have cramping

  • Another PGAL here, I have weird pains near my kidneys that I've never felt before, but they're not really back cramps. I think there is just such a wide range of crazy things that our hormones are capable of, that there's just no way to be sure this early until you see the u/s. Hang in there, so many of us are feeling the range of emotions as well.

  • I've had 1 loss and 1 baby....i cramped with her and I'm cramping now. Very normal to feel cramps as your uterus changes to accommodate a baby.
  • I had some low back pain yesterday at work. Getting up and walking around a bit really helped it
  • So u believably tired. I went to bed at 9:30 last night and slept till ten, with a couple of morning pee breaks. Then I woke up feeling really sick and nauseous and I threw up. Then I felt a bit better and made brunch- ate and was feeling good. Now I'm getting some major cramping and have a heating pad on... So, yea sorry for the major rant, but I am having a range of symptoms that come and go. Get bad cramps at least once a week and it freaks me out as I also had a loss. Trying to stay positive and go with the flow... But honestly it's kind of been a bummer. Hope you are feeling better soon, it will pass.

  • Thanks a ton, to everyone... I'm only 5 weeks, and it feels as though it'll be an eternity until I hopefully get to a place where I feel more secure that I won't lose this one. It helps to hear others who are having similar symptoms and feelings. Walking around seemed to help the back pain some for me as well!
  • @molly0516 I'm 100% in the same boat as you. I had a miscarriage the last week of October and am newly pregnant again already. I'm having cramping and ocassional sharp pains and every time, I get scared. But I've heard some cramping and pains are normal - just everything stretching out!
  • I had a MC September 1st at 7 weeks and needed a d and c. I just found out I'm pregnant a few days ago. I have a 2.5 year old son as well. I feel the same as you. Excited, but nervous this won't be a successful pregnancy.

Im only 5 weeks. I feel a little dizzy here and there, have gas (sorry tmi) and my back hurts. These are all normal symptoms that I felt the last two times as well. Just take it day by day. Think positive, this is what I tell myself.
  • I also had a miscarriage on November 2015. I am now 7w pregnant and have been getting lower back pain since I got my BFP. It looks like it is a normal symptom for this pregnancy as it's never progressed and things are good with baby so far. I have been worried about this pregnancy because of the MC and I kept getting more anxious any time I had something happen that had happened with my loss. What I can tell you is that they are not all are symptoms of miscarriage; pregnancy is hard on your body and you'll feel many changes so try not to worry!
