Pregnant after 35

Hormonal freak outs

I think they have officially started. I just came *this* close to crying because I forgot to wash the wild rice I put in a new soup recipe. And then I googled it and the jury was out on rice washing in general, but recommended it particularly for wild rice. And the soup smells like dirt. And my stomach started to turn. But I spent all afternoon on it. And wasted all of the ingredients. And was short with LO because he wanted to do every dangerous thing while I was screwing up the recipe. Haha. I'm glad I could at least see what was going on and laugh at the situation before full on tears happened'

Thankfully, DH said we should just order pizza. It's on its way.

Any hormonally driven freak outs going on in your neck of the woods? :)

Re: Hormonal freak outs

  • Hope you enjoyed your pizza :) That whole thing sounds like something I would do non pregnant. Maybe I'm in or trouble! And yes, gotta rinse the rice!

  • I was one hormonal rage away from getting really pissed at a coworker. I went for a walk instead.
  • I have either been raging or crying all of the time. I admire that you were able to reel yourself in and laugh it off rather quickly. I am hoping all the emotions start to calm down soon!
  • I had a very similar experience one day during first trimester when I ruined dinner because I was so exhausted and was so angry at myself and threw a fit. But I totally forgot it had happened until now, and I don't remember the details. Just goes to show these things are normal. Don't feel bad :)

  • I was like that during my first pregnancy. In fact, DH told me to take a pg test because something he said made me cry. This time I just cry easily about things that are touching. Movies, songs, etc. As a PGAL girl, I'm particularly susceptible to that song "I'm gonna love you like I'm gonna lose you, I'm gonna hold you like I'm saying goodbye." Good grief, that one always brings me to tears.
