C-section mamas

Question for any of you mamas who have had a previous c-section. I've had a cold and have been coughing a ton. And now I feel like I'm noticing tenderness around my scar. Anyone else experiencing this? Some internet searching indicates that this can be typical due to the scar tissue on the uterus beginning to stretch, but I'd be curious to hear your experiences too.

Oooh, that's actually something I was wondering! I've had a cough all week and when I cough I feel like there's this tightening down there. I figured it was just because of the pregnancy, but didn't even think of the scar!

I've always occasionally gotten a sharp pain if I cough or move wrong. It's very random but HURTS & catches me off guard

Agreed.. The scar randomly pulls, hurts, itches and what not. Unless the pain persists, then ask a doc

Ditto to those above, it's because of the scar. I can assure you that when you're not pregnant it will eventually go away

Yes absolutely. You can help by holding a pillow on your scar when you cough.

Thanks, all! I have started to try to at least bend over and hold my stomach when I cough. I'll have to try the pillow trick! I'm having mild flashbacks to post-c-section sneezes and laughs.
