Hi!
So we just had a 32 week ultrasound and the tech stated our baby's head and abdomen are measurement closer to 35 weeks while her arms/legs are about 33. And she's close to 5 pounds already. Is there any one else with a baby that is measuring large or have had one in the past?
Does this mean I'm destined to have a large baby? I'm envisioning stretch marks, loose skin and a c section. I'm over reacting I know...our baby is healthy and I should just be thankful not vain.
Re: Baby head/abdomen measuring big for 32 weeks
It is what it is... this baby brother of his is following suit and it's actually comical to us
No worries
As far as stretch marks go, it's genetic and has to do with how elastic your skin is. Mine is apparently not and I have been covered in stretch marks for the last 12ish weeks. The size of your baby probably won't have much to do with that.
Edit: I've heard those post partum belly bands are great for helping firm up loose skin
Ultrasounds are notorious for being off. I wouldn't stress it.
My experience doesn't mean anything for you but I've given birth vaginally to 2 nine pound babies and have zero stretch marks and no loose skin. I took care of myself during pregnancy and after and went back to "normal" rather quickly. (Normal for my body). Even my vag went back to normal after pushing 2 huge babies out
