  • 1. How long have you been TTC?
Just hit the one year mark
    2. What is your diagnosis?
Anovulation, in the past year I have had one AF and that was after 21 days of 6mb estrogil and 10 days provera.
    3. What is your current treatment plan?
I will be going for an ultrasound next week to check my lining to see if I can take provera to get my AF or if I need to do the estrogil first. Once I get AF I'll be doing IUI with clomid and a trigger shot. I'm excited and hoping I can take the provera to get AF but I have my doubts since my lining doesn't thicken on its own.

QOTW: If you could bring one musician back to life, who would it be? Elvis, my first love.
  • Alrighty, SA is excellent. Going in friday to the RE to get a ultrasound to make sure all is ok to start clomid. Take that days 3-7 then go back day 12 for another ultrasound to see if it worked. Then most likely times baby dancing.

  • Hi all,

I've been floating around here and a couple of the other boards on here for a while now. It's so great to share stories, advice, support, love, and empathy.

We've been TTC for 14 months, currently on 12th cycle. Currently 10 DPO, although FF changed the CH once on me already due to some missing temps bc of the holidays and traveling.

I have long and irregular cycles and the SA showed somewhat low motility and morphology

OB/GYN is having me start Clomid next cycle (which should start this weekend/early next week) and do that for 4-6 cycles. DH is going for his 2nd SA next week. Urologist said if the numbers come back the same or higher, then it's fine but if they're lower he'll need additional testing. If I don't get KU on Clomid she's going to send us to RE.

Make sure your OB is monitoring you. Clomid is a scary drug. If shes not monitoring ask to be sent to an RE. Clomid can cause thining of your uterus lining, multiples and nasty side effects.

When my OB suggested it and told me I was not going to be monitored, I asked about being referred to an RE. When I told my RE that my OB wanted to put me on Clomid she said absolutely not.

Please do not take it unmonitored. It can cause a lot if problems.

  • @HarryPotterandCats Thanks for the advice! I heard that from other ladies on here as well, so I just called and left a message to schedule an appt with an RE. When they call back I'm going to ask them if I should delay starting Clomid until I see the RE, it would really stink if that had to happen because my cycles are so long, but better safe than sorry I guess!

  • Thank you everyone. We will see. I don't ha w high hopes. This is my fifth medicated cycle and fourth IUI. I'm exhausted and not that hopeful. :-(
  • @Drove2u I can totally relate to the idea of not feeling too hopeful. For me it's 4th medicated cycle and 4th IUI and it gets hard to stay positive and optimistic. Do you have plans to be more aggressive with your meds or go to IVF next cycle? I am pushing my doctor to be more aggressive with meds if this cycle is a BFN.

  • @erica0901 I have to do 6 iuis to move on to Ivf. So I have to do one more IUI after this one and then I get three chances with Ivf. So basically I have four more tries to get pregnant after this one.
  • @erica0901 Good luck to you also and hang in there.  Hopefully 4 is your lucky number.

  • Congrats @Turtle143!!!

GL to you both @Drove2u and @erica0901.  I've been rooting for you cycle after cycle.  I'm ready to see some BFPs from you both!

I know I'm late to the check in, but It's been an awful week for us.  We only BD'd once in my FW, but not for lack of trying.  At first, DH was having difficulty and thought it was the pressure of timing it right, but considering that's never been an issue for us previously he thinks it's the clomid.  When we were able to BD successfully (on CD15, which might have even been too late) he wasn't even completely erect.  Something he's NEVER had issues with before.  We're both upset and I feel bad for him and I don't even know what to do.  I'm trying to focus on the fact that we're still in the game this month, even with only one time.  He's going to bring it up at his next urologist appointment.  In a week he gets another SA to see if this treatment plan is helping improve his count.

To top it off, we had major plumbing issues in our house that started on Sunday.  We did a load of laundry, and halfway through the wash cycle our shower and toilet in the next room start flooding like crazy.  We had to have our pipes worked on and jet streamed and it cost us $2.5k.  THAT certainly didn't help with our BD plans this week either.

    FET #2 (April 2019) = BFN
    FET #3 (July 2019) = BFP! DS born 3/27/20
  • @wifeinraleigh28 ugh I'm so sorry for all that unnecessary stress!! That s a lot of money for plumbing!! Ugh seems to be that time of the year with all this cold! And I really hope the urologist is able to help resolve the issue, or that it resolves on its own. I know issues like that can sometimes have a snowball effect bc then DH is worried that it will happen again, but I hope you both are able to work through it and resolve the issue quickly!

  • @wifeinraleigh28 sorry to hear about the recent struggles! This whole process is a rollercoaster ride itself and then added unnecessary "life stuff" makes it even more difficult. I love your attitude though, you guys totally got this!

  • Hello, not sure if I intro'd here before a while back or not, but I'd like to be added, please. :)

    1.  How long have you been TTC? This is somewhat hard to answer as I struggled with IF during my first marriage, but my CURRENT journey has been about 3 years.

    2.  What is your diagnosis? The only true diagnosis I have is PCOS.

    3.  What is your current treatment plan? I just recently had my second fresh IVF cycle and waiting on FET due to OHSS.

QOTW:  If you could bring one musician back to life, who would it be? I'd say Michael Jackson so he could add a little something to today's music!
  • Hello! New here (intro'd earlier on the main page).

We've been TTC just over 8 months. So far I am diagnosed as being annovulatory some cycles and having a defective (7 days) luteal phase when I do ovulate. My GP and thinks I possibly have endometriosis as well. And I have know hypothyroidism (since I was 12).

Waiting on an ultrasound before she can send me to an OB to figure out if I do have endometriosis or something else. DH has his sperm analysis tomorrow. He is feeling nervous.

    QOTW: Frank Sinatra.
  • Thanks for the support ladies, @erica0901 and @LGW2015.  We just gotta keep pushing forward!
