40+ weeks... Induction scheduled in a week!!! Ugh :(

So:. My due date was 1/16.. Dr won't induce me until 41 weeks and a day! Deja vu all over again ( second baby). Anyone else not 'dilate' naturally?

I'm 5'9", very healthy, exercised entire pregnancy and look like I'm 4 months pregnant ( I hide them well as my son was 8.3/22.5).

My nurse laughed and told me sometimes baby won't drop when someone has strong stomach muscles.... True?!?!

I boarder line Failed my stress test, not dilating ( lol... After EVERYTHING I've done).. Baby is NOT in distress.. She's just REALLY comfy!

Went to the hospital a got a fancy ultrasound to check baby.

A+'on ultrasound... Fluid levels are good.. She's fine... My midwife was there and got the approval from my dr to 'strip the membranes' But I'm now dilated to a 1!!

Thoughts?

Anyone else go through this?)?

Hang in there Mama! I'll be 41 weeks on Wednesday & am scheduled to be induced. I'm also nervous - with my first I went into labor on my own and he was born 40w1d

Try to stay positive! I'm 39 today and also have a plan to be induced at 41. I'm so nervous about it but trying my best to remain positive this little one will figure it out before then!

I wonder on the dropping thing and strong abs. My baby hasn't dropped either and I always get I'm so tiny. I worked out a lot before getting pregnant but not a super ton while pregnant. I wonder if that's true!

I was just scheduled to be induced on Thursday (41 wks). I know that a lot of people are very anti being induced which makes me self conscious about it. But I trust my doctor and this baby seems too comfy in there!

I was induced with my first... It really wasn't bad at all! I had zero complications and delivered naturally. I'd love to experience the 'process' but I'm fine if the baby needs some nudging! Good luck to you!!!

Haven't been through this before but I'm in your boat! My EDD was 1/17. Had an appointment today and I'm still not dilated. My induction is scheduled for 1/23. Having a hard time with it because I wanted it all to happen on its own, but oh well. At this point I just want my baby.

I was at 1 cm for like a month before my due date. My OB inserted a foley balloon catheter into my cervix the night before my induction, and it took me to 3.5cm. I was induced for 12 hours and still didn't dilate any further so they broke my water and I was at a 10 within 3 hours. I didn't necessarily want to be induced, but I figured if they didn't do it then they would have me wait a week with no change and do it anyway.
