Pregnant after 35

It's like another TWW

I feel like I'm in another two week wait over here that will end in a little bit of reassurance or utter disappointment. Doc said to schedule a 2nd ultrasound (abdominal thank god) to check for viability again at 9 weeks. I'm 7 weeks tomorrow and hoping these progesterone supplements are doing the trick. My MMC was at 7w 5d so holding my breath till this next appointment. Thanks for all your support so far; it makes it a bit easier having not told anyone yet!

Tried for DS for 1 year; one dose clomid Nov 2011 = DS born on 8/10/12

  • Oh, gosh, @tiffanyhr ! Will be praying that all goes well and that these next two weeks go quickly for you. My first scan is on 2/1, so I'm anxious for these two weeks to go quickly on my end too.
  • Good luck! These early weeks are so nerve-wracking! Will be thinking of you.

  • That wait is crazy. I had to go through the same. Such a roller coaster of emotions. Just try to relax and keep busy.

  •  It will be here before you know it.  Try to stay positive!
  • I know first hand how stressful the wait can be. I have my follow up u/s tomorrow and the anxiety is mounting. Try to be kind to yourself and do what you can to stay busy and keep your mind off things. It'll be here before you know it and I'm sure all will be well!
  • Waiting for an ultrasound to confirm that your pregnancy is progressing is one of the most never racking things I have ever experienced. It is so difficult to keep your mind off of worst possible scenarios. I'll be thinking positive thoughts for you and your little one.
  • Sending you positive, healthy-baby thoughts! <3
  • I know how hard that is. Hopefully it will be over before you know it and you'll get good news.
