I am 9w3d and today my baby's heartbeat was not detected. We heard the heartbeat and saw the baby at 7 weeks. The heartbeat was 158. My husband and I are devastated. They are saying the baby is measuring just slightly under where I should be. I have asked for another US before the D&C just to be sure. This sucks and having no answers as to what happen just hurts. I do have two other healthy happy kids but was hoping to add just one more.

The same thing happened to me today. I'm 9 weeks and 4 days and was measuring 5-6 weeks with no fetal heartbeat. We're supposed to wait and see but hubby and I both know it's a miscarriage. I'm sorry for your loss.

@apclark I experienced the exact same thing in August. There was no warning, no bleeding. Nothing. I completely understand your pain and I am glad you asked for another ultrasound in case. i hope everything takes a turn for you. My daughter is 4 months old and I'm 7w5d. With my dd they didn't see the yolk sack just the fetal pole at the ultrasound during the 6th week. We were so scared the Dr basically told us 'every woman suffers at least one miscarriage' needless to say he was an a-hole, so we switched docs and in the next u/s there she was. The heartbeat on the screen. She's a healthy little girl at 4 months and of course my doctor is booked solid can't get me in for another two weeks so I'll be over 9 weeks in my first prenatal exam. Of course being what happened in early pregnancy w/my dd, and only 4 months out from my c section, I'm on pins and needles and it will be a huge relief if they can pick up the h/b on the doppler. Hang in there hun, miracles do happen. Please keep us posted.
