Anyone have baby with chapped lips

Anyone have babies with chapped lips? My baby smiles and laughs a lot but they are so dry.... Today it cracked and was kinda bleeding.. I put Vaseline on a few times a day... And they say breastmilk helps so I did that to.. But they are still bad.

My son's lips have been splitting so badly that I usually have to wipe off blood.   :/  I bought the Burt's Bees Baby Bee Kissable Cheeks Balm and apply it every time his lips look chapped.  It's really been helping and he likes to stick his tongue out and try to lick the stick, lol.
  • I use my lip balm on baby-we all get chapped lips thanks to wood heat. It's a local-made one that's organic and tastes like orange, so I'm not worried about her eating it. Coconut oil works too!

  • We have a problem with dry lips and dry face. We, like the pp, use burts bees baby bees face & lip balm. It is AMAZING!!! It helped when she was younger with her baby acne also. I highly recommend! We put it on her lips and her cheeks and forehead. She does try to lick it though, lol.
  • My LO has dry chapped cheeks and lips also. We Use the aquaphor on her cheeks and a tiny bit of coconut oil on her lips, too. I still use the coconut oil for her cradle cap. Her skin is ridiculously sensitive and the cold weather is only making it worse! I'll have to try the burts bees you ladies are talking about!
  • I thought about your post today-
We were at babies r us s and in the checkout aisle they had "baby kisses" for baby lips and cheeks. It was $2.99.
I'm not sure if it's by Burts Bees like pp mentioned. Might be worth a try

This is what I've been using on LO's cheeks and chin this winter - she loves it when I massage it on. It seems to help her face not be so dry. We live in CO - its chilly and dry. I have to use lotion and lip balm year round.
