I've never had a follicle get THAT big! did the doctor say that they were ok to be that big? I have had a follicle just come out of nowhere and ruin all my nice even growth  :'( @cmmxv8Do they think they'll keep going with your stims to try and get those other follicles to grow bigger? If they ignore those two bigger ones and keep going you might get some good ones. Are they worried about cysts?

I've read(sorry I can't find the link) where a follicle when it gets too big by the retrieval occurs can be over-mature.  The RE is probably waiting to get a majority in the "good" follicle size zone so you can have an optimal amount of mature eggs retrieved.  They are probably figuring you will have some over-mature and immature eggs, but they are trying to get most in the goldilocks size zone for retrieval. FX for you!

@Piperella  and @RipleyLV426 thank you so much for your replies! I know the big ones are unusable like you both mentioned as they are trying to get the rest of them in the "goldilocks" zone (which btw I think about all the time and have never heard anyone else call it that - lol - too big, too small, just right etc.) but I have never heard of anyone else letting a lead follicle go to 31 (that thing is HUGE) and I have not yet heard back from the doctor but it does scare me. I don't want to worry but it does feel like the dreaded "canceled cycle" phone call is coming my way. Its heart breaking because this could be my second cancelled IVF cycle after almost 2 weeks of stimming (not to mention how much time it takes for my baseline to get to a place I can even start because of the never ending cysts I produce). The stim process is hard on me physically and emotionally and well you all get it, I just needed to vent I guess - this is the first time I've ever posted on a board even though Ive been dealing with infertility for years now. I was hoping maybe someone would pop up and say yup a huge follicle happened to me and look at these babies now (wishful thinking). Trying to talk myself off my dreaded anticipation anxiety and worst case thinking. I was so excited for todays ultrasound and hoping for good news. Being let down is the worst. It looks like you both are in the 2ww - congrats and I will be sending baby dust your way. I imagine (although Ive never made it that far) the two week wait is pure hell in the anticipation department.

Just got call from dr. and we are moving forward! Going to keep stemming for 2 more days and just let those huge guys keep going!!!! This is such great news!

I'm SOOOOO happy about the good news @cmmxv8!!! WOO HOO! Stimming sucks! You'll get a million awesome eggs! I just KNOW it! Thank you so much for the positive thoughts! It means so much. I'm so excited it wasn't cancelled! When it works (which I know it will) You can talk me through my first IVF
