R/R/CS: you guys, I'm so annoyed at us (DH and I). I don't know whether to laugh or cry. ****TMI Time***** So DH and I planned this little getaway to have fun during FW. Well, we both got drunk, things got weird, and I won't get technical but we spilled perfectly good baby juice. I didnt get a single drop. drunk me fell on the floor at just the wrong time. I mean... I don't get it. Other people get drunk and accidentally make a baby. We get drunk and accidentally don't make one. We had ONE job on this trip...ONE job! Face palm!
GTKY: salmon, sweet potato and sautéed kale with goat cheese. Mmmm!
R/R/CS: I had a lack of sleep last night which caused by temp to be a little high this morning. I'm pretty sure O will be tomorrow as I took a digital OPK when I got in at 1am and didnt get a smily face. Then took another this morning SMU at 10:30am and got a smily face and solid second line on a wondfo. So hopefully that high temp doesnt get FF confused.
But happy to see that smiley and if we BD even just one more time we will beat our efforts fron the last two months!!
GTKY: What is your favorite healthy dinner?
Ooh, I use Hello Fresh so I have had a fair few healthy dinners the last few months so it is hard to pick just one. But I do love anything with salmon in and I like a lot of soups. Oh actually I'm gonna say stir fry!!
WAYDTGKU: pnv, temping, CM, sex to start any day now at least EOD
R/R/CS: Nope, so far so good. Lower temp today as small fry woke up at 4:20 am. Why?!?? Can we not sleep until 6 one day? I'm dying over here. /endrant
GTKY: What is your favorite healthy dinner? Healthy? Um... I guess a good one is sautéed kale and blistered cannelini beans with a side of garlic bread.
@strickland8052 Sorry about the fail yesterday but that story is hilarious.
@strickland8052 That is hilarious and sounds like something we would do! Today is another day! (if you're not too hungover )
Cycle/Month: 10/10
CD: 4
WAYDTGKU: nothing yet, still waiting on af to leave but I'm enjoying my break from temping
R/R/CS: Today is the day I am going to start pouring my energy into taking care of myself again. Less sugar, less giving into chocolate cravings, no more crap that sets off my acid reflux so I can get off Nexium, more time at the gym or at least walking every day.
GTKY: What is your favorite healthy dinner? My favorite dinner is when we do a Greek feast and I think it's pretty healthy (if we leave out the spanakopita): grilled sirloin kebabs marinated in lemony yogurt or baked falafel, Greek salad, pita chips with tzatziki. I could eat those leftovers all week and not feel bad. Recipes here.

R/R/CS: HUGE rant today: My sis (who has an 8 month old - conceived the first month after their wedding and 1st month stopping BC....) was trying to give me advice yesterday. First she showed me a screenshot of her shitty period tracking app and said "have sex on day 1!! It worked for me!" and by "day 1" she meant the first day of the fertile window, as in -4. She thought that was her O day. I started to explain to her that technically it would be the least likely chance of conception, and that -1 would be the best chance. I guess she got offended by my knowledge and proceeded to say "Ya and how's that working for you????" I think I hate her right now she's coming over today because I am hosting a girl's lunch, I literally don't want to see her/talk to her. She gave me a real half assed apology, explaining that -4 worked for her and I should "try it out" as though I'm some prude not having ANY sex. I need a long long long break from her after today. Just gotta hold it together.
GTKY: What is your favorite healthy dinner? I can only think about the above rant. Sorry, Debbie downer today.

GTKY: What is your favorite healthy dinner? Just made a delicious meal for my meal prep this week. All raw and chopped: cucumber, tomato, parsley, avocado with generous lime juice, chick peas, red onion, and feta cheese. Can add pepper and/or red ginger/red wine vinegar/balsamic vinegar if desired In a pan, heat up coconut oil and lightly sautée shrimp or chicken. Keep the protein warm and add to cold/room temperature salad. yum!
@strickland8052 I'm sorry but that's hilarious. Hope you can get in an extra session soon.
Eta. @PrettyPalomino what a shitty thing to say. She clearly is someone who can't fathom the struggle so many people go through. I'm sorry.

@PrettyPalomino I'm sitting here steaming for you. That's an awful way to be treated by your sister, someone who should be more in your corner than anyone. Good luck today; I know I would have a hard time not bringing it up again. ETA - and sorry you're back at CD2. That's gotta make things worse...

@PrettyPalomino I know she's your sister but I'd cut a b*tch. For real. Who says that? I'd fully have replied with something snarky and sharp ending with "you sort your attitude out right now, you superior *expletive*, or we're done talking." Good luck today, I'd ignore her actively. Grrrr.
GTKY: I make a pretty delicious quinoa salad. It's a Zoe's copycat recipe that I love. Basically quinoa with a bunch of veggies and feta cheese. DH and DS won't go near it, so it's something I make when DH works late and DS is at his dad's
@strickland8052 that is a hilarious story! I hope you have better luck today!
@PrettyPalomino I'm so sorry your sister has been so insensitive. My SIL got KU her first try and often says similarly insensitive things...they'll just never know the emotional heartache of TTC. Hugs!
Cycle/Month: 7/7

WAYDTGKU: Temping, pnv, OPKs, pressed, lots of water
R/R/CS: Had a high temp today but I'm thinking that's just a one-off. Usually ovulate CD 13-17.
GTKY: What is your favorite healthy dinner? Hmm...we try to eat pretty healthy most of the time. I'd say my favorite meal would be spinach salad with berries, walnuts, goat cheese and homemade balsamic dressing.

@PrettyPalomino I don't even know what to say. That's just awful of your sister to say! You are a bigger person than I am for keeping your cool. Sending you strength to get through today.
Cycle/Month: 8/8

WAYDTGKU: One more day of AF, and just in time for DH to get home after a week away. Hoping to step things up this cycle sex-wise. We aimed for ED last cycle but missed the FW thanks to two temp rises. We stopped having sex after the first one just to realize at the end of the cycle that I O'd 3 days later than we thought!
R/R/CS: Wondfos should arrive tomorrow just in time for AF to find her way out. I put in for a position change at work to per diem so I can be home more in the evenings because working eves means DH is in bed asleep before I get home, making sex timing difficult. Hoping to start building my own schedule next week!
GTKY: What is your favorite healthy dinner? Tacos! I make my own low-sodium seasoning, use ground turkey, whole wheat wraps and fresh guacamole instead of sour cream. I love using leftovers for taco salads for the rest of the week with home made lime vinaigrette!
@sarah0985 Your dish sounds reeeally good and now I want to try it!!

WAYDTGP: just HIO and temp when I don't work (night shift).
R/R/CS: I took a break from TB because of stress and a 3 month long cycle. Hoping this cycle to get back on board! Hubbs is gone for a few days with work and hoping I don't O....
GTKY: I made lasagna using zuchinni slivers as noodles and veggies! It was for real as good or better as traditional lasagna.
@strickland8052 I'm sorry you accidentally didn't make a baby, but that was a hilarious story to wake up to! @PrettyPalomino I'm sorry your sister said that to you, that's not chill at all. FX things go alright for you today!
Cycle/Month: 4/4

WAYDTGKU: Temping, PNV, and we can start HIO again (yay!) which also means I'll be checking CM/CP
R/R/CS: I just woke up with AF gone already! I don't know if she's ever stuck around for only five days, and I am so excited.
GTKY: Well I'm a terrible cook and can only make super basic meals, so DH makes most of our good dinners. But we're vegetarian, so most meals consist of a lot of vegetables and some sort of meatless protein.
TTGP February Sig Challenge- Valentine's Day Fail:
Sorry @PrettyPalomino...that was an extremely insensitive thing to say.
@strickland8052...you and your DH will probably be laughing about that story for awhile...it certainly made all of us smile in commiseration.

WAYDTGKTFU: PNVs, BBT, CM, CP, trying for EOD
R/R/CS: We're going to meet my grandmother for a late Xmas get together, and I forgot her gift at home. I realized after we were already 20 minutes in to a 2 hot trip...couldn't turn back because they are expecting us to meet them at church.
GTKY: I like anything with Salmon in it...I don't really cool enough to say I have a favorite recipe though.
@OrangeEv thank you. It really was delicious. It called for a olive oil and vinegar mix dressing but usually with feta cheese and avocado I don't find I need any oil. I forgot the vinegar at home today but found it didn't need it. May try it tomorrow just to see how it tastes in it. It's so simple too.
TTC1: May 2015
Primary IF May 2016; Failed HSG; Scheduled Lap Sept. 2016
R/R/CS: My bbt and opks don't seem to be agreeing this month. I see a temp surge on my bbt, but I'm a mouth-breather at night and we sleep in a cold room so I try to rely more on my opks. I got a positive opk today. DH was out of town from 1/5-1/14 so I'm really hoping I didn't O on cd14. BTW- I have my FF settings set to FAM instead of Advanced. If I switch back to Advanced then I have O on the cd14.
GTKY: What is your favorite healthy dinner? Salmon or a good chicken caesar salad
WAYDTGKU: sex, pnv, temping, charting, opks soon and acupuncture!
R/R/CS: I had my first acupuncture session today. I found it very relaxing. Question for others who do acupuncture: What do you do when you're just laying there if you don't fall asleep? I felt relaxed, but I had a hard time not letting my mind run. Do you have mantras or something you repeat? (Is that a dumb question?)
GTKY: What is your favorite healthy dinner? Hm.... I really like pesto pasta and salad. I make it with whole wheat pasta, skip the pine nuts and add a good amount of spinach to the pesto.
R/R/CS: DH and I leave for Mexico this week. We'll likely be there during my FW, but I just read about the Zika virus and I'm worried that we shouldn't be TTC while there. I'm going to try to get in to see a travel doctor this week, but right now I'm feeling pretty disappointed and scared. If anyone has any additional insight, I'd love to hear it.
GTKY: Ugh, healthy food? Since it's CD2, I crave everything in the world containing salt and fat. But I suppose I'm with the ladies who said salmon. Yum! I also make a great light caramelized pork tenderloin with rice and peas.

R/R/CS: I think yesterday was O day according to temp and OPKs, so just waiting on another high temp or two to confirm.
GTKY: What is your favorite healthy dinner? Hmm, we make a lot of grilled meat and veggies. I also make a chili from the Hungry Girl cookbook - it's really flavorful and low in calories, and I've made it for Super Bowl parties and even those guys loved it. I can't find the name of it now but it's in her original cookbook and uses ranch and taco seasoning.
DD born PPROM preemie at 36 weeks on 10/1/17 after over a year TI, then 3 failed IUIs, and finally a successful IVF FET.

Lurking from TWW @PeggyOlsonFTW I wish I had an answer for you about what to do while the needles are in, but I hate it! My mind races and I can never sleep! I try to do meditative breathing, but that only lasts a few breaths. I count the seconds until the door opens! But for some reason I still feel relaxed afterward!
@strickland8052 That sounds like my perfect meal, too! @linnea625 That is so great that DH usually cooks! Mine will, but mostly I end up doing it, which I don't mind. He starts back at school on Tuesday so he's going to be very busy working fulltime and parttime college at night. Actually, Mon/Wed I'm going to have to figure out how to pack him a nice dinner he can heat up between classes :/ He loves when I make soup, too, I just wonder if it would be filling enough to get him through the night... @babymish FX for perfect timing for you! :) I haven't tried Hello Fresh, but I was thinking about it, or maybe Blue Apron? @Paturkey Hope you start to get some better sleep soon! @whiska Greek night sounds wonderful! And good for you making those healthy commitments to yourself. I need to kind of do a healthy reboot, too. One of the things that used to always help me was to remind myself that no one is MAKING ME give anything up, or DO anything. Any of the sacrifices or commitments I'm trying to make are from me to myself alone. So when I would kind of give myself the opt out like hey, have the chocolate if that's what you really want, but if what you really want is to give yourself the gift of that healthier choice, and then make a conscious decision to so that instead, that can be liberating/empowering. :) @PrettyPalomino Ughh I'm so sorry you have to hang out with her today. You can hold it together for a few hours, though. And hey, even if you don't and you totally flip out and bite her head off... Makes for an interesting day!! But seriously, worst case if you have to lose it on her she's your sister and she'll get over it. I'm sure she must not have any clue how poorly her "advice" is coming off and has literally zero frame of reference based on her own personal experience. I'm sure she means well enough, but obv is in no position to offer much that's actually helpful, so she probably should just be keeping her mouth shut! :D I had a "BFF" tell me I need to relax and probably put on a little more weight. Thanks, I'll get right on that. @sarah0985 That sounds delicious and so creative! I have chickpeas in my fridge ready to do something with this week, too @fitlady21 GL this week driving with the Boss! :) Sounds like a yummy dinner to me, I used to make that on Saturday's when we were living out west @cjt121413 Mmmm love quinoa! I have a red one DH actually likes. Kind of. But he doesn't like feta or chevre so I'm like j/k kind of. :) @jmr1515 We try to eat pretty healthy most of the time around here too. That salad sounds yummy! Any time I make something like that, I never have chevre on hand though. (See above^) @LizaKate1213 Good for you getting to work out a better schedule for yourself! That is awesome, and pretty much one of the main driving factors in us wanting to own our own business. Tacos with lime vinaigrette sounds super yummy too! @OrangeEv FX for good timing for you this cycle!!! We love veggie lasagna in our house, too. I did an eggplant parm once too that was like you said with the zucchini instead of noodles, but it was very thinly sliced eggplant. Wow, that I can't say was low calorie! But it was all healthy ingredients and lower carb anyway than trad lasagna. @GreatGigInTheWomb Hooray for a shortish AF!!! :D @H4aPartyof5 Doh! Gah I would have been so mad at myself, too, if I forgot Grandma's gift at home! But I'm sure it'll be okay... :p Just either send it to her or give it to her next time you see her... Loves me some salmon, too! @LoveIsOwlYouNeed @PennStateCait Not sure. I know for me, I trust my temps more than CM, and I'm just starting OPKs this cycle. Sorry if I'm not much help. @PeggyOlsonFTW I haven't tried acupuncture for TTC, but I did always used to get a bunch of massages. Usually I would spend some time in gratitude for the person doing the massage and asking (mentally) for healing of whatever parts of my body were being addressed, thanking the universe for bringing me to that moment where I could be allowed to relax and receive the gifts of caring, of healing and relaxation... If I were going for a TTC purpose, then as I catch my mind wandering off or stressing in my head, I'd pick something to come back to, like, "Thank you for healing my body and releasing whatever may be blocked within me. Thank you for opening my body and my heart up to receiving the gift of life into my womb" etc whatever I know it sounds hokey, I think that's why sometimes it's easier to have like a mental image/concept to focus on than actual words. Like visualizing the positive flow of energy up and through your vagina, into your ute, up through your tubes, your ovaries, your whole body. A ball of healing white light surrounding and pulsing over your lady-parts - whatever chakra that is I dunno - and enveloping your whole body and mind. Or pick one word or simple phrase, "release what is blocked" "open my heart and prepare my womb" "Welcome new life" etc etc etc whatever resonates with you that day. GL!!!! :D @SweetiePateetie Have a safe trip! I need to look into this virus thing cos I hear ladies talking about it on here but I try not to watch the news so I don't know much else about it. @mrsdee15 That all sounds really yummy! FX for good timing for you this cycle!!!
WAYDTGKU: PNV, temping, charting on paper, CM/CP, **starting OPKs this cycle. Any tips are welcome.** I have the Wondfos on the way and a kit of the CBE Adv as well. I got some fertility tea blend for the first half of my cycle up to O day, and red raspberry leaf, plus I'm already doing green tea, water. Plus, blue mucinex will be a first this month.
R/R/CS: Huge dip this morning and spotting = womp womp But I already figured because I broke down and took a test the past two mornings and they were both BFNs. DH asked for a postmortem on this cycle, where we, "went wrong," and what we need to do to improve this cycle. lol Bless his heart. But we did miss -1 and O because he was all stressed out with work and crabby so... "Let's try not to let our emotions get in the way of our boning," I think were my exact words. :D He also said if we go another cycle or two with no luck then we'll go see the doctor for some testing...
GTKY: We try to cook healthy most of the time, but I think a fave around here has got to be a nice steak with baked sweet potato and green beans or asparagus. WAYDTGKU: PNV, going to buy robitussin (used on the cycle I conceived DD I swear!) and a BBT today, start temping tomorrow to confirm O, HIO on -5, -3,-2, 0, 1 and maybe 2. That's the plan at least.
R/R/CS: bummed I'm not going to get a September baby. Wishing winter was over.
GTKY: What is your favorite healthy dinner? Grilled marinated chicken and asparagus. May not be healthy but I love grilled pizza dough with garlic salt!
Baby #1: Elena 4/6/14 Baby #2: Grayson EDD 10/22/16
@korycir Welcome! We were just saying how funny it was, the lady in our Church class swore by the Robitussin! lol I got the blue mucinex pills though, cos I think that has the same active ingredient. I had my hopes set so high on a September baby too. :/ I have a friend whose son is an October baby so... :P Whatever, not a big deal in the scheme of things though, right! ;)
@BusinessWife Yes mucinex and Robitussin are the same thing...it's guaifenesin. I had luck with the liquid route so I'm sticking to it. I'll take any month. Although I wanted September at least if I do get pregnant this cycle I won't be hugely pregnant in peak summer!
Baby #1: Elena 4/6/14 Baby #2: Grayson EDD 10/22/16
R/R/CS: I'm frustrated with this cycle. OF COURSE the cycle I take a break from charting is the cycle my uterus decides to switch it up. Whatever uterus, I'm not giving up hope for ovulation. YOU WON'T BREAK ME.
GTKY: Steak salad. Oh man, I'm boring. It's my favorite because it's so cheap and easy, though! Fajita steak tips with seasoned salt, cooked medium rare, thrown on top of salad mix (add in cucumbers), with feta cheese. Red wine vinegar as a dressing and multi-grain roll on the side. It takes less than 20 minutes to make, has protein, greens, and carbs.
R/R/CS: cd1 stinks but at least I'm not in limbo any longer! I started working out again today. Committed to making some time for myself and getting myself into a healthier place..kinda fell off the health wagon in early November - time to refocus.
GTKY: What is your favorite healthy dinner? I recently tried salmon for first time and I love it! salmon over a salad with just some red vinegar is my go to healthy meal.
We dont have blue apron here but I'm assuming its the same thing? We have used Hello Fresh for about 5/6 months now and never looked back. It saves us so much money we would have spent nipping to the supermarket for things we didnt need and we eat healtth balanced meals that are so tasty and most of it we would never have cooked before Hello Fresh. It's so convenient too as it takes the thinking and stress out of meal planning you can just crack on and enjoy cooking something new.
@sarah0985 If I'm working out of the house I'll usually cook 2-3 days worth of the steak. You can do it hot or cold, but make sure the steak isn't TOO hot, you don't want to wilt the lettuce. If I'm cooking it to eat right then, I'll let the steak sit for a couple minutes before I throw it on the salad. If I'm eating it a day or two later I'll either eat it cold or heat it just long enough to make it a little warm. And definitely keep the steak separate from the lettuce in the fridge, there's a lot of juices in the steak that could wilt the lettuce.
WAYDTGKU: temping, PNV, green tea, OPKs (even though they confuse me)
R/R/CS: not too much. Aiming for BD on CD 10 and 12 and potentially 14 if DH can hang. I know it's the stress of TTC that gets to him and I probably don't help, but man does this crush my confidence and make me feel so in-desirable. When we dated he couldn't keep his hands off me
GTKY: I do not eat healthy. Like, at all. I'm healthy in terms of blood pressure, cholesterol, weight (I teach at the gym twice a week), but I really need to be better about eating nutritious foods. Sometimes I'll take a salad to work for lunch, but I pretty much hate every minute of eating it.
R/R/CS: temp went up this morning so I think my O was yesterday. Though late last night I took a digital opk and it was "low", when it was previously at "peak" for 48 hours. Does that even make sense if my O was yesterday? Disappointed bc I feel like we didn't hio enough this FW and last night he said couldn't do it. Maybe we should still bd tonight if possible. Need to work on our timing if this month isn't our month.
GTKY: What is your favorite healthy dinner? Baked salmon and roasted garlic asparagus.
R/R/CS: where oh where is my O?! My cycles have averaged 28 days long for months and months. (I know, I know..."you're regular until you ain't") If I haven't Oed yet, I'm not looking at a great chance of making a baby this cycle. Might be time to pull out the BBT again which I was hoping to avoid but I'm thinking these WONDFOs aren't detecting my surge.
GTKY: What is your favorite healthy dinner? Fiesta chicken salad
R/R/CS: enjoying a relaxing Sunday reading 'Big Magic' by Elizabeth Gilbert for a book club with my yoga studio.
GTKY: What is your favorite healthy dinner?
I am a pretty plain and picky eater, but my go-to is just grilled chicken and fruit salad. I know that's not exciting, but it's what I eat most nights for dinner!

GTKY: What is your favorite healthy dinner?
My favorite dinner is when we do a Greek feast and I think it's pretty healthy (if we leave out the spanakopita): grilled sirloin kebabs marinated in lemony yogurt or baked falafel, Greek salad, pita chips with tzatziki. I could eat those leftovers all week and not feel bad. Recipes here.

WAYDTGKU: Planning a romantic getaway for the FW!
I guess she got offended by my knowledge and proceeded to say "Ya and how's that working for you????" I think I hate her right now
GTKY: What is your favorite healthy dinner? I can only think about the above rant. Sorry, Debbie downer today.

Just made a delicious meal for my meal prep this week.
All raw and chopped: cucumber, tomato, parsley, avocado with generous lime juice, chick peas, red onion, and feta cheese. Can add pepper and/or red ginger/red wine vinegar/balsamic vinegar if desired
In a pan, heat up coconut oil and lightly sautée shrimp or chicken.
Keep the protein warm and add to cold/room temperature salad. yum!
@strickland8052 I'm sorry but that's hilarious. Hope you can get in an extra session soon.

@PeggyOlsonFTW I wish I had an answer for you about what to do while the needles are in, but I hate it! My mind races and I can never sleep! I try to do meditative breathing, but that only lasts a few breaths. I count the seconds until the door opens! But for some reason I still feel relaxed afterward!
@PrettyPalomino Ughh I'm so sorry you have to hang out with her today.

@LizaKate1213 Good for you getting to work out a better schedule for yourself!
@PennStateCait Not sure.
GL!!!! :D
@SweetiePateetie Have a safe trip! I need to look into this virus thing cos I hear ladies talking about it on here but I try not to watch the news so I don't know much else about it.
@mrsdee15 That all sounds really yummy! FX for good timing for you this cycle!!!
