First PP period

Six weeks exactly PP and I got my first period. Even while EBF. According to my OB, it means that I'm probably super fertile.

I forgot how much periods suck, anyone else had their first PP period?

Not this time. Last time I got it around 12 weeks pp and got pregnant so I agree with the probably really fertile part.

I had a full on period at 4w pp, now I get mini periods every 2 weeks. So yea, bf does not equal no periods!

I had my PP check up today and she said it looked like it was starting, or going to start soon. I'm only 5 weeks PP and have had fertility issues in the past, so I'm hoping that things will be back on track and it will be easier (for both of us) trying to conceive baby number two as soon as possible.

4 weeks pp and I'm still bleeding! It tapered off a bit but then started again bright red a few days ago. Maybe it's my period? I have my annual exam in a few days so I guess my dr will tell me what's going on then.

That's the thing, how do we know a period didn't sneak in while we were bleeding? I bled for a month. And partway through the bleeding changed and reminded me of a period.

I finally stopped bleeding at about a month PP. I'm just waiting for my first period now.

I've heard there can be a temporary decrease in milk supply during ovulation. Has anyone experienced that?

I had stopped PP bleeding about a week and a half before my period started. Only reason I figured it's my period is because I had mild cramping before it started.

My PP bleeding stopped at around 4 weeks and my period started at 6 weeks. It came with cramps (but a little lighter than normal) and looked like a period (it was more actual blood and not as much discharge/fluid with it). Waiting for my next period to show up and then going back on the pill

Same thing happened with me pretty much. Pp bleeding for about 3 weeks, tapered off for like three days and then a few days of bright red blood. Now nothing, and that was about a week ago, so I think it's safe to say I should be done.

Not yet, but I'm barely 3 weeks PP.

With DD, my first period PP was at 5 weeks.

@sarahgn yes you may experience a slight decrease, and baby might feed differently during this time as well due to the hormones making your milk taste slightly off. It kinda sucks but only lasts about a day or two. Oh the joys of af

I bleed/spot off and on. Ebfing...it's sooo annoying! I am six weeks PP and its gotten heavier. So i am guessing its my period??? Idk

Yup, started 2 days ago at 6 1/2 weeks post partum. Forgot how much periods suck! Ugh!

Started a light period at 6 weeks PP. This was my 4th pregnancy (third child) in 5 years... I'm really trying to be careful with the "fertile" issue. My midwife told me that EBF "can be" an effective BC (97%); but honestly, we cannot afford to take any chances. Rhythm method, mini pill, EBF, and condoms: locking it up like Fort Knox around this house.

ETA: While this is simply an account of my experiences, I realize now how insensitive this comment may come across, and I apologize now to anyone dealing with infertility that I may have offended.

I stopped my pp bleeding around 4 weeks and now I'm 6 weeks pp and am having my period. I had endometriosis previously and I'm anxious to see how pregnancy has effected it. Really hoping the pregnancy has done something for my previous excruciating cramps. So far this period I haven't had any cramps, pains or anything like that just a slight sleep deprivation break down.

I started bleeding again at 6 weeks after several days of not bleeding but my Dr said it was still pp bleeding and not my period.

Got my period at 31 days PP. I have always joked that the tides go by me, though, so I can't say this was terribly surprising.

I'm mired right now in what is probably a period. No cramps. And it comes and goes which is weird.

Mines back! And ouch my left ovary is very mad at me. Feels like someone's stabbing it. Seriously need pain meds for this one. Is it normal to be very painful after baby?

7 weeks. Has anyone tried using a tampon yet? I hate pads but I don't want to mess myself up.

I just started going back to the gym too $:\$ this is gonna mess up my schedule.

I tried a tampon. I was scared of it and out of practice therefore didn't put it in right so it was not a good experience.

Are you breastfeeding? If so it may not come back for a WHILE. My sister is exclusively BFing & didn't get her first pp period for 10 months.

That's my fear. Sex was scary enough. But this pad situation is so uncomfortable.

I am but not exclusively. We supplement with formula. I just was expecting it sooner. I go back on birth control next week so I guess I might not get one at all.

I'm bottle feeding and little one is 7 weeks. Just started 2 days ago. Anyone experiencing heavy bleeding with clots. I went to store. Put on super tampon, pad and toilet paper..still went through my jeans! Ugh! Glad I'm off work 2 days.

I had pp bleeding for about 3 weeks. Started spotting a little the day before my six week checkup. I'm breastfeeding but also supplementing quite a bit (due to supply problems). Ob/gyn said i was starting and went ahead and put my mirena iud in.Now 11 days later I'm still spotting and it's slowly gotten a little heavier. So ready for regular periods or for it to disappear again (due to the mirena) like it did last time!

13 weeks PP and formula feeding...still nothing. Even with BC I'm terrified I'll be having Irish twins lol the chances are slim to none but not having a period really makes you freak out a bit.

I'm 10 weeks pp and I stopped bleeding around 4-5 weeks. And then I spotted for a couple days and then nothing now I just spotted a little yesterday and then some red today. Not sure what's going on. Also I'm EBF

I haven't had a period at 12w PP and EBF, but I got a mirena put in almost 12 days ago and I'm still spotting so it sure feels like I got it, and then some!
