Re: Friday Ticker Change :)
Cravings/ symptoms- over the last week I have truly started getting the aches and pains. Lower back pain, left pelvis/ tailbone pain, soooo tired!
Rants/ raves- rant is that I was doing so good thru most of my pregnancy without hurting. Then BAM last week it hit me.
Rave- 3 week-ish left
Doctor Appointments-
Waiting in the office now. Hopefully baby might have turned! Fingers crossed. ( update: baby is still head up and high, no dialation, no changes in cervix. Have to have another ultrasound next week for measurements, and weight. If not changes I have to schedule a c-section at 39 weeks
Cravings/ symptoms- anything.
Rants- Friggin' trash can dumped over this morning while i was taking the trash out. So i'm ranting at my stupid trashcan for being a jerk and falling over.
Raves- I have everything pretty much ready for this kid. My sister is coming over tomorrow to help with the frozen meals. (and my awesomely cute nephew is coming over too
Doctor Appointments- had my 1st of the last 3 today. Nicolas(cole) is doing good, his head is down and he's lowered a little more. The doctor keeps saying "he's gonna be a good sized kid"
GTKY- What is your ideal situation for labor and delivery? Home birth/ birthing center/ hospital/ med free/ epidural/ iv meds/ c sectional/ vagional birth? If everything went perfect and to plan, what would your little ones birth look like?
my ideal situation for labor. pop out one of those sponge pills, soak it in water for 8 hrs. BOOM BABY!
For real though- we are going to the hospital. I'm going to try to go as long as i can without meds, but it might change. So far our plan is vaginal birth.
but here's what i think is going to happen-- my man is going to be out of town for work, it's going to be 2am, i'm going to think it's just one of those contractions and it's not the real thing. I'll wait it out for too long, my parents will be in Sweden or something, and i won't be able to drive myself to the hospital. I'll have to go through labor alone for 2-5 hours until my man gets there, if he answers his phone. (which in this scenario his phone has died because he forgot to plug it in to the charger) i'll have tried to call everyone and no one picks up, and i end up alone, having this child. BOOM worst case scenario.
Cravings/ symptoms- my body is just giving out on me! My desk job is killing my posture and baby is just so heavy in there! I loved the end of DD's pregnancy so this is completely the opposite but with DD, I didn't have a toddler I was picking up and caring for all evening after work. I need to start paying attention to when I might be overdoing it... and not overdo it! lol It makes me nervous for the next 5.5 weeks and how much worse my pain/uncomfortable-ness will become though.
Rants/ raves- It's Friday!
Doctor Appointments- First week in February!
GTKY- What is your ideal situation for labor and delivery? Home birth/ birthing center/ hospital/ med free/ epidural/ iv meds/ c sectional/ vaginal birth? If everything went perfect and to plan, what would your little ones birth look like?
If LO doesn't come early, I will have a RCS in 5.5 weeks. Not my ideal situation but oh well. So, ideal situation with a RCS -- calm environment! I'm asking for them to follow a "gentle c-section plan" as closely as possible. Go back to the OR, DH in the room the whole time before but I know that's not possible (he will only be able to come in once they are ready to cut), epi actually taking on both sides instead of just one side (I definitely felt "more than pressure" with my first but again, oh well. Cut, cut, snip, snip, while maybe hearing my favorite pandora station in the background (?!), then as the baby is coming out, dropping the drape and letting mommy watch. Once baby is out, letting daddy announce the sex and immediately placing baby on mommy's chest. Not possible as I found out in my last appointment SOOOO, baby will come out, daddy announce the sex, and we get to "feel/touch" our baby through the drape for a minute or two, baby will be cleaned off, take some vitals, daddy cuts the cord, and then within 5 minutes, be placed on my chest. Baby will stay there and nurse, as long as everything is okay, for the whole time while they are stitching me back up. Go to recovery.. get more bonding time.. and then have family come in.
*I haven't decided how we will announce the sex to our parents. Should we send a text while in recovery that everything is fine (God willing) and baby boy or baby girl is here... or should be send a text saying everything is fine and then wait to announce sex when they are in the room?
I am still sad about the RCS however, my birth plan with DD wasn't followed 100% HOWEVER, in the end, a healthy child was born and mommy and baby were alive. That is/was my ultimate plan and achieved! I do have a fear with this one though that something will happen and I will have to be put under/knocked out during the c-section. Eh, worst case scenario in terms of birth plan.
Cravings/ symptoms- carbs and chocolate (but I'm resisting)...as far as symptoms go: horrible back ache, stabby sharp vagina pains, and pelvic pain.
Rants/ raves- nothing
Doctor Appointments- Monday NST and Thursday ultrasound (same every week until delivery)
GTKY- What is your ideal situation for labor and delivery? Home birth/ birthing center/ hospital/ med free/ epidural/ iv meds/ c sectional/ vagional birth? If everything went perfect and to plan, what would your little ones birth look like?
VBAC with epidural, short labor and no scary moments just a happy healthy baby boy at the end. With kangaroo care and breastfeeding right after birth....I'm also interesting in letting baby "crawl" to the breast.
Make a pregnancy ticker
Cravings/ symptoms- same as usua
Rants/ raves- I'm getting kind of sick of people asking me how I'm feeling/if I'm ready for her to be here/blahblahblah. Someone reminded me that she's going to gain half a pound a week until the end. How is that helpful?
Doctor Appointments- next Thursday
GTKY- What is your ideal situation for labor and delivery? Home birth/ birthing center/ hospital/ med free/ epidural/ iv meds/ c sectional/ vagional birth? If everything went perfect and to plan, what would your little ones birth look like?
I would like to do a hospital, med-free, natural birth. We're planning on delayed cord clamping, but other than that we're going with the flow. It's a state law for the baby to get eye ointment, otherwise we probably wouldn't do that
Cravings/ symptoms- really wanting chicken enchiladas from a certain restaurant. Symptoms- still throwing up almost every morning, occasional back pain, and feeling huge.
Rants/ raves- no real rants except I feel super hot right now, which is irritating.
Raves- just happy to have hit 35 weeks, and feeling pretty good. Plus the patriots or winning right now!(;
Doctor Appointments- had one Tuesday not again until the 29th. Am I the only one who's only had 1 ultrasound (@18 weeks). They told me Tuesday they won't order another one since I'm measuring right on schedule and am not high risk. The only thing that happens at my appts are weight, blood pressure, measure of belly and heartbeat. I feel like some of you have had so much testing and such and it worries me that I've had nothing?!?
GTKY- What is your ideal situation for labor and delivery? Home birth/ birthing center/ hospital/ med free/ epidural/ iv meds/ c sectional/ vagional birth? If everything went perfect and to plan, what would your little ones birth look like?
Hospital, vaginal with an epidural (that works perfectly and doesn't numb from belly up like it does some people- idk why but that really worries me often)! I wouldn't complain if it was a quick labor+delivery, but I tell myself as long as I'm okay and baby is healthy then a long labor wouldn't be bad. Lol.
Cravings/ symptoms- lots of contractions, back pain, lots of pressure
Rants/ raves- 1 more week of work yayyyyy!! Also I hate when people think they know more about your pregnancy than you/ your doctors. "You aren't even close, you haven't dropped yet" actually, baby's been super low from day one, dr said he's dropped and midwife said fingers crossed we make it 2 more weeks, soooo....please keep your coments to yourself, I don't believe I asked your opinion, k thanks!
Doctor Appointments- Monday for that strep b test thing
GTKY- What is your ideal situation for labor and delivery? Home birth/ birthing center/ hospital/ med free/ epidural/ iv meds/ c sectional/ vagional birth? If everything went perfect and to plan, what would your little ones birth look like?
Hospital, I would really like to be med free, but if I can't handle it I'll gladly take an epidural. I really REALLY want to avoid a c section..Andddd hopefully it won't be too long lol. I'd like to try to labor at home as long as possible, but I'm scared I'll end up having an accidental home birth lol
Cravings/ symptoms- Back pain, pressure, contractions, general discomfort
Rants/ raves- So happy to have made it to 36 weeks and hoping this little guy will stay put for a few more! Was at the doctor this past week and I'm already starting to dilate so trying to take it easy until at least 37 weeks (but more like 39 weeks).
Doctor Appointments- 37 week appointment this week
GTKY- What is your ideal situation for labor and delivery? Home birth/ birthing center/ hospital/ med free/ epidural/ iv meds/ c sectional/ vagional birth? If everything went perfect and to plan, what would your little ones birth look like?
I'm not sure I've planned out an ideal situation as I'm a FTM, I'm just trying to take things as they come. That said, we are planning on a hospital birth where I try without meds for as long as possible and if it all gets to be too much, I'm open to an epidural. Just want healthy baby, healthy mom!
