My doctor says I'm a fingertip dilated, what does that mean?

Re: Dilated

  • It means you should ask your doctor and pick up a pregnancy book asap!

  • it means a fingertip..... not sure how much more clear that could be. Also translates to about 1cm.

  • I don't think it's absurd enough to be MUD, just ignorant enough to make me worry for the baby's future.
  • It's mean you're having a cat...not a baby.
  • What is MUD?
  • Yea, I've been a member but I've never posted. These questions popped into my head today. For the 2 people who commented and was very ignorant and rude doesn't need to comment anymore. I got the paternity down. I know who the father is but I'm tired of him denying her. This isn't made up drama and I didn't post a question just to get shut down and have everyone say they are worried about my child. There is now worry here. I've got my daughter. She will be well supported, loved and taken care of. I'm sorry I posted 2 questions in the same day. I won't post anymore. Sorry, again, this is my first pregnancy and I have questions. Have a good night everyone.
  • I think the point was more than we don't understand the question. A fingertip dilated means that your cervix is dilated to the width of a fingertip... your other post sounded more like the guy was doubting it, but if he doesn't believe you then the best way to convince him is a DNA test after baby is here.

  • Also, in an effort to give you some helpful advice and not just a snarky response, if you ever don't understand something your doctor tells you, ASK YOUR DOCTOR WHAT THEY MEAN. No reason to leave an appointment confused.

Dude really?? You ask what a fingertip dilated (which is pretty self-explanatory) but call PPs ignorant? Not cool.
ALL OF THIS. Don't. You need to ask your OB, or use logic. But don't call people here ignorant.

ANDPLUSALSO: your other post was so random, and also not something strangers online would be able to answer for you. So... yeah.
