Weird bladder symptoms

I'm 11 weeks today, and this week I started having the weirdest bladder/pelvic symptoms. I feel a sort-of tickle inside my pelvis that radiates down my vagina. It's not painful, but strange and irritating. The urge to pee is intense, but I think my bladder is upset that something's pushing on it. I had a urine test last week that came back negative, and I'm really curious if this is normal or what! Thanks for your input.

I have the exact same thing. Went to the dr, no uti. He said that my uterus was top heavy and in certain positions it's collapsing on my bladder and squishing it and my urethra.

My dr drew a picture showing my uterus folding over my bladder. It looked like a hot air balloon collapsing. No clue why he drew a picture. I was just like dude I got the explaination, but he put so much effort into it (like 5 mins at least) I didn't have the heart to shut him down. Probably one of the reasons they were running 2 hrs behind that day.

I would go get checked out could be an UTI. I have been fighting one for over a month better to get it cultured just in case UTI's can become very serious in pregnancy.

During my first pregnancy I had similar symptoms that were making me think I either had a bladder infection or baby was pushing on it or something. I started having trouble emptying my bladder. To the point that I would have to lean forward and push on my lower abdomen while forcing myself to pee. Then upon standing and washing my hands, I felt like I had to go again and it would be easier to urinate the second try. It was so bad that when I was having those early ultrasounds at the fertility clinic where they need your bladder to be completely empty to see stuff, the nurse would take out the wand and ask me to go try in the bathroom again. So embarrassing that I couldn't even pee right!

I think bladder changes are part of pregnancy. And part of the reason they find pregnant women are more susceptible to UTIs and bladder infections. Talk to your midwife about it and be sure to drink plenty of water so you have a lot of opportunities to use the restroom. Good luck!

It sounds like you have a really caring, diligent doctor!!
