Postpartum bod

Soo I thought I would share to give you all a positive outlook on your body post labor ... I think I like my post partum bod better than my body pre pregnancy ! I used to be thin , firm and gangly lolll (I'm like 5 ft 10) but now I have junk in all the right places lolll. My booty and boobs are fuller , my tummy is much softer but I feel way more feminine than I ever have . One tip I would suggest .. Breast feed for atleast the first week or so. I think it really helped my uterus and tummy shrink down. You can literally feel it contracting during BF , it's a little uncomfortable but I think it really helps recovery time :)
I just thought I would share a postive view on body image Post labor.
I hope you all have a quick and healthy recovery

Stm here and I can't complain too much after 16 days pp. I gained too much weight in the very beginning due to depression(had a miscarriage) then got pregnant only a week later. I was so nauseous for the first few months I just wanted carbs and then I retained a shit load of water toward the end. I weighed myself at 12 days pp and had lost 33 pounds and my stomach is flat again, still a little squishy but I'll deal with it. Just need these hips to get a little smaller again. Lol
But my perfect little boy was totally worth it!
I am also breastfeeding again. I believe it makes a huge difference.
  • My tummy feels like a giant marshmallow, but I couldn't care less because I am so entranced with my son. There will be a day where I can work on my body again, but today and every day in the near future is for snuggling. My marshmallow belly is perfect for baby cuddles anyways. Great post :)
  • Haven't hopped on a scale yet but I do think the breastfeeding is helping with my stomach.
  • I weighed myself today after first seeing this post and I am down below pre-pregnancy weight at 8 days pp. I gained a bunch of water weight near the end, bringing my total gained to almost 40lbs. Totally credit breastfeeding! I plan on starting to walk around the block soon (FL winter...yay!) to help even more!

  • @MissMheMhe that is awesome! I'm 8 days out too and also gained close to 40 (was normal weight beforehand), might go to the gym just to walk on the treadmill next week after a little more sleep and that will be my first weigh-in.
