I feel awful for everyone going through the flu!! I can't imagine.... For those that are congested, try using a Netti pot. I use mine once a week at least to clear my sinuses (I teach 1st grade and have been very lucky this year so far).
I'm stuck inbetween being super uncomfortable while trying to sleep due to my belly and wondering why my belly isn't getting much bigger! Then my fears of growth restrictions keep me up all night. FTM so I just don't know how my body grows babies and it's kinda stressful at times! I'm so anxious to go to my next appt and see if he's growing on schedule still. Last time he was a few days behind my EDD, the doctor said that's normal but I'm so worried about my baby. I'm praying now that I'm in single digits for weeks left (9 weeks and 5 days lol) that time will go more quickly.
You will always worry while pregnant, whether its #1 or #5 - you're a mom and that's what you do now I worry about all the same things, I've had 8lb babies and a 6lb13oz baby, and I didn't do anything differently with any of the pregnancies. But I still obsess over 'is my belly too big??' 'is my belly growing enough??' 'will my BP be high' 'am I eating the right things' etc etc etc.
So glad to read this list and finally feel not so alone. It's 4:30 am and I woke up an hour ago with leg discomfort and a need to pee and can't get back to sleep.
This week suddenly everything has gotten bad. I'm at 32 w, 4 d. I've had carpal tunnel in both wrists for several weeks now, but the biggest problem is the pelvic pain. Baby feels huge all of a sudden. I try to walk most days, but this week I walked once for about thirty minutes and it was too much. But it hurts so much when I sit for a long time too. I ordered a couple of heavy duty support bands yesterday and am hoping one of those will help. I also just started seeing a chiropractor this week. I'm not exactly sure how I'm going to get through the next 7 1/2 weeks!
Walking for me is getting pretty tough too. And I have to walk ALL. DAY.
I feel like I'm carrying a 50 lb bowling ball that is going to just fall out by the end of the school day.
I feel like I've been repeatedly kicked in the HooHaa, like it's swollen and bruised.
I'm only 32 weeks! How the heck am I going to make it another 8?! 7 of which I'm working, because the last week is Spring Break!
And did I mention SIL#2 just had her baby yesterday and now my brain is all "Holy crap you're next! Hurry up March, hurry up! No more sleeping, lots more thinking!" Ugh!
I just feel like baby is already 10lbs and busting out of my stomach when stretching and vag when she's sleeping. I could cry just walking into work. I don't remember it sucking this bad with dd1 until like week 39. I Black Friday shopped at 41 weeks last time around, and at 31 weeks now I hardly made it to target and back home on a Sunday!
THANK YOU! I feel the same way about #2 - I am 32.5 weeks and this baby is taking everything out of me. My DH is surprised too because I had so much energy until I delivered last time at 41 weeks. My last ultrasound said #2 is 5 pounds but I swear she is 20 pounds and is trying to bust out!!!
I didn't think third trimester was so bad until I came down with the FLU!! It is the worst. Dr put me on Tamiflu which I hate to take not knowing if there may be risks but I guess the benefits outweigh the risks of flu complications... Hope no one else has to deal with this.
Hope you feel better soon! I have been dealing with a bad flu for 3 weeks now. First started off with a fever, then really bad sinus congestion to the point where my gum and face hurt and now it's just a stuffy nose.
I feel your pain! I got the cold/flu before xmas and I had a lingering cough until 2 weeks ago and it came back in full force. My face and gums hurt too now it is just a cough and sinus pressure. I swear I will never take for granted REAL cold medicine again once this is all over. Tylenol Cold does nothing compared to the "good" stuff. Hope you feel better!
My body and brain have stopped working. I'm lucky if I function for 4 hrs a day at most. Physically I was not prepared for this pregnancy at 39 years old. I wonder if it would have been easier on my body in my 20's.
The day I hit 35 weeks it's like the hormones went ballistic again. I've been a mental basket case for 3 days.
I just have to keep reminding myself not much longer!
I'm 39 too! And my body is going through the wringer. I definitely think I could have taken this more in stride in my 20s or early 30s, but this is how my life worked out. Hope I can cope with this and keep working for 7 more weeks.
I'm a fiery erupting volcano. Heartburn is so bad my eyes are watering away, and I'm sitting straight up. Oh, and the kid keeps getting into the most uncomfortable positions. There will be no sleep tonight.

Omg THIS. With #1 I was literally unfazed until 41.5 weeks, still walking a ton, etc. with this one I'm DONE and it's only 33 weeks! Like cannot walk too much, feel like the child is going to fall out, get tired SO easily done. I'd like to this having a three year old to keep up with plays a part but really I think I'm just older and weaker lol.

LOL. Well I guess the pain could be worse. Also so much pelvic pressure this week as well.
