DW is in prep now. She's getting a scan first because we are a little concerned she already ovulated. We should know in just a few mins. (Nurse just said she hasn't yet!) The clinic doesn't let anyone in the OR any longer. Last time I went in with her. Nurse said they are good to go and are starting now. I'll know numbers very soon. Wife and I took good natured bets. She thinks we get 20 eggs, I'm guessing 18. I'll let you know.

12 eggs. We'll know tomorrow how many fertilize. She's doing well. Just waking up. Five years ago we got 21 eggs and 10 fertilized and made it to 5 days, froze and thawed. We were hoping for just a few great embryos this time. We'll see how it goes!

Hey there! How exciting!! Sounds like yall are right on track! I hope your wife has a speedy recovery and is feeling good. Remind me again (can't remember if you mentioned this in the other thread) are you doing a fresh or frozen transfer? I'm keeping my fingers crossed for your little ones!!

@mskeenan Thanks! Fresh transfer was cancelled due to high P4 numbers. Assuming DW cycle comes as expected we'll be able to get a FET in before she goes on a business trip in February. A day late though and we're stuck waiting until March.

Thanks everyone!! Egg and sperm are doing the naught as we speak. We'll get a fertilization report tomorrow morning on how exciting it was. Hoping at least 6 fertilize.

12 eggs, 6 mature and 4 fertilized with a 5th thinking about it. We have no information on how they look and we won't know until Thursday day. (Boo!) We were a little bummed and we are definitely nervous but we got to thinking about the timeline. Based on DW hormones and follicles we should have done the ER on Sunday but our clinic doesn't do anything on Sunday, so they pushed us to Monday. We are guessing based on this that at least half of the 6 eggs we lost were over mature. Bummer but praying for the 4 and that 5th.

4 or 5 is still promising.  I won't get answers until Monday on how many will survive for freeze.  Thursday news is great! I hope you get some good news.

@babyexpress We will be happy if we get 4 or so that make it to day 3 freeze. In fact that's the number we were shooting for as long as they are good looking. It must be terrible having no updates until Monday!! We are barely containing ourselves now!

Ugh @CMartin6706 Can tomorrow come soon enough?! I need some news!! I find out how many will be frozen tomorrow. I'm frustrated bc tomorrow is technically day 6... they only gave me updates days 1 and 2 and nothing until six. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for good news for you tomorrow!

Update: Our clinic patient portal has been updated to reflect a 7:15 embryo check and a freeze was added on for 8am! This seems like positive news that at least something survived although we haven't gotten a call about quality. DW is emailing bc she's in meetings during the scheduled call from the embryologist. As a reminder we got 12 eggs, 6 mature, 4 fertilized with a 5th thinking about it. We didn't want a high number of eggs or embryos although, if we have to do another ER we'll try for more since we are using donor sperm and they use the whole vial now.

They look great. All are 8 cell, the golden standard, and two are rated good with one rated fair. We are thrilled!
